I went to pickup my dry cleaning that was supposed to be ready by 5pm and was advised that they were running behind and needed an additional hour. I returned back an hour later and they advised me I could either take my clothes back as is or get a refund but no credit or discount would be provided to compensate for the inconvenience - cannot rely on timely service if you need something done in a timely manner. After returning back four separate times with additional delays I was finally able to retrieve my items and the representative Tony had a poor attitude with very little empathy for my time or money. I've used this business for years and gotten to know several quite well. A small family business they've fit in well. Their work is always timely and presented well. Recently I saw another side. I have a quite new winter coat which a mouse (I can't seem to get rid of him) smelled some dog cookie crumbs in a pocket. He chewed/tore an irregular shaped hole about 2 by 3 inches. I decided to try their repair service before giving up on the coat. 3 days later I picked up the coat and looked to see the repair. I couldn't find it for a long time. I took my dog's bed to be cleaned, it's one of those larger round ones and too large for my washer.. Was told it would be no problem, charged $25 told to come back in two days. I went back, bed wasn't dry yet and they said to come back in one more day. I went back and was given the bed in a plastic bag. When I opened the bag at home the bed was not put together, it wasn't even zipped up. I returned to the cleaners and asked them to put it together. I was told it would be another day which would've meant four days. I didn't want to come back another day and was frustrated. When I said going to do a review about my experience, explaining that if I had been able to clean the bed, I would have not brought it to the cleaners and I felt that it was a very incomplete job. They ruined my shirt. Twice. I dropped off a white shirt to be cleaned on Saturday for same day service. When I picked it up, there were purple spots on it. I showed them. They said they would fix it and have it ready the next day (Sunday). When I picked it up on Sunday day, there were still spots on it. I showed them the receipt for how much I paid for the shirt ($75.00). And requested the refund to clean my shirt ($15). I should've been refunded $90.00. The owner offers me $50 refund total. He was completely rude and unprofessional about the whole thing. I don't understand how they get mad at me for requesting my money back for the service they didn't do and for the shirt they ruined! They obviously knew they ruined my shirt since he offered $50. But it should've been $90. Do not go to this place. Their service is horrible and customer service is even worse. read more

It is very unfortunate that I have to write this review. When I dropped off my clothes (2 dresses and 1 blouse dress) Juan looked at each of the pieces (as he always does). He checked to see what they were and if there were any stains. I went to pick them up, and Juan pointed out that the blouse dress had a "stain" on it. "Um... no Juan, that is a hole burnt through my shirt". Then he proceeds to tell me it is my fault and I did it when I was washing and drying it. Excuse me? I said, "no, this was done here". He then goes back and forth with me blaming me that I dropped my blouse off with a hole in it and that they didn't do it. First off, I don't even own an iron. Second, we BOTH checked my clothes upon drop off and that wasn't there. So what are you even saying to me right now... When I said that, he just stared at me. I wasn't about to go back and forth with him because he clearly could not take responsibility for himself nor the team. What is disheartening is Juan was extremely persistent on it being my fault. I definitely would've been super cool about it if he would've said sorry and refunded me for that shirt because accidents happen, but don't play in my face and talk to me like I'm stupid and pretend like we both didn't check my clothes before I dropped them off. I even asked him to check the camera's because he held each piece up. I am expecting for someone to reach out to me about this soon because I will be filing a claim with the BBB. I dropped off a brand new Saint Laurent polo for dry cleaning and they shrunk my garment. "Tony" (this is what the dry cleaning receipt says under clerk) insisted the garment was small to begin with and stated that he lived in Vegas and that he would take the garment to YSl to measure the dimensions of the shirt. YSL confirmed that the garment was mishandled and that he did not follow the specific dry cleaning directions for the garment. " Tony"/ said employee then started to threaten the YSL workers that he lives in Vegas and that he has social media. This business refuses to replace the value of the shirt or file an insurance claim and instructed me to take him to small claims court. I would AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. THERE IS ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY OR PROFESSIONALISM IN HOW THEY DO BUSINESS. I wish I would have read the reviews before dropping off my valuable clothing at this establishment. read more

The owner REFUSED to take care of the matter. He said it's not his responsibility. He would not give me his shoe guys' information so I could deal with him myself, nor reimburse me my huge loss. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SHOE REPAIR. I took my favorite Steve Madden leather shoes in for cleaning and to put new shoelaces on and fix the heels. Counter attendant wasn't sure about how to handle it (I guess they send their shoe repairs to a 3rd party), so she wrote the ticket: "clean shoes, repair heels, replace shoelaces" and she said someone would call me in a day or two. That didn't happen, no one called me then. But two weeks later they called & said my shoes were ready. But they didn't clean my shoes - they said they couldn't. However, they did replace the heels. Like, you're going to do half the job and not tell me? Maybe, if the shoes can't be cleaned, then I DON'T WANT NEW HEELS ON THEM? Maybe I don't want to pay $30 for new heels on dirty shoes that can't be cleaned?!? When I picked up the shoes, the man at the counter today offered only the vaguest of apologies, one mealy-mouthed "sorry," and nothing discounted from the fee for my brand-new heels on my dirty old shoes. Not good enough, Blue Ribbon Cleaners. This is why you get one star. It's not that they did a bad job. The heels look like they're done right. I am upset about the communication: They should have let me know that the shoes couldn't be cleaned first, AND THEN LET ME DECIDE if I wanted to proceed with the repair. The attendants were very welcoming an accommodating also very polite and friendly , very helpful and informative with my concern's. They have same day service which I was very impressed by because I couldn't find other places that could do same day service in a urgency, i request it to be ready by a certain time and I got it! also was notified by text witch is very beneficial !!! And they can do Apple Pay or cash or debit which it's very convenient because I forgot my wallet and wasn't carrying any cash. I once got really drunk and woke up in the middle of the night and decided to iron a shirt in complete darkness and it turned out much better than the shirt I got back from this place. Very wrinkled all around collar with deep creases, took me :20 minutes to steam and iron out myself. Which completely defeats the purpose of paying someone to do it, and was an unexpected surprise when I removed the plastic cover so it made me late for my event. Cherry on top? They couldn't find my shirt the first time I went to pick it up. Waited :15 minutes while they looked for it on every rack in the place. They finally found my matching ticket, but still no shirt. I had my bridesmaid dress hemmed here last minute because it was too long. Dropped it off Monday and it was ready by Thursday. I paid $28 and David's Bridal was trying to charge me $75, so I saved myself some money. The people working were really nice to me. The stitching is a bit wonky and it would have been nice if they had folded it twice when they did the stitching because you can see where the fabric was cut lol. But TBH it doesn't bug me too much because I'm only going to wear this dress once and you can't really tell. You get what you pay for. read more

When I returned about 9 days later, I was informed that the alteration was still not done, and I can come back monday to pick it up. I was busy the next week and ended up coming back in two weeks later to ensure it would actually be ready by then. Surprisingly, I was informed it was still not finished, and again, to come back on monday when it should be ready. I let them know when I first dropped it off I was not in a rush to have it back, but I didn't realize that meant it would stay at the bottom of the priorities list the entire time. I thought they close the business at 7pm and plus I was told to come back at a certain time to pick up my shirts finally the whole time I'm waiting for the owner to bring my shirt the guy passing back and forth sizing me up as he carry's their personal laundry to car from back. So I felt uncomfortable so I went out of the business and waited in my truck till owner walked up with my shirts. First of all lack of getting my shirts done and then being disrespected by an employee husband/boyfriend and especially him locking the door while it don't close till 7. I use to go to Betty Brights off Broadway but moved down the street walking distance from this dry cleaners so I decided to try them out bc why not. Paid about $5-6 per shirt at Betty brights compared to the $3.95 for the same exact shirts at Blue Ribbon. I'm a 23 year old full time student at csulb working damn near full time at a restaurant and sports bar, I need every penny I can get and when I take in 5-10 shirts that price makes a big difference for me. Also, why pay for more for the same quality service you can get elsewhere? Yongjin, the owner, is an absolute homie and takes the time to go through everything with you explaining what it is he has to do and why it cost X amount- as I recently came back with some rather expensive jackets that had leather and other specialty material that cost a bit more but end of the day absolutely worth it.
