It's nice to have another fresh food option among all the burger chains in the valley. Four of us had lunch and we all ordered something different. I chose the salmon on the "forbidden rice" bowl. It was an excellent combo of veggies, black rice, and the fish. Their sides are upscale and very tasty. I've had the brussels sprouts and butternut squash. Love the heirloom carrots, but wish they came with more of the delicious sauce. Everyone in my group liked their choices and said they would definitely return. The only downside is that Flower Child does not have sodas, just teas and lemonades. One problem is the line to order. We arrived shortly after they opened and the line was long because you order before you sit down. Since Flower Child has such a different and full menu, people were waiting until it was their turn to order to look over the menu and try to make a decision. The lobby is very short, so the line was outside. I can't imagine people are going to be willing to wait when it's a hot day or raining, especially since there is no cover for shade or protection from the elements. A restaurant employee was shyly asking people in line if they wanted a menu. Most said no. The employee really needed to tell the people, in a nice way, to take a menu and explain that they might want to make a choice before reaching the cash register. read more

My daughter likes this place. It's okay but seems expensive for what it is. I am not a fan of waiting in line and ordering and paying like it is a higher end restaurant. I do enjoy most of the food and it is on the healthier side. Always busy too! read more

I was SOOOOOO excited to bring my Wife and my mom here to have some great vegan food. But man was this a HUGE disappointment. You come to a place like this for the atmosphere, good service and most of all good food. Although atmosphere and flavors were definitely on point the service is what definitely did it for us... Granted it is a busy Friday night yet that is no excuse for such poor service and dealing with management. Once we ordered and got seated, we waited patiently as they brought out our appetizer (Avocado Hummus, delish btw). Not too long after they proceed to bring us another hummus we did not order. They forgot to bring us our soups as well. We asked different servers several times about our food and whats taking so long. And nothing was really conveyed to us as to what was taking so long. We ordered at 6 pm and didn't receive our food for over an HOUR of waiting..... in the meantime several tables that ordered after us got served and even left before us. 7:08 we finally received our food ($96 worth). Once we received our food my wife's Salmon, Mac n Cheese and Carrots were cold (go figure, after sitting for over an hour) as well were mine but I was waiting so long I didn't care anymore and just wanted to eat. I NEVER write any reviews for ANYTHING but I took my time to write this one just because how GOD AWFUL the service and wait times were. So that'll tell you something...... It'll definitely be a while before I ever come back again (which I'm sure is no skin off their backs). Got no apologies or empathy from management to make our experience better. We were at Home Goods and we saw this far out looking restaurant and couldn't wait to try it, so we were greeted by Lauren M. She was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu, she helped us pick out some delicious food we had the turkey and avocado wrap and my wife the yakisoba, we were so impressed not only was the food very tasty and so fresh, the atmosphere was great so upbeat very enjoyable, Lauren told me that the Culinary Dropout was a sister company with this place.I was excited extra because my son Josh Dodge was the Executive sous Chef there , and can't wait to tell him our experience here..so great, can't wait to spread the word.... This place is pretty new, and it's nice inside / out. You order and pay at the counter when walking in. Place was packed on a Saturday at lunch. Menu is for the health conscious, which is good with me, but I did have some trouble finding something I was into. We had 4 adults and 2 young kids. I had the chicken enchiladas, & my wife had a Thai-Dye tofu wrap. Neither of us enjoyed our food. I didn't expect the enchiladas to be Mexican restaurant style or taste, but they just didn't have good flavors for me. Thought it was weird (tough to explain). Ate them because I was hungry, reluctantly. Bummer especially because someone recommended them. Wife's wrap had a single piece of tofu and she didn't enjoy the flavor. She ate the toppings, as she was starving. $23.45 wasted on those two dishes. My mom enjoyed her Turkey Cobb salad, & my dad liked the rebel wrap enough, maybe. I didn't understand the hype at all. Same with the cheese and chips. Super small/tiny for the cost. Can't bypass the tip and you're not served other than someone bringing you your food you stood in line to order. Which, is their job. Overall, over priced and not worth it. Money better spent at other local establishments. If your ok paying $50 for 2 salads, this is your place. read more

I've been here before and it was delicious. Came back a second time with my husband, ordered the same meal. It came out ice cold and I soon discovered hair in it. You can see the cooks. They all have facial hair uncovered. They should have to wear something covering their beard. Ruined my meal. Love the food but just had a negative customer service experience. I walked in to place a takeout order and they said I could wait in my car at curbside section since there's really no place to sit and wait. So I'm sitting there waiting in my car for 25 minutes...decided to go in and check and the order is just sitting there at the back of the to go area. It had obviously been there a while. Swung by to grab something to go. Had placed order & paid online plus tip. When arrived I couldn't get anyone in the online ordering section to stop long enough to hand me my order which was sitting on counter. Finally got someone's attention & they handed it to me. Ordered the zucchini "bolognese". It is inedible. First off so over seasoned with chili flakes. Then it is just this gloppy mess. Very unappetizing. Be forewarned, order something else. I paid almost $30 and can't eat my meal. I also ordered the hummus and a bottle of water. That was all fine. PS. I feel I must change review in light of how original one was handled. Came here because it was very busy, thought it would be really good. We didn't believe the food was worth 80 dollars. If you're not vegan, know that it all tastes a bit off. The rebel wrap tasted not that great, same with the Mac and cheese. They messed up my order, then personally gave me terrible Mac and cheese, that had hair in it. Which was sad. It's good food but pricey for a salad and a drink. Plus, you have to wait on long lines to order (outside in the heat and cold), watch everyone ahead of you take forever to study the menu and then wait for a table. And the tables are so close together. I got salad, soup and a soda and that was almost $30 with tax and tip. I would not mind spending that much if you did not have to spend so much time standing and waiting to order. It's like being at a hot dog stand but your spending upscale restaurant pricing. If someone suggests going here, I usually suggest a place like Pita Jungle, where you get service along with good food and you're not standing around for half of your dining experience. read more

I ordered on Doordash. I got the Mother Earth bowl with steak. I am not a health food person. Normally, when a place says it is healthy, I kind of cringe. I am trying to eat healthier so I chose to order from Flower Child. OMG. The bowl is better than any "unhealthy" food I have had in a long time. The steak was cooked medium and was juicy and tender. The veggies were fresh and the sauce or whatever they use...or the combination of grains and cucumber was a flavor explosion. Every bite was amazing and a bit different from the last since each bite is a different mixture of all the yummies they put in there. Some bites were sweet from the sweet potatoes but some were tart from the Mediterranean veggies and grains. You get a lot of food for the price, too. I had leftovers and they were bomb the next morning. I just added and egg and put it all in a wrap. Two meals out of one and I will definitely be going back. I am more of a punk, but this place brought out my inner flower child. Peace & Love, man. read more
