What a lovely location! I stopped to get it too good to go box. I've never chance in on this one before because there they are snapped up very quickly. It is adorable inside with cute little mismatched tables and chairs and a bakery front and some fun different stripes of wallpaper on the walls. What a fun little location. In the too good to go box, there were four different cupcakes, salted caramel wedding cake and a couple others that I'm not sure of yet but I also decided to purchase a lemon zinger which is lemon and blueberry. What a great option because I love anything lemon will definitely be back. Customer service was impeccable

I had never been to this place until here recently when I seen them on the TooGoodToGo app. Yes I have seen this store due to me always shopping or eating in the area but hadn't really ever stopped here. When I seen the app had a surprise cupcake box for this place I knew I just had to try them. The surprise box was a reasonable price for all that you got. You got 4 big cupcakes for $7 which is not bad at all. The cupcakes are a surprise so you don't know what you will get but it allows you to try different things. Even looking in the store their prices aren't bad at all. The workers have been great both times I went in there. They have answered any questions I have. The atmosphere in the shop is great from the decor to the great customer service. I love how there is a small seating area so you could stay in there to enjoy your cupcake and enjoy the atmosphere. The flavors of the cupcakes do change each week and they have monthly flavors. If you are looking for a good cupcake place with nice moist and flavorful cupcakes than look no further you will find them here.

Tasted like baking soda

If I could give less than one star I would. I paid $70 for a dozen cupcakes that essentially were inedible. My guests spit them out in the trash. The chocolate one tasted like baking power. The air pockets in all of them was crazy and some broke apart like clumps of dry dirt. But the are "baked" daily. Kate the claimed attorney and owner called me back to inquire about my complaint but instead of listening to my feedback, I was yelled at called names, told that my conversation was recorded without being notified, and I ended up having to hang up on her, because the conversation was not conducive to any resolution. kt did offer me vouchers, but I declined as in. I would not even make the trip to this horrible establishment. I would not waste your time here. I'm all about supporting local businesses however, the way that I was treated I wouldn't even eat one of these if it was given to me free. The woman at the counter that helped me on my initial visit was very sweet, so I guess that's worth one star I took videos of how dry and disgusting these cupcakes were. I hope someone takes the time to read this and won't waste their time or support the vial woman that practices law all while "baking" daily. Just sad

Bart Simpson cupcake

I volunteered to go shopping with my wife at a nearby store just to go afterwards to the flying cupcake. These are awesome cupcakes. The sheer variety of crazy combinations means you can always try something new. I got the Bart Simpson. It was chocolate cupcake with pb cream cheese frosting and butterfinger on top. It is excellent. I usually toss frosting as it is too sweet and I don't like it. Not with this cupcake. It was the perfect balance. Also the size is good as you can get a large one and feel full from eating it. I highly recommend the flying cupcake.

I love Flying Cupcake! The Red Velvet Elvis is a staple and so good. Usually I'm never dissatisfied with their many options of cupcakes but this time around i didn't care for the espresso/tiramisu cupcake or the pineapple cupcake. Something missed the mark on former and the latter didn't taste good at all. However because the Red Velvet was so good it still made up for it. I was tickled with how they were doing contactless service and thought it was ingenious. I don't want to spill how they do it so that if you go you can see it for yourself. The only thing is it was really hard to see the cupcakes description; either the font needs to be bigger or a menu available at the front desk to read through.

Must try Salted Caramel Brownie Batter

I lived in Indy for two years. I tell everyone Flying Cupcake was my best friend. This location has extremely friendly staff. Everyday cupcake flavors are listed on the Facebook page, you also have the option to call. After I became a regular so of the employees would call me to let me know the Lemon Vegan cupcake was in stock. I LOVE the lemon vegan cupcakes and I'm not vegan. Also, the bakery has a selection of cookies, cookie dough and brownie batter. Try the brownie batter, it will surprise you. It is very good. Oh and the birthday cake cookie dough is pretty addictive. Flying Cupcake offers reward points for every purchase. Sadly, COVID hit before I was able to use my points. I'm super bummed I wasn't able to say goodbye to this bakery prior to my departure. This bakery always brought a smile to my face during a difficult two years. I'm rooting for this bakery to have an amazing rebound after Covid. Although I won't be there in person, I'll be on Etsy buying whatever I can. This place is great. It is a must try!

I would say for Indy; this is one of the better cupcake shops. Although their prices are high (+$4) for 'jumbo' cupcake they are good. The right amount of icing and not overly sweet. Came in around 1 hour to close and there w was still many options. I wouldn't getting these all the time as the price is still high for a single cupcake. They don't offer discounts until you purchase a dozen. In addition there are no military/student/senior discounts.

It's race weekend in Indy, so of course I got a race weekend cupcake. It was delicious as always, the chocolate caramel remains my favorite though. Staff was quick and polite. Best cupcakes in Indy

Gluten free almond cupcake

I've had cupcakes from here a few times, but this was my first time actually going to the bakery. There are a couple different locations. The worker was really friendly and helpful here. They have gluten free options which are stored separately from the rest of the cupcakes to avoid cross contamination. There were about 3 different gluten free flavors to choose from as well as a couple vegan options. The case displayed about a dozen different options for the "regular" cupcakes. I got a peanut butter bomb for my husband. The pina colada one looked really good, too! Overall good experience here with both the service and the cupcakes themselves!

Confetti cake and Pretty in Pink.

This is always a staple favorite to get cupcakes and it's always so hard choosing which yummy flavor to choose from!! My favorites are Pretty in Pink and Koo Koo for Coconuts. I went in today just a little after they opened expecting some fresh and moist cupcakes and unfortunately they were dry and crumbly. Normally the cupcakes are fine and I'm just hoping this was a one off. I'd definitely come back though!

I frequent this place more than I should. The Peanut Butter Blackout is a guilty pleasure of mine. PEANUT BUTTER LOVERS BEWARE it's ADDICTING! All of the cupcakes are amazing and moist. Which makes me love this place even more! Working in the pharma industry I frequently bring sweet treats to offices and this place never disappoints! If you are looking for a sweet treat for you or your pup! The flying cupcake should be a regular!

My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

Yes, these are quite a bit pricer that's for sure. People were buying one of everything in line. I was like wow! Some Items the combinations of flavors didn't appeal to me. I love tiramisu and pecan pie so I got them both. One suggestion I would have is to have utensils and napkins at the table for people to use. The pastries I bought are really temperature sensitive and need to be kept cold. Both had a cream - mousse inside. They wouldn't last long only a day or to the next. I loved the pecan item I ordered. It was great! The tiramisu one I wouldn't order again. The bottom flakey part was so bitter. I love coffee and expresso and tiramisu. But, the whole thing just wasn't what I thought it would taste like. Now I know. :-( Creamy, sweet, smooth, with a kick of coffee all come together to make a great tiramisu. This is what most people love about it. I don't know if they are planning on opening a store or not. The pop ups are doing well it seems. I will try other items whenever I can get to one of the pop ups.

What went from ordering 1 pastry each turned into 8 total.. and we regret nothing. The Tiramisu Danish was exactly as I had hoped for! The bitter taste of espresso paired with the sweet mascarpone cream filling reminded me of the holidays when I would watch my mom make tiramisu for our family. While a lot of people prefer a sweeter espresso, I thought this was perfect and very true to a traditional tiramisu taste The Pear Kouglof reminded me of a fresh yeast donut that's been tossed in sugar This was a very kid-friendly pastry in taste and while I wasn't too blown away by it, it did make me wonder if I would have preferred it with a stronger, more potent, fruit. The Cherry Basque Cheesecake -- this pastry was the house favorite. The texture of this cheesecake was creamy, but somehow still spongey.. cakey, but more like pudding. Mix that with the juiciest sour cherries and the crunch of a biscoff crust.. mind blown was an understatement. We're looking forward to what Beurre Sec has planned for their next pop-up

I've driven by the Bakery, so many times and wanted to stop, but I was always in a hurry. My sister and I went in and we each got a dessert and because it was four in the afternoon, we got decaffeinated coffee. The refills were free and we sat at the little counter like we were at a diner and enjoyed everything about this iconic little bakery. The decor is a eclectic. We just took our time and looked around and laughed at so many signs and odd little things that were placed over the years. On the way to the ladies room, you will find out that the gentleman that started the restaurant fought in one of the world wars, and you will see his worn out shoes, his uniforms, his letters of accommodation and Learn his story. Now let's get to the desserts. We shared some type of a wonderful lemon pastry and a black forest cake. Best black forest cake I've ever had. Savored every bite. We were able to buy the last of the springle's that they had made from Christmas. FYI, if you don't like black licorice don't buy Springerle's but you can only get them at Christmas because it's a German tradition and they won't work in the summertime because of the humidity. Things that I learned that day. We saw that they had a dinner menu with a huge variety of different bratwurst and assorted sausages that we would like to try sometime.
