New to Boulder I went here because I heard many good things about their clean food.. I experienced it as very hip, Very very expensive, and not actually so clean. At their prices they really need to deliver at the top of the organic and quality food chain....(even the deliberate glistening and colored appearance of their shrimp was very disturbing) TI must be for people who don't usually eat clean to get the experience..If you do eat a lot of greens, you will find their multi-diner salads to be WAY too small. read more

Ah..mazing. Exactly what I needed for my birthday lunch. Healthy, light, flavorful and a gorgeous atmosphere. Strawberry watermelon coconut water hydration was a perfect start on a hot summer day. Came here when I was stopping in Boulder on my way to Denver and I was super surprised at how much I loved this place. I came here for lunch on a Sunday and you can definitely see how popular this was place was because it was PACKED. I waited about 15 min on line to order at the counter and opted to sit at a table. If you sit at a table you do get table service. I ordered a plate with the chili glazed sweet potatoes, spicy eggplant, and roasted cauliflower. All of the veggies were divine. I was super full afterwards and I really loved each component of the plate. They each packed a punch of flavor in different ways and were all cooked perfectly. read more

First time in Colorado and decided to look up a couple spots to dine at. Stopped by and grabbed a bite to eat I had a steak entree with a side of gluten Mac n cheese, and broccoli. They had to make my dish 3 times because everytime they brought my food it was freezing cold, my girlfriend however got the glam bowl and that was insanely good. Paid 44$ for some cold food also the rose lemonade was just regular lemonade a finess. I enjoyed the glam bowl tho that was insanely good! read more

Awesome enough to make me write this review for their roast beef wrap w/zingy horseradish and carmelized onions, large Mac and cheese...Mac was so simple, but those cheeses, so sharp and so good. Wife's salad, 8 stars she said, only because it needed more dressing (next time, we'll order 2 dressings). And we both devoured those chocolate chip cookies -perfect version of Tate's gf cookies, but chewier. Raving fans for life, now. Like being at your friend's place. All fresh and as local as possible. My mom ate at the Dallas location and raved about it, so I have been wanting to try Flower Child for a while. My boyfriend and I met up with a friend who lives in Boulder who had never heard of it. We loved the decor and the vibe and had a hard time deciding what to order because everything on the menu sounded delicious. I got the Shrimp & Avocado Teriyaki Bowl which had lots of great veggies in it and I liked the teriyaki sauce because it wasn't too sweet. My boyfriend got the chicken entree with broccoli (perfectly charred and so tasty) and sweet potatoes which had a delicious red chili glaze We also ordered the Brussels & Squash salad... YUM! It was so fresh and had the perfect amount of dressing. Flower Child is my new healthy obsession, can't wait until the Denver location opens! read more

We went here for the first time last weekend, and the food was exceptional for fast casual! Being on Whole30, it's hard to eat out... (like really hard unless you don't mind being "that guy" and giving the restaurant the grand inquisition.) This place, though, was transparent about ingredients, nutrition facts, and had a ton of clean options! Also, the food was outstanding. I had a chopped salad sans the cheesy dressing (swapped for the GF, sugar free avocado one), and then I added some steak. It was tasty, fast, and easy. I'll definitely be back! read more

But there's definitely so much variety and so many options here, there's something for everyone. I've tried a wrap, a salad and I believe one of their bowls. They have wine, tea, kombucha. Wow! I had a Turkey avo cobb (with avo ceaser dressing?) and wow! The best salads to me start with crisp fresh lettuces and this definitely had that. Not a single brown or soggy piece to be found. Next is meat without any gross parts to it and I have that as well. Then fresh crisp veggies and some sort of crunchy element and a delicious dressing... This had all of that and more. This is a very hit and miss place for me. The last time I was there, the food was barely edible.

Everything from Flower Child has impressed me so far, though I tend to go back to ordering the same thing - the Mother Earth bowl. I love everything about this bowl, and have ordered with tofu, salmon and shrimp in the past which have all been great. There's always plenty of parking, and service is generally quick. Thus is a very "California style" restaurant... order at the counter; they give you a number and deliver your food. Selections are varied with a lot of healthy selections including gluten free as well as steak & potatoes. We shared avocado toast that looked as good as it tasted with perfectly cooked eggs. I had the Thai curry soup.. perfect for a cold day and friend had a one of their very fresh salads. They have an iced tea bar ( as well as serving beer & wine) that includes a detox beverage. As I was sampling it , a woman next to me said " if you're having a glass of that make sure that you are home all afternoon ". I appreciated the warning as just the small amount I tasted definitely did its job. Lots of folks were picking up takeout... there's two short term parking spots in front. The shrimp teriyaki bowl was super underwhelming the only parts I liked were the shrimp mushrooms and avocado mind you I love all the items in the bowl but the veggies weren't seasoned at all and tasted like they came from the microwave. The Brussel sprouts were inedible this is the waste I left and I feel bad but I could have made a better meal for less at home. I had the Thai Dye Wrap and the Corn and Quinoa salad. The wrap was delightful, great plant based/ veg option, all the textures and flavors complimented each other very well. On the other hand...who ever put the corn and quinoa side option on the menu seriously needs to consider a change in career. There was no recognizable seasoning and the binder was greek yogurt. I would really like to meet the person who decided that lightly seasoned quinoa, boiled corn and greek yogurt mixed together was a good idea. This however was the only bad experience I've ever had there, I have enjoyed every other thing i've eaten and would highly recommend flower child to anyone as a healthy/vegetarian option for a place to eat! read more

3.5 stars.. Clean, colorful, and bright environment... First time dining here earlier this week. The person I ordered from tried to be helpful but wasn't.. I should have read some of the prior Yelp reviews for ordering advice. I ended up ordering a salad with salmon added.. I also ordered a drink.. The total was over 20 dollars.. Way beyond my budget unfortunately.. The salad alone was around 8 dollars.. How could the price go up so much just by adding salmon and a cold drink? So she took off the cold drink the total went down to a bit over 17 dollars. Still expensive in comparison to other similar restaurants. But I was super hungry so I stayed.. The salad was a generous portion and tasty.. I liked it.. There is a free decanter of lemony-rosy water by the entrance.. That was good with the meal. I see from other reviews here that there are more affordable ways to order a full meal so I will try that next time. Really liked the decor here and have recommended it to my daughter for her weekly meals out with my son and ex husband.. They have a bit more restaurant budget than I do so perhaps they can more fully immerse themselves in the Flower Child experience. read more

I thought this place would be my new favorite lunch spot in boulder. It was my second visit. I ordered the strawberry fields salad because arugula is my favorite green, and this salad advertised an arugula base. It took about 15 minutes for my salad to arrive (it was not busy. No line at all when I ordered.) The salad was about 90% romaine lettuce, incredibly disappointing. You can see about 3 quartered strawberries in the salad, I could find about 4 more after digging around all the romaine. I would much rather have been told upfront that they were out of/or low on arugula than to be served something that I did not order. Or at the very least is falsely advertised. Side note, the iced tea was delicious, but $3.50 for it seems a bit pricey. Sadly, I don't plan to return. (Ps-I've always been paranoid about sending food back, which is why I didn't when this happened yesterday, May 13th.) read more
