I go to this cleaners in a pinch, as they are open 7am-9pm every day of the week, except Sundays when they are open until 5pm. They are a block away from me, and I've justified it because it's just a run of the mill cleaning that my clothes need. I wear business professional to work. I sit at a desk. My clothes don't get that dirty. UGH. Every time I go here, I get really upset because my clothes don't seem clean, they still have "stains" (hairspray does NOT stain), and they have wrinkles or improper ironing. The prices are also exorbitant. Sure, a man's button down may only be $2, but a woman's dress shirt and a polyester dress is $18.87. Although there was no itemized bill, I was charged extra because my dress had a lining and the shirt apparently had pre-stain treatment. Now, if my shirt had pre-stain treatment, then why are there still spots on it from my hairspray? Also, how does the lining of a dress cost more? Do they charge more when pants are lined? I doubt it. I am really not a fan of this place, but I give them an extra star for great customer service. read more

This place is a complete rip off $43 to clean a queen size duvet and $27 to press only a queen size duvet will never go there again when I questioned the I noticed that they had charged me for king size duvet the cashier took $1 off the price. THIS CLEANERS IS RIPPING THEIR CUSTOMER OFF. I'm contacting the Better Business Business Bureau and anybody else who's been ripped off by there prices. read more

My dad used this place for decades. I just started using it. My suit jackets come out just fine. The inside and outside of the store are clean and well maintained. I like how the parking is set up. This cleaners is located close by my house so I tried to keep my business with the small local shop owners. The dry cleaning and pressing was ok. Nothing great, seams were a bit off sometimes. But a few months ago someone gave me 3 men's dress shirts. I brought them in to be dry cleaned. When I picked them up it came to almost $20. WTF I would have ironed them myself for that amount! I have been taking my clothes and occasional special items to those burg cleaners for the last five years or more and they have always provided excellent service with friendly staff and consistent completion of the order on time. I also like to bring small tailoring items to the cleaners. Theor discount card you can purchase ends up sending you much more money in the end if you use it. What can I say? Returned a week later with my velure/velvet couch covers with extremely high reservations and expectations. All 6 cushion coverings came back better than new and I even put them on a 1 day rush because of a party I was throwing that next day! Annie and her team were beyond accommodating and even catered to my over the top pickiness! Very convenient location for anyone in the Long Beach area especially! This place opens at 5AM and closes at 9PM. Cannot beat that! I love in LBC and work in Santa Monica so it's very frustrating having to leave my house before anything opens and getting home (after traffic) when everything is closed. I feel the need to chime in with Elizabeth on Foasbergs cleaners. I was a customer for many years as they were conveniently located on my route to and from work. The drive thru parking was a plus since parking in the area can be difficult at times. I know the operating margin for dry cleaners is razor thin, which would make you think that providing good service would bring customers to your business. As the saying goes "Its easy to say you provide good service when everything goes right. The real test is when it goes wrong!". Foasbergs failed me in this department. I learned that when you go to a dry cleaners, ask what their policy is when they either damage or lose an expensive dress shirt. During my "I'm a hot shot businessman" days I had my shirts custom made. They went for about $250 - $300 a pop. For a year or two I dropped off my shirts with no problems then bam major damage to a shirt that could not be repaired. One of the owners got involved and he said the best he could do was give me a $25 credit to be used within 3 months. Huh? He said he had to depreciate the value of the shirt. Well the shirt was one year old and custom shirts last a long time. I have shirts that were made in 1993 and they still look great. OK Mr. Foasberg, C-ya. And you can keep your credit too. I now use Betty Brite just down the street. A bit more expensive but their policy is to replace any damaged or lost items for full value as long as you have a receipt. Which I do just for this purpose. Take a moment and shop around for a good dry cleaners that will back their work and makes things right when they go wrong. You won't regret it. read more

So I've used this cleaners 3 times now since March when I moved here. I'm on Yelp looking for somewhere else to go to today. While the cleaning aspect is ok, this is the first cleaners I've been to that doesn't tell you how much you owe until you come back OR ask them before you leave and they have to calculate it. Why should it be something I have to ask for or a surprise? It should be plain and simple on my claim ticket what I left and how much it costs to clean it. Period. And this cleaners is pricey too. So either the system needs to be updated to give me a total when I leave my clothes or something's fishy. read more

Service was mediocre. The driveway is awesome and handy especially with a sleeping 6 month old in the car, but not worth the shock of my life when I picked up my dry cleaning a got the bill! The only thing positive I have to say about this cleaner is that they paid to replace a tie of mine that they lost. That however in no way makes up for their lack of professionalish, the fact that they don't listen to orders correctly (creasing when no crease asked for, wrong starch etc). First off let me say that there are NO good dry cleaners in Long Beach. None. Zero. I go here because it is on the to/from route to work/home. They are decent and have rectified any screw-ups that have happened...like 2 in the year that I have been going there. My continued frustration with them AND every other dry cleaner in LBC is NO CREASES IN MY KHAKIS and PLEASE USE COLLAR STANDS. I hate when I pick-up my khakis and they have creases after I clearly say no creases. I have started to tell the people to clip the little "no crease" flag on each pair and won't leave until they do so. I also request collar stands for my shirts because I LOATHE it when they smash the collar at the button. That is what those little plastic collar stands are for, ok!? I know they have them and wish I could find the tag for that too. Price, I really don't know if they are more or less. Looks like they may be high from the other reviews here on yelp. If you find somebody better, please let me know. I have given up searching. read more

Fosberg's is a decent dry cleaners. It reminds me of a fast food joint. They have drive-thru lanes and computer terminals to check you in. The quality of the work is average and no-frills. The price is adequate also. I would not go out of my way to come here, but I do live very close, so it's convenient. Kind of like the Starbucks of laundry. read more

Ruined pocket and side back panel of a down jacket then tried to tell me there had never been any down/feathers in the pocket. I was asked to drop off the jacket and the manager would call me the following day, I never received that call, I had to follow up with them and was told again the manager would call me the following day. When he finally did still claimed there were no feathers at all in that section of the pocket! I picked up my jacket and was given the same excuse however, they had gone ahead and washed my jacket once again and clearly the feathers are in there, you can feel them but they are now damaged/squished and still they couldn't even own up to it. I even showed them pictures clearly showing the jacket was "puffy" with feathers yet unbelievably they couldn't just apologize which is all I was asking for. read more

I agree with others that about the only redeeming quality of this place is their hours and ability to turn dry cleaning around on a weekend. Otherwise, the counter help is unfriendly at best, and they have a habit of losing stuff. I've had to drive to one of their other locations (way out of the way) to pickup something that they mishandled. They even went as far as to send a friend of mine to a private residence in Seal Beach to retrieve his clothes that were mistakenly given away to someone else! Really hard to believe, but true. You'll do better with Murre cleaners, just up the street. read more

These guys used to be a five-star and have drop significantly on service. I've been working with them for 30 years and have always felt good working with them. Since the last management change they have really gone downhill they have ruined three of my good shirts and tell me that it was like that when they came in one shirt was literally shredded on the arms which I would have never want it that way. They knock off buttons and don't replace them. There is a pro side which is they have next day service which is great probably the only reason why it pulled it up to a 2-star I really need to find a new cleaners but I keep thinking they'll get better read more

This is a horrible place. The dry cleaning is questionable, but more concerning is they lose things. Have no fear, eventually, (but not always) they find it but it might be 9 months after the fact. Always, I repeat always, keep your ticket and make sure you count what you get back. 9 times out of 10, something is forgotten. When you do file a complaint, the employees do not care, and no manager is ever there. You can file a complaint all you want, they won't call you back. When you call for the manager, don't ever expect a phone call back. I'm amazed they are in business, probably the convenience - that is about the only good thing I can say. And... chances are, your favorite small dry cleaner (like the one by the 99 cent store) have sold out to Foasberg. Daniel, please return! Dropped my suit off to be dry cleaned same day. Came back at 6:30pm the same evening with my receipt and they can't seem to find my clothes anywhere. She asked me if my clothes would be under a different number. I replied that I gave her my receipt that I received that morning. Made me wait more than 45 minutes until a manager came. The manager was drinking at Baddleys across the street. Still haven't found my clothes. Never coming back here again. read more

I don't understand why some reviews have rated this business low. We have been doing business with Foasberg for over 20 years...some of that at the Wardlow location and the rest at the Broadway/Redondo location. If we ever had a problem, which we have had, they were immediately corrected. It is a family run business and they treat their customers like family. About 12 years ago when we moved into LB from SH we migrated over to the Broadway/Redondo location. There were some bumps and the staff wasn't all about customer service but the changes the Foasberg's have made over the years by hiring great management and staff has benefited the customers. We wouldn't think about going anywhere else; they care about their customers and it shows from their awesome customer service. read more

I have been using this Foasberg Cleaners location for quite a few years now and this was after trying 3 other cleaners in our area. This location by far is the best cleaners in the area. Customer service is a must for me, I spent many years in customer service positions and managed many customer service representatives in my career, of course my clothes are important too and they have done an excellent job handling all my needs. Barbara is one of the best customer oriented people I know! I am always welcomed with a smile and a lot of laughs : ) In fact the whole crew at Foasberg is a warm and friendly crew. I cannot say that many of the businesses I visit these days has such an environment and it is very rare that my name is ever remembered in those locations.
