I've had a lot of death this year and only have one suit that fits me at the moment, so the time had come to get it dry cleaned.... Actually, it was way past that time, so I opened up my Yelp app and searched for the best rated dry cleaners near me and this location was highly rated and close by. It was a two piece suit and it cost me 22 bucks. I'm not sure if that's cheap, fair, or expensive but that's what I paid. The guy I interacted with was super cool and friendly. I only have one knock and that is that I dropped it off on a Saturday and it was ready on the following Thursday. Very pleased! I came in to get a skirt hemmed which was needed in just a couple of days. Luckily, the seamstress was able to work it in and to my surprise, it was ready the next day! They take your mobile number and you get a text message when you drop it off and also when it's ready. The seamstress works on site right in front of the window. read more

I have gone there several times for alterations. Always done very well and they are really nice people there.

Brought in a stuffed Blue M&M to them and asked if it could be cleaned without damaging it. The kid at the counter told me they would check into it but wouldn't do anything if it was possible to damage it. So I left it with them. About 2 weeks went by before I even heard from them and at that point I was told it split open. The manage did offer to buy me a replacement but turns out the replacement it bought was the Green M&M. He told me that my item was at a different location and he would let me know when it was back at this location with the replacement. It took another 3 weeks before I was able to see it. He then wanted to charge me $44 for damaging my item. Like I was told from the beginning, he shouldn't have even tried if he wasn't sure. Beach Cleaners is located at 4th Street and Temple across from the laundromat. I first discovered this cute little clothes drop-off cleaners, while walking to the local super market. I usually would drive right by, and it wasn't until I got out and walked the neighborhood that it was discovered. The customer service is the best, the ladies at the counter know their stains and great to know that's it's organic cleaning. I wouldn't trust these clowns to tie my shoes, let alone alter my clothing. Here's what happened. I called and asked if they could replace the two zippers on an ultra lightweight backpacking tent. The lady who answered said they probably could, but suggested I come by so that the seamstress could check it out. I visit them, and she says they can do it. She says it would take about a week, but I needed it for the weekend, so I decided to take it camping and bring it back at a later point. I brought it back, and this time a man was there, and he said it would take 2 weeks. I was like fine, no problem, but when I came back, it wasn't ready and he told me they'd sent it away to be repaired and weren't sure what the status was. I was a little surprised, but agreed to come back in a week like he suggested. When I did, only one of two zippers were replaced, and instead of an ultra lightweight zipper, it's a big ol' heavy honker of a zipper. I'm annoyed, and they agree to send it back to get the other zipper replaced. Same deal happened again with the timeline, you know? Delayed, no communication, blah blah blah. These guys do not operate with any sort of urgency and they are awful communicators. I constantly had to follow up. By the time they let me know it was done, it took me a sec to get back over there and when I picked it up, it had.. two different zippers, both heavyweight. There's a new hole in the mesh that we now must repair ourselves, and the tent door buckles dramatically because the zipper is too heavy for the material. I suspect eventually it will tear because of this. I've attached photos of this. I also want to note for the record that I was completely respectful this entire time, up until I picked it up and noted I would never be back (I'm sure they're glad to see my back). The woman at the front desk seemed to understand why I felt this way. I will post the time stamped conversation if the owner tries to dispute my record of events. read more

Fantastic local business offering dry cleaning and alterations. Conveniently located on 4th street, the place is cute and quaint, with hand painted art and succulents adorning the exterior. They use energy efficient cleaning methods, and organic ingredients free from chemicals like perc (perchloroethylene), which is a hazardous air pollutant and carcinogen. Dry cleaning for three men's dress shirts and a jacket was $20. Rushed service is available, but I was in no hurry, so I picked up the clothes a few days later. Perfectly cleaned, the garments looked as good as new, and smelled nice. Not perfumed, just a fresh, crisp scent. The sweet ladies working helped me carry them into my car, as my hands were full of coffee and pastries (lol). I will definitely be back for all of our dry cleaning needs. read more

When I arrived at Beach Cleaners, I could tell they were super busy. The woman who worked at the front was very helpful. She let me know that they were extremely busy but she would check to see what she could do. Luckily she was able to get my order in for next day. I just picked up my 2 things and they did a great job! Item #1. Bright mustard yellow coat that had a brown molé stain. The stain was old too. Like 2 months? I was skeptical dropping it off but they got it out completely! Yay! Item #2. Bright red trench. I'd had it cleaned in the past but wasn't ever satisfied. You know how the neck area doesn't ever seem to get clean? They got that clean too. Yay! I appreciated that when I went to drop off my things they read the tags. I didn't even read the tags! I learned that the bridesmaid dress I took required spot cleaning and maybe hand washing (who ever heard of an article of clothing that can't be dry cleaned?!). Also when I went to pick up they mentioned texting. I guess they text you if your stuff is running late. How convenient! They offer alteration services too. I believe the lady working there is blind and deaf, same as her seamstress. They never replied to my "hello" no "good bye" lol I left a bunch of cloth for cleaning and pointed out a huge spot on a light blue dress which only a blind person can't see. I was told that it will be cleaned. Also I dropped a pair of 300$ jeans to raise hem a little bit. Neither of ladies were friendly to me, but whatever I just wanted to get the job done. In a week or so my husband picked up all the clothing including the jeans. And as you see on the pictures a very sloppy job was done. My brand new jeans were cut in a super sloppy way with several threads coming out. I came back to the location and asked them to fix it, they did. And I was thinking ok I will forgive them for wasting my time, but tonight when I was going to wear my light blue dress for thanksgiving dinner I realized that the spot is still there. Like she didn't even try to remove it. It looks like a very fresh spot exactly like it was before That's why I think both ladies working there are blind and deaf and should find other job. Love these cleaners. They also do alterations! I had a lab coat that needed to be dry cleaned and it cost me less than $5. The other cleaner places I've asked around were trying to charge me over $15 for this one piece of lab coat. I also love the location. We recently moved to the area and are searching for a dry cleaner. We've tried a two now and Beach Villa is our third - and will not be going back. Owner indicated laundered shirts are same price as dry cleaned shirts. When they are $3+ per shirt, no thanks. Prices are being adjusted in 2014, per owner. The owners claim was that they use all organic products and that the machines cost her $100k........not sure that was relevant information for the customer? Maybe use different language when justifying your prices? Owner stated my items would be ready by Thursday but I did not receive notification until Friday or Saturday. She texts you when your items are ready. When I picked up my items, something told me to count them. What do you know - I was missing an item. I had to mention it to her then she claimed it was still at the cleaners (location that actually does her dry cleaning) and probably because it was white. Was it white? I have no idea. I'm still waiting on a call back to learn where my missing item is and how the owner can "make it better".....and it's been nearly a month. Owner is very sweet and indicated that she would do everything she could to find the missing item. If she had confessed when I picked up my items, this would be a very different post...but for me to find out, it's a little frustrating. I'm off to find a new dry cleaners but wish Beach Villa the best. read more

Drycleaner: Nice atmosphere, affordable prices. They send out their items for dry cleaning they are not done in house but they are organic. They re-dry cleaned an item for me because there was a small spot and they said that wasn't up to their standards, which I really appreciated. Alterations: They have in house alteration staff which is very convenient. I've had half a dozen items altered here and would recommend for simple hems but not for larger alterations such as having pants tailored, dresses let out etc. My attempts at using this location for a detailed, skilled tailor for my vintage items were sadly unsuccessful. read more

The owner and staff are very friendly. They try to remember their customers on a first name basis. They also provide a reusable garment bag at no cost to pick up your clothes in, i respect that. However as a cleaning service, I do expect clean clothes and that doesn't seem to always be the case.
