I went to pickup my dry cleaning that was supposed to be ready by 5pm and was advised that they were running behind and needed an additional hour. I returned back an hour later and they advised me I could either take my clothes back as is or get a refund but no credit or discount would be provided to compensate for the inconvenience - cannot rely on timely service if you need something done in a timely manner. After returning back four separate times with additional delays I was finally able to retrieve my items and the representative Tony had a poor attitude with very little empathy for my time or money. I won't be returning with such little importance on customer service and satisfaction. read more

Horrible place! They lost my husbands shirt! They didn't even have his other items tagged! The guy said he can refer us to his insurance to file a claim and when we agreed he said well no I'm not going to give it to you now. He said show him the receipt for the shirt, showed him the receipt and he continued to refuse to reimburse us. Refused to give us the money back for what we paid for to wash our shirt. Offered to give us credit to go back to his shop, like why would I go back if you lose things! Horrible service! Don't go here read more

The owner of this company is my hero! I don't know anything about the service but I do know that I will always support a company that is owned by a person who is a good human being. Today I did a little grocery shopping at Smart& final and when I was putting my groceries in my trunk I locked my phone and my keys in my trunk. I went back to Smart& final and asked if I could use their phone. They called AAA for me and wouldn't even allow me more than a few minutes to be on hold so that they could answer their phone. They said sorry that's all we could do... I went next door to this cleaners and the man bent over backwards to help me. You could get your dry cleaning done anywhere. You could get your alterations done anywhere. But I'm a big supporter of helping people that help people. I'm a big supporter of small communities coming together and helping those that are good. This man is beyond a good human being. He not only allowed me to use his phone as many times as I needed, he pulled out his personal tablet and allowed me to search endlessly for the phone numbers that I needed. In this day and age. None of us have phone numbers memorized. At the end of the day I was able to get a locksmith there to unlock my car but if it were not for this altruist I would have spent endless hours wandering around. Hoping for someone to help me. Today. This man is my hero read more

I went here to replace my rubber points on my heels and discovered they no longer service shoes. Heads up.

I've used this business for years and gotten to know several quite well. A small family business they've fit in well. Their work is always timely and presented well. Recently I saw another side. I have a quite new winter coat which a mouse (I can't seem to get rid of him) smelled some dog cookie crumbs in a pocket. He chewed/tore an irregular shaped hole about 2 by 3 inches. I decided to try their repair service before giving up on the coat. 3 days later I picked up the coat and looked to see the repair. I couldn't find it for a long time. My husband repeated my search and agreed. Quality work and for a reasonable price. I'm glad to recommend them. read more

I just called to speak with the owner regarding my grievances. Juan answered and refused to provide me with any information and hung up on me. Mr Chung (owner) if you are reading this, I hope you reach out to me. this is no way anyone should be managing your business. The original owners were so kind and respectful to all their customers. the older coupled worked very hard for so many years and I really enjoyed bringing my garments here knowing they would provide a good quality service. I'm sorry that the quality has declined. read more

Great customer service here. I've had a couple items tailored now with a quick turnaround and reasonable pricing. Most importantly, Juan went above and beyond to double check and make sure my tailored bridesmaid dress was a perfect length before I left with the finished product, which I appreciated - compared to another tailor experience elsewhere and a bridesmaid dress so incorrectly tailored compared to the length I had requested, that I tripped all the way down the aisle, literally! read more

I took my husband's long rain jacket to Juan for cleaning due to a stain. He was recommended to me by a person at a laundromat. Wow! Juan tried everything possible to remove the stain. They ruined my shirt. Twice. I dropped off a white shirt to be cleaned on Saturday for same day service. When I picked it up, there were purple spots on it. I showed them. They said they would fix it and have it ready the next day (Sunday). When I picked it up on Sunday day, there were still spots on it. I showed them the receipt for how much I paid for the shirt ($75.00). And requested the refund to clean my shirt ($15). I should've been refunded $90.00. The owner offers me $50 refund total. He was completely rude and unprofessional about the whole thing. I don't understand how they get mad at me for requesting my money back for the service they didn't do and for the shirt they ruined! They obviously knew they ruined my shirt since he offered $50. But it should've been $90. Do not go to this place. Their service is horrible and customer service is even worse. read more

I took my dog's bed to be cleaned, it's one of those larger round ones and too large for my washer.. Was told it would be no problem, charged $25 told to come back in two days. I went back, bed wasn't dry yet and they said to come back in one more day. I went back and was given the bed in a plastic bag. When I opened the bag at home the bed was not put together, it wasn't even zipped up. I returned to the cleaners and asked them to put it together. I was told it would be another day which would've meant four days. I didn't want to come back another day and was frustrated. When I said going to do a review about my experience, explaining that if I had been able to clean the bed, I would have not brought it to the cleaners and I felt that it was a very incomplete job. The owner returned my $25 and started filming me as I expressed my frustration. read more

It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review. When I dropped off my clothes (2 dresses and 1 blouse dress) Juan looked at each of the pieces (as he always does). He checked to see what they were and if there were any stains. I went to pick them up, and Juan pointed out that the blouse dress had a "stain" on it. "Um... no Juan, that is a hole burnt through my shirt". Then he proceeds to tell me it is my fault and I did it when I was washing and drying it. Excuse me? I said, "no, this was done here". He then goes back and forth with me blaming me that I dropped my blouse off with a hole in it and that they didn't do it. First off, I don't even own an iron. Second, we BOTH checked my clothes upon drop off and that wasn't there. So what are you even saying to me right now... When I said that, he just stared at me. I wasn't about to go back and forth with him because he clearly could not take responsibility for himself nor the team. What is disheartening is Juan was extremely persistent on it being my fault. I definitely would've been super cool about it if he would've said sorry and refunded me for that shirt because accidents happen, but don't play in my face and talk to me like I'm stupid and pretend like we both didn't check my clothes before I dropped them off. I even asked him to check the camera's because he held each piece up. I am expecting for someone to reach out to me about this soon because I will be filing a claim with the BBB. Attached are pictures of the evidence. read more

I dropped off a brand new Saint Laurent polo for dry cleaning and they shrunk my garment. "Tony" (this is what the dry cleaning receipt says under clerk) insisted the garment was small to begin with and stated that he lived in Vegas and that he would take the garment to YSl to measure the dimensions of the shirt. YSL confirmed that the garment was mishandled and that he did not follow the specific dry cleaning directions for the garment. " Tony"/ said employee then started to threaten the YSL workers that he lives in Vegas and that he has social media. This business refuses to replace the value of the shirt or file an insurance claim and instructed me to take him to small claims court. I would AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. THERE IS ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY OR PROFESSIONALISM IN HOW THEY DO BUSINESS. I wish I would have read the reviews before dropping off my valuable clothing at this establishment. read more

I had a delicate knit two piece outfit that I accidentally snagged and made a hole in. I took it in to them and they were able to fix it with minor noticeable stitches. My new favorite dry cleaner! I recently moved back from being away for a few years and was stunned by how expensive dry cleaning has become. My old cleaners is averaging $10/piece. With the new management I decided to give this place another try -Until another occurrence my Rag and Bone black hoodie (not cheap)had been taken there for the second time -well they for some reason decided to take out the hoodie strings which they hadn't done before , after I notice I was annoyed as you can't wear the hoodie without the strings -I went in and told them the situation and all I got was WELL WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT-and said they are not responsible ..that's it his demeanor had changed and I will never visit that place again, no sorry nothing why the hell would they take the strings out never in all my hoodies I get cleaned do they take them out. read more

I changed my review. I will never go back to this place again. They contract out their shoe cleaning and repairs. My $500 dollar boots came back in horrible condition and a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT COLOR! All I wanted was the small SCUFFS buffed out and leather protection to keep them fresh. The owner REFUSED to take care of the matter. He said it's not his responsibility. He would not give me his shoe guys' information so I could deal with him myself, nor reimburse me my huge loss. Please, please, please beware. What really blows my mind is that he owns a very customer service oriented business & there's a ton of them all over the city, but for him, he gave me a real solid shoulder shrug & mumbled can't help you & determined the huge screw up closed! WHAT? REALLY! I'm not done and will continue to blast to keep true LB peeps notified of this place. Please spare yourself. No doubt it will happen again and again. read more

Had a few alterations and repairs. Did a great job and had great costumer service. Will definitely be a repeat costumer.

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SHOE REPAIR. I took my favorite Steve Madden leather shoes in for cleaning and to put new shoelaces on and fix the heels. Counter attendant wasn't sure about how to handle it (I guess they send their shoe repairs to a 3rd party), so she wrote the ticket: "clean shoes, repair heels, replace shoelaces" and she said someone would call me in a day or two. That didn't happen, no one called me then. But two weeks later they called & said my shoes were ready. But they didn't clean my shoes - they said they couldn't. However, they did replace the heels. Like, you're going to do half the job and not tell me? Maybe, if the shoes can't be cleaned, then I DON'T WANT NEW HEELS ON THEM? Maybe I don't want to pay $30 for new heels on dirty shoes that can't be cleaned?!? When I picked up the shoes, the man at the counter today offered only the vaguest of apologies, one mealy-mouthed "sorry," and nothing discounted from the fee for my brand-new heels on my dirty old shoes. Not good enough, Blue Ribbon Cleaners. This is why you get one star. It's not that they did a bad job. The heels look like they're done right. I am upset about the communication: They should have let me know that the shoes couldn't be cleaned first, AND THEN LET ME DECIDE if I wanted to proceed with the repair. Also, they didn't even replace the shoelaces. read more

They always have my stuff clean and ready on pick up day. Never had any issues. Parking is easy Good service Reasonable prices I've been getting my things dry cleaned here for a while now but I never got anything altered till I bought this beautiful dress for my baby shower online and didn't realize how long it was or how short I am. So I needed someone to alter it to my height but was worried for the price I paid for the dress I didn't want anything to happen to it. I came here and the lady took her time to find the best length!! Long story short she did an amazing job and I couldn't be happier read more

I needed my Engagement Party dress hemmed a couple of inches. I was assured it'd be ready before the day of the party, which it was not. I was then told it was ready for pick up on the day of the party. However, it wasn't even hemmed, only a jagged cut. I was so embarrassed at my party because the dress started unraveling at the bottom where it was cut. I had to throw away a brand new, expensive dress. I would never expect to leave a review for a dry cleaners or sewing and alterations business but here it is: I needed an expedited repair, simple repair and I reached out to 5 other businesses off of Yelp. Got quotes and only received 2 call backs. 1 business said no can do, the other said absolutely no problem. Oh, and it's Very affordable too! I am so grateful for the service at Blue Ribbon. I didn't realize it was new owners but it definitely feels like it's gotten a fresh face. Kenny is the owner and he is incredibly kind to his customers. Friendly, family-owned, and quality clean service. They even pressed my dress and I was able to get my dress in time before I needed to wear it. read more

as a first time customer and I highly recommend this business, the customers service was outstanding they took care all of my needs. The attendants were very welcoming an accommodating also very polite and friendly , very helpful and informative with my concern's. They have same day service which I was very impressed by because I couldn't find other places that could do same day service in a urgency, i request it to be ready by a certain time and I got it! also was notified by text witch is very beneficial !!! And they can do Apple Pay or cash or debit which it's very convenient because I forgot my wallet and wasn't carrying any cash. AlsoI was satisfied with my clothes they were very pressed and clean And they informed me if stains were able to be treated before they are proceed and review my clothes beforehand and let me know if my clothes had any tears to see if I was aware. The best part is I their hours are from 7am-6pm and I had to work long hours this week and they were assistive with me and watied a hour for me since I was big of a distance away ! thank you blue ribbon!! They also have a 20% discount :) read more

I once got really drunk and woke up in the middle of the night and decided to iron a shirt in complete darkness and it turned out much better than the shirt I got back from this place. Very wrinkled all around collar with deep creases, took me :20 minutes to steam and iron out myself. Which completely defeats the purpose of paying someone to do it, and was an unexpected surprise when I removed the plastic cover so it made me late for my event. Cherry on top? They couldn't find my shirt the first time I went to pick it up. Waited :15 minutes while they looked for it on every rack in the place. They finally found my matching ticket, but still no shirt. So I had to return another day to pick it up. I rarely post reviews, but this business earned my time to write this. Never again. read more

Took in several jackets and clothing thinking they would be in good hands . Staff is friendly. However, waited more than 3 weeks just to demand my leather jacket back all wrinkled. I had my bridesmaid dress hemmed here last minute because it was too long. Dropped it off Monday and it was ready by Thursday. I paid $28 and David's Bridal was trying to charge me $75, so I saved myself some money. The people working were really nice to me. The stitching is a bit wonky and it would have been nice if they had folded it twice when they did the stitching because you can see where the fabric was cut lol. But TBH it doesn't bug me too much because I'm only going to wear this dress once and you can't really tell. You get what you pay for. read more

Blue Ribbon Cleaners - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Long Beach, California

I dropped off a garment for a simple alteration on a wednesday and was told to come back a week later. When I returned about 9 days later, I was informed that the alteration was still not done, and I can come back monday to pick it up. I was busy the next week and ended up coming back in two weeks later to ensure it would actually be ready by then. Surprisingly, I was informed it was still not finished, and again, to come back on monday when it should be ready. I let them know when I first dropped it off I was not in a rush to have it back, but I didn't realize that meant it would stay at the bottom of the priorities list the entire time. Over 3 weeks and it's still not done? Very disappointing as my friend had recommended this place to me, and by this point I feel like I could have just bought a sewing machine and done the work myself. read more

So I used this place twice now first time was great for my work shirts altered and done on time. Second time around idk if it was due to holidays but it went pass time I was told they would be ready and then was told they will bring my shirts by Monday or Tuesday I go back until Tuesday. And nothing they girl working called the seamstress and told her to have me come back at 6:15-6:30 pm. And they would have my shirts there. So when I get there I pull up to front and I see this guy walking in before me as he passed my truck he's mad dogging me. Lol so I get out of my truck I walk in after him he calls out to his lady who works there and says you have a customer and it's the last one as he's locking the doors behind me. I thought they close the business at 7pm and plus I was told to come back at a certain time to pick up my shirts finally the whole time I'm waiting for the owner to bring my shirt the guy passing back and forth sizing me up as he carry's their personal laundry to car from back. So I felt uncomfortable so I went out of the business and waited in my truck till owner walked up with my shirts. First of all lack of getting my shirts done and then being disrespected by an employee husband/boyfriend and especially him locking the door while it don't close till 7.
