Just yum! Chili glazed sweet potatoes and sweet corn quinoa with steak. And a bottle of Triple Berry sangria! It was so easy to order online and 15 minutes later my order was sitting on the To-Go shelf by the front door of the restaurant. It turns out they do have a few parking spaces in front with 15 minute To-Go parking and even a sign with a number for curbside pickup apparently. But going inside was much easier, and since it was a Friday night I actually had parked in the garage. Surprising the food wasn't still hot when I got home 5 minutes later, but I just zapped it in the microwave really fast. But I bet if they had kept it in the back under a heat lamp, it would have stayed hotter. The chili glazed sweet potatoes and the sweet corn quinoa were delicious and the steak was nicely seasoned and tasty after reheating it.
I met up with friends and we decided to eat here. It did not disappoint! There are so many vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. The service was really great! Since it was my first time here, I asked for recommendations and they did not disappoint. I got the chicken entree with sweet potatoes and broccoli as my sides. I had rose petal lemonade and it was really good. Everything was so good and I will definitely be back to try other things. I like the fact that there are spaces inside and outside. The decor matches the name. Everything is so nice!
Healthy and tasty food made with clean ingredients. I usually get the Mother Earth bowl and devour it. Also tried the falafel wrap and Thai coconut curry. The wrap was well made, served with a side salad. The Thai curry was good too but had a lot more veggies (and pineapple!) than usually expected. It was also a little spicy for my taste. This particular location has a huge indoor seating area and shaded patio. It's a beautifully decorated and welcoming space. Your order at the counter and food is brought to the table fairly quickly.
It's been so long since I've been to Flower Child. My cousin was visiting from out of town. She is Gluten Free. When I suggested a bunch of places in The Domain, Flower Child was one of the ones I mentioned. After she did some research on the suggestions, she thought Flower Child would have a larger selection of possibilities. We placed our orders, got a number for our table, which we sat outside because it was just a gorgeous Sunday. The outside patio is covered and we were in the shade. But still very comfortable. Server came out with our dishes. Everything was beautiful, clean ingredients and fresh looking. I did get a Brussels sprouts and kale salad. I also added chicken to it. Salad was lacking with Brussels sprouts. But all in all, was very nice. We did sit for a while and talked, and caught up on family stuff.
Lovely spot in the domain. My mother and I visited for lunch on a Friday recently and loved the wide variety of healthy options. Their outdoor covered patio is lovely with lots of flowers in their planters and in small vases at each table. It was the perfect amount for lunch. I also enjoyed their iced tea options! Very yummy.
Very nice cute eatery with indoor and outdoor seating. Very friendly staff and a pretty selective menu. All healthy eating! Food was served timely and with a good temperature. Very clean establishment. Noise level was low. The food was actually really tasty and you get nice size portions. Definitely worth visiting when in the domain.
Are you a creature of habit? Do you check your physical mail box every day? Do you read all email messages as soon as fly into your inbox? Do you sleep on the same side of the bed every night? Do you drive to familiar points of interest the same way each time? Do you wear 20% of your clothing 80% of the time? Do you eat mostly the same foods? Well, I am a creature of habit especially when it comes to food. There are certain restaurants I get the same each time. Flower Child is one of those restaurants. Every time I dine at Flower Child I get the Mother Earth Bowl (Ancient grains, sweet potato, Portobello mushroom with grilled onions, avocado, cucumber, broccoli pesto. leafy greens, hemp seeds and red pepper miso vinaigrette) especially when I am having a plant-based food day. I love the combination of textures and flavors...an explosion of goodness in your mouth. Today, I was living on the jagged edge of life and also ordered the kale salad (say it isn't so!). Both menu items were excellent. My cashier rang me up lightning fast! Another server came over to me to see if I needed anything. I said I could use some more avocado. She brought over more avocado pretty quickly without charging me an additional fee. This was much appreciated. I also order a tea. Flower Child serves Passion Fruit black tea, Rose Petal lemonade and Mango Sencha green tea. My first selection of tea was the black tea. The second cup of tea was a combination of the green tea and the lemonade. All were excellent. It was quite busy at Flower Child a the time. Virtually every table inside was completely filled.
My coworker and I ordered some delicious entrees for delivery and really enjoyed them! He chose the chicken plate with steamed brown rice and roasted broccoli, while I went with the salmon plate paired with cauliflower risotto and roasted vegetables drizzled with olive oil. The cauliflower risotto was absolutely amazing -- it tasted like dairy, but it's actually made with coconut, which made it even more special! My partner loved his meal and is excited to try different variations. I truly believe that eating happiness is possible here, and this restaurant makes it easy to do just that.
Food is a bit expensive but it's tasty. I had the beef, potatoes, and macaroni. We came late on the evening and it was pretty empty. I would eat here again. 8/10 Grain Bowls
I went to Flower Child for lunch today at the Domaine . As usual, it was fabulous. The people who work there are also so kind. The food is so scrumptious and tasty and healthy. They have flavored teas that have no sugar in them and they are so so good. With this restaurant, you placed your order at the front and you sit down with a number and then they serve your food. When you place your order, the people you give your order to know the answers to what's in the food. That is so helpful. I got a chicken breast with vegetables cooked in olive oil and fresh fruit and hummus with fresh vegetables. It was so good. The prices are a little high, the chicken breast with vegetables and fruit was $15.95 and the serving size was small. I'm a small person so it was perfect for me but definitely not enough for a man. My husband got shrimp and two servings of fruit. Again tasty but small portions and it was $16.95. I feel that the hummus was adequate in size and it was really good. But they charge you $3.25 extra if you get it with vegetables instead of hummus, so the hummus plate was $10. The lunch for two people was just under $60 so that's a little bit expensive for lunch. The restaurant was beautiful and clean and the mood was so upbeat and positive. I highly recommend this restaurant and I can't wait to be back!
First time visiting Flower Child, and I came in excited to try something new from their plant-based menu. My wife ordered one dish while I chose a few different items, including the roasted Brussels sprouts, cauliflower risotto, and the kung pao cauliflower with tofu protein. Everything arrived beautifully presented and full of color, which already set a great first impression. The restaurant itself has a cozy, welcoming vibe with a warm interior that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your meal. Flavor-wise, the food was solid and satisfying, and we genuinely enjoyed having so many vegetable-forward options for lunch. The cauliflower dishes stood out with good texture and seasoning, and nothing felt overly heavy. Prices were reasonable for the quality and ingredients, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and a nice spot for a light, plant-based meal in a relaxed setting for casual daytime dining.
It's been a minute since I've dined to Flower Child and this visit was better than my last. I gravitated to my usual pick your protein and 2 sides option. I ordered the steak with the kung pow cauliflower and chilled sesame noodles. The steak was cooked perfectly. The sesame noodles was really refreshing for this summer weather and the cauliflower had nice Asian flavors with a kick of heat from the jalapeños. I do appreciate how flower child rotates some of their sides and some that remain staples on their menu. But I wish they would add more options for their staple side dishes!
Always a nice place to get some pretty healthy food. I've ordered several different options from the menu and have never been disappointed. The flavors are incredible and quite filling although it seems like you are eating a lot. This time I ordered the Peruvian Braised Beef. The meat was tender and basically fell apart on your fork. The rice and veggies mixed in the serving added to a great tasting lunch/dinner. The service is nice starting with the cashiers, followed by the quick preparation, on to the server arriving at your table with your order. Flower Child has both indoor and outdoor seating. The furniture is comfortable. Flower Child is clean and laid out well. Although the parking on the street is limited the Blue Garage across the street has plenty of free parking!
Reviews are largely positive. People praise the healthy and fresh food, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly, efficient staff.

Hi Lane!…
I came back from a long day's hike at Lost Maples and was starving for some veggie-forward food. Flower Child totally hit the spot (and there are options for everyone: vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, fish, meat, etc.) I was torn between the "Forbidden" Rice and the vegan massaman curry, so... I got greedy and ordered both. I combined the two and it was absolutely phenomenal. Plus, I had enough leftover for the next day's lunch. The rice included delicious snap peas, bok choy, broccoli, carrots, and a delicious red chili hoisin sauce. I put some of the rice in the sweet and spicy curry. I loved that the curry had toasted cashew in it. It definitely lended a nice texture to the meal. The restaurant itself was practicing safe social distancing. Everyone was wearing a mask, and I enjoyed being able to sit on the outdoor patio. I saw that the menu offers "family pack" options, so this would be a great place to order a bunch of things and skip meal prepping for the week. So glad I found Flower Child! I'll definitely be back. read more

I love this place! This was my second time here and I would totally be a regular if I lived near one. I'm a sucker for a healthy bowl place, particularly when I'm traveling and trying to eat more vegetables. 4/5 Thai Chicken Curry - Daily Soup ($6.5) - This soup was on the saltier side, but still delicious. There wasn't a ton of chicken in it so it was mostly broth (I was expecting something creamier) 4.5/5 Glow Bowl ($10.95) - Super flavorful, and I did actually find it quite hearty/filling even though I didn't add a protein. I didn't realize that the sweet potato noodles would be literally made of sweet potatoes. read more

One of the drawbacks of shopping at the Domain for me has always been the lack of affordable, healthy restaurant choices. So I was super happy to find Flower Child. Their extensive menu leans toward Mediterranean and includes a variety of bowls and wraps and plates, heavy on the veggies and including choices of vegetarian, turkey, and shrimp. It's posted outside and over the counter where you order, but I'm also including a photo here to make decisions easier. Portions are decent but not huge, so it's about right for lunch. They have a large, pleasant indoor dining area and a covered patio, so it's usually easy to find a table. You order and pay at the counter, get a number, pick up your utensils etc at the counter at the back, and choose a table. They'll bring you your order. The restrooms are clean, but the tables have not always been. Most people bus their own tables, so they may be behind on wiping them down. Parking is available free in the nearby garages, and since most people are here to shop, that's likely where you'll want to park anyway. read more

I came here for lunch on Friday. I ordered the rebel wrap and a pumpkin muffin. I was blown away by how good my wrap was. It comes with grilled steak, charred onion, port salut cheese, arugula, and horseradish yogurt. There is so much flavor packed into this wrap. The pumpkin muffin was really moist and tasty too. Service is fast; my food was ready in 10 minutes. Flower Child is definitely a new favorite spot for lunch in the Domain! read more

I love Flower Child...I really do. I love getting the Mother Earth bowl! My favorite combination is with salmon or salmon and shrimp. Everything has always come out perfect at this location. The desserts are delicious (even the gluten free cookies). I've been inspired to make my own version of many of these dishes but nothing like the original! The staff is friendly and great at answering your questions. Definitely try this place out if you're looking for healthier options that still leave you full with quality ingredients. You won't be dissatisfied. read more
Such a fun vibe, amazing service, and a prime location. Came here before work for a quick lunch, and was not disappointed. It has a fast-casual vibe, you order up front and then they bring it out to your table. Perfect spot for lunch with friends or a date with yourself (like I did!). I ordered Mother Earth and added tofu as protein. Everything was truly delicious. The seasonings and combinations of flavors were separately distinct, but blended together flawlessly. Plus for the affordable price, I couldn't love it more! Being very hungry, I was worried it wouldn't quite fill me up. But it did and now I feel great! Eating food you know is good for always sets you up for a good rest of your day. I came as a stranger, I left as a flower child. read more

Had the chance to try Flower Child for my first meal in Austin and I absolutely loved it. If you are looking for something that is healthy yet delicious, this is the place for you. I got the Mother bowl with chciken, which came with avocado, grains, pesto, sweet potatoes and more! All the flavors came so well together - and although this was filling, it did not feel too heavy which was great. They need to open a branch in California asap! Also prices are pretty reasonable as well. read more
My husband and I wanted to try a newer healthier alternative and found this place. I personally love the portion sizes, it's perfect to keep you satisfied, not to mention it's all good clean food. I ordered the plate with sauted spinach, salmon and fruit. My husband ordered Mother Earth bowl, it was a well balanced plate. The atmosphere was great as optimal customer service. In all our experience was great and we'll go back to try other things in the menu. read more

Such a vibrant salad we had - ginger miso crunch. A good portion for two that just wanted a small snack before a full dinner. Loved a lot of the options on the menu but since I was coming from out of town, I didn't get another chance to try something else but hopefully you can't go wrong with any of the options Loved the natural lighting of the place because of its open windows read more
You know I'm usually a big sucker for places like this. Healthy delicious food with a cute atmosphere that's pretty hip is something I really enjoy. I just found myself underwhelmed unfortunately. The atmosphere I must say was amazing. So cute, great lighting. Made me feel fresh, clean, and calm. My service was just ok. My friend got her meal about 10 minutes before me even though we ordered right after each other. She's too polite to start eating and I felt really bad for her. It was just awkward. My meal honestly was just not good. The chicken I got tasted like cheap lunch meat. I know it's supposed to be healthy but healthy does not mean flavorless. I was just pretty sad because the meal was almost $20 and it tasted like I could have made it myself. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing? Overall I think there's better vegetarian/healthy options out there, especially in Austin, that you'll get more flavor for your buck. read more

Ok let me start here. I work 80 hours a week and I starve myself to feed my children. So I finally scrounge up enough money to buy myself a meal. I'm so excited to try this new and hip restaurant....but once I open my order disaster strikes. I picked it up and skipped all the way back to work, ready to fill my belly with potato and shrimp. But once I open this abomination, I see that the flower child employees have forsaken me. WHY is there a grotesque mound of potato. AND 4 shrimp! This is appalling...I wouldn't even feed it to my children. This place needs to be shut down. This will not be the last time they hear from MEGAN DOUGLAS read more

We had some errands to do in the domain and wanted something light but yummy for lunch- Flower Child fit the bill!! I ordered the Mother Earth bowl and added tofu (tofu was a little rubbery but had a good flavor). My husband got the forbidden rice bowl with salmon- I wish I would have gotten that too! The Mother Earth was tasty but the salmon was DELICIOUS. I also got an iced green tea which was very refreshing and not too strong. I left feeling full but energized! It's counter service but they bring your food to you so there's no waiting around awkwardly for your name to be called. We sat outside, they have a very cute patio area in a busy part of the domain so it's great for people watching. I'm excited to have a new place to find healthy but hearty veg and pescatarian options! read more

Quick and healthy option. Had food in less than 10 minutes. All was delicious and very fresh. Mostly healthy options on the menu and a selection of gluten free desserts at the counter. Friendly staff who helped with recommendations as well. I had the squash and organic pear salad with chicken and the sherry dressing was amazing. A little pricy for the quantity but you're paying for health! Wish I was in town longer I would definitely try more of the menu. read more

Very cute, centrally located fast-casual health focused restaurant. Stopped in while we were in the area at dinner time. I got the Turkey avocado salad, hubs got some kind of steak bowl. Both were a good-sized portion and tasty. Price point absolutely higher than a place like Panera but delicious and fresh. I would absolutely recommend if you're looking for something health forward while at the Domain. read more
