I brought in an eBay mistake wool jacket that the previous owner washed in water and it was shrunken and misshaped. I asked them if they could stretch it out and they would not touch it. I appreciate that honestly rather than have them think they could fix it and then end up ruining it more. My linen shirts were pressed and look like new. I'm giving this review four stars only because my sweater was fixed to perfection. I was not very pleased that I brought it in one Friday, came in on the next Tuesday to find out that they fixed the wrong side. I was told just to hang onto my ticket. A week went by and nobody bothered to call. I would've thought under the circumstances because I was never given an exact day on when my sweater would be fixed that I would get someone to call. No one ever did. This is my first visit to this cleaner shop, and I was severely disappointed by its results, aside from my sweater being fixed. I thought it was not a great way for me to be introduced to a new business when they fumbled the ball on me. To err is human, to forgive divine. I will give this place another shot. Hopefully they will have things together next time for whatever task I set them. read more

I always try to stay positive in my reviews, but I also believe in being honest. Unfortunately, my experience here deserves a one star. I came in to get two pairs of pants and an apron altered. I was assisted by two different women who quoted me different prices while standing in front of each other. One said around 75 dollars, and the other said 88 dollars. They explained I was being charged for adjustments to both the length and width, which I accepted because I needed the items urgently for work. When I came back to pick them up, I was told the total had changed to 111 dollars due to a misquote. At that point, I had no choice but to pay because I needed my work clothes, but the new total was already more than the value of the clothes themselves. To make things worse, my clothes were returned with some kind of hard wax-like stain on them. This was a really frustrating and disappointing experience. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to others. read more

The two ladies at the front desk were friendly, interactive, and helpful! On drop off I was able to park right in front because they have a designated spot for quick drop off/pick up! That's soo needed in this crowded parking lot that shares a Target and other eateries. I thought the pricing was EXTREMELY fair for same day service. When a button is loose, they've (although not always) fix it without extra charge. I also will get pants hemmed from time to time and generally they do a good job. horrible customer service. took my bridesmaid dress to get hemmed, received it 2 days before the wedding and a dress that was supposed to be floor length was now 5 inches from the flood without shoes on... (and yes i tried it on in store and it was measured out to the floor). Mind you the price tag was not cheap, significantly more than any other dress I have had tailored (and I have a lot of dresses hemmed as I am short). I called them as I was upset since my dress was not floor length as the rest of the bridesmaids when that was specifically what I asked for. Spoke to Candy who told me she would call me back the next day once she spoke to the tailor. No apology or asking how they could make this right. Just telling me "i measured it correctly" multiple times. 4 days later and I never heard from her, so I went into the store to speak with them, she assured me she would speak to the tailor today and call me back. Again, no apology or care in the world. I did not receive a call all day. I called to speak to her for an update, and another associate informed me she would be calling me tomorrow. I have low hopes for that. I am overall very disappointed. I have used them for dry cleaning in the past without issue but absolutely will not be returning for tailoring of any kind. read more

When I took the jacket back to the tailor for an alteration he asked where I had the jacket cleaned because they ruined it by using too much heat. This was my first and last visit to J's Cleaners. I work nearby and decided to try them. Never again! I have never felt so unwelcome in a business establishment. On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, the young lady working at the counter around 5:30pm (I didn't get her name) refused to clean and press a brand-new outfit for "fear that the colors may bleed." This wasn't a cheap item, and if she knew fabrics, as I tried to explain, she would know that it would not be an issue. After refusal of service, I left, a bit disappointed and puzzled. In retrospect, I'm glad that I took my outfit to my regular dry cleaner (who did a beautiful job). There's no telling what J's Cleaners would have done to my outfit. read more

Great value and service! I've visited this location to drop off dry cleaning for work, and to have an area rug thoroughly cleaned. The dry cleaning, two table cloths, were a great deal at $25/each and were ready to go within three days. Some places I've inquired offered dry cleaning for double the price, so I'm satisfied to say the least. Additionally, my husband and I dropped off an area rug that needed TLC and after a few days, received it back looking brand new. Although I have used this business for dry cleaning and have been satisfied, DO NOT take anything in to be altered! Took three items in. Was quoted $12 each to have two shirts altered and charged $24 each. The person at the front desk refused to honor the original quote, which unfortunately was not in writing. I understand sometimes an amount might be slightly higher, but not double the price. Then, got home and discovered that the pantsuit I had shortened was now ruined because one leg is one inch shorter than the other, making it too short for me now, even if I had it corrected. Included with this order was a men's suit that was satisfactorily dry cleaned for $21 with a simple mend for $8 (a fair price). Total bill was $90. So frustrating. read more

I used this cleaner for the first time last week and the actual cleaning of the clothing was done well, unfortunately I asked that no safety pins be used in my clothing and they promised there wouldn't be. Now two of my items have holes in them and the stores solution was for me to bring them in to be cleaned again, that won't solve the problem. They were nice and the 1st time customer 20% off is cool but not if I pay $26 for a dress to be cleaned and now it has holes in it. FYI discount total was $68 for 11 items. read more

I had 4 days to get my wedding dress cleaned before my wedding. Yes, you read right ladies and gentlemen, FOUR. I called around and received outrageous price quotes and real crappy attitude. However, Susan from J's Cleaners was the only one that was sweet and honest about what she can do. You have to go in and let them evaluate your dress to get a quote. Price depends on the material, dirtiness, and intricacies such as beading, etc. Wedding gown cleaning range from $80-120. Susan worked magic. My dress was flawless and cleaned in three days. Not only was the price fair but absolutely reasonable. I also LOVE that they use organic, non-toxic dry cleaning. I am also using J's Cleaners for my post wedding cleaning as well. UPDATE: Just returned the pants. First of all, this place has great customer service; the owner is great. For some reason, the length of the two new pants and my sample were measured to be the same in length. However, when put side by side, the new ones are longer by an inch... I'm stumped. It's like Levi's selling a 32" length jeans while another company's 32" length jeans measure an inch longer than the Levi's, even though they're both listed at 32" in length. In the end, the shop offered us the Yelp discount upon our return, and they corrected the length also. What a great service. I'm changing this review from 2 stars to 5 and will definitely go back for our cleaner/alteration needs. Lesson: leave the sample with the pants you're looking to alter. FIRST REVIEW: Sorry to add a bad review, but I picked up two pants earlier with alterations done to hem the length. They were both one inch longer than expected when I got home to check; I assumed it was done correctly like the last one I had hemmed which was why I did not check while I was there. The hem costs $12 in case anyone is wondering. Also, when I asked to use the 20% check-in coupon, I was told by the lady this afternoon that I could not use the coupon as the check-in discount does not apply to alterations. The check-in coupon says dry cleaning AND alterations. Did I miss something? For some reason, Yelp was not working on my phone, so I did not bother. I re-checked later to make sure I did not misread the Yelp check-in coupon earlier in the day, and I was right. I got home, tried on the pants and noticed they were too long. This is my favorite dry cleaners. It's right down the street from me and usually have my shirts done the next day.

I wanted my jeans tapered to look like another pair of jeans that I brought in as an example. The lady in the front asked me to leave the other pair so they could use it to know the correct measurement for the job. When I went back to pick up my jeans I realized that not only did they taper my jeans but they also cut it shorter to reflect the same length as the other jeans. I specifically told the lady not to make the legs shorter, but they did anyway. The receipt said tapered, but they went above and beyond even though I did not ask for that. Now I have to buy another pair of jeans. My jeans look like they are folded from the bottom and you can tell they cut the pant legs to make them shorter. The lady that took my pants was not the same one I picked them up from. There was definitely a miscommunication. I asked the lady why she cut them short and she said because the other lady said to make both pants to look the same, even though the receipt only said taper. I paid $24 for a bad job. read more
