The presentation was good, but the food was flavorless and bland. It was definitely healthy and I love the concept. However, it was just blah and boring. I may try something else in the future. The broccoli was tough to chew for some reason, the steak had a chemical taste to it and the GF Mac and cheese tasted like macaroni tossed in raw flour mixed with just water I kid you not. Flower Child ...my co-worker and I struggle to love you...not because you did anything wrong but because our boss requests his lunch from you EVERY SINGLE DAY. We suggest others, not to take away from your deliciousness, but for varieties sake ...and he won't have it. The food is always consistent, delicious and healthy. I tried the olive oil cake today for the first time and wow! It was really delicious and moist. I did not expect this from a healthy food place. The exterior of this location is gorgeous, think "southern white house with a wrap porch", and the service is always really good. I just wish you had better options for delivery. Currently the only app we can get to go to your location is Favor and their service is shotty at best. Door Dash would be amazing! We just do not have the time to come pick up food every day while doing our regular jobs. A vegan, super health-conscious, friend of mine loves this place. with full disclosure, I'm not a vegan, and I'm not particularly health-conscious when it comes to food. So, I wasn't sure what I would think of this place. It's really good. Tons of flavors in the dishes that we had. options range from salads, two plates where you pick two or three entrees, and wraps. They do offer various proteins, although neither my daughter or I chose to put the meat on our dishes. I had the Glow Bowl. It is a thai-inspired dish bursting with Asian flavor. Lots of noodles, lots of veggies, and lots of spices. I loved it and I will be tempted to order this next time I go. My daughter ordered the Mother Earth Bowl. It contains a variety of different flavors, looked very hearty, and my daughter. It was delicious. So, maybe this place really is coded in magical fairy dust. The food is magically delicious. The asparagus dish was not what I was expecting as it is some kind of cold deal instead of grilled or blanched asparagus. I would pass on that. Vietnamese crunch salad was delicious! Sweet and a bit of a kick! It was super fresh and the perfect light lunch. I added chicken. The tomato toast, while it is a bit messy to eat, was delicious! The goat cheese with the pesto was A+. Highly recommend for a nice switch up/ substitute for something a bit different than avocado toast The rebel wrap is super well balanced with tender steak, caramelized onions and a nice horseradish yogurt for a little zest to give it a kick. This location just opened a few months ago. We took my mom here for lunch because she's gluten free and this place is fantastic! We got here a few minutes before they opened, but within the hour, this place was busy with hungry customers. The building used to be a Pollo Tropical. They have complimentary infused water outside of the door. The dining room is bright with sunshine, and they even have a basket of yoga mats at the corner of the door, adjacent to the register. I ordered the Vietnamese Crunch with tofu. Firstly, the portion is a lot bigger than I'd expect. I was able to take half of the salad home and enjoy it later for dinner. Secondly, Flower Child uses amazing dressings on their salads. The salad dressing not too sweet and overwhelming and the vegetables were crisp and bright. read more

This is my first time coming to Flower Child. I love that they have plenty of options for vegetarians and options for their meat loving counter parts. I ordered the Thai cashew quinoa bowl with chicken, because it was described to me as "fire". Did it live up to its reputation? Yes it did!!! It was soo good! I would even get it next time without the chicken. That's how good it is. I also tried the side of Brussels and the Indian spiced Cauliflower! Also fire! Literally! Just the right amount of spice! The only bad thing I would say is that the online pick up order area is right by the entrance, and they place bagged orders on the shelf by this entrance. Flower child is a "back to the basics" of vegetables, grains, and protein restaurant. Menu choices include soup, appetizers, salads, plates, bowls, or wraps and a protein can be added for an additional cost. And gentlemen, if you're thinking this sounds like "chick food", you'd be wrong. Both times I've been, the clientele was evenly distributed. Flower Child uses the freshest ingredients and each delicious meal is made to order. The menu is overhead and since there's usually a line, you will have ample time to read over your choices. Soups, appetizers, and salads and wraps are self explanatory. Plates can be ordered by choosing one, two or three "sides" (think vegetable plate). Bowls are exactly that, a meal in a bowl. As mentioned earlier, chicken, steak, salmon, or tofu can be added as well. Last, but not least, are the drinks. They offer several different types of tea and lemonade. There are no soda machines (that's one less temptation you'll have!) Now your next question might be, is it filling? And the answer to that would be yes! This was my first, and probably last, experience with Flower Child, Addison. I last year, I met an enthusiastic young lady who was part of the opening, training team in downtown Dallas, who raved about ho Flower Child was all over the country, opening so many stores and how they provided the healthiest meals to their client base. It stuck in my head that "OK. I will have to try it some day." Looking on Yelp for a health conscious offering to impress the client I was bringing to lunch, Flower Child gave me a perception that what I was about to experience would satisfy. It did not and it was all I could do to continue to ask the client so many questions, that she did not have time to examine food. First, let's talk about violating city health codes. During this time of COVID 19 restrictions, my guest did not have a mask. Posted sings on the doors said one was required while not seated at the assigned table. As we (yes, I had mine) decided at the cash register to order, the cashier DID ask her if she had a mask. She said no. The cashier then got the attention of the service manager and asked him if they had more masks for guest. He said "No." We went on ordering. I ordered the Vegan Artichoke salad. I did not notice, but checking on the menu description on line, the ingredients on line do not include Artichoke. Needless to say, yup when our order was served, there was no artichoke in the artichoke salad. The corn listed was at the very bottom of the bowl, about a table spoon, thin shavings of avocado were soft and tender, but the salad as a whole appeared to be dry, without the lemon tahini vinaigrette as described. I asked the server if it were possible to acquire black pepper and more water. "Huh?" was the reply. So, while I was searching the salad for artichoke, the service manager came by and asked "Everything OK?" I told him about the lack of artichoke in the artichoke salad and he replied "Sorry about that. I'll go get you some more." More of what? Nothing? The server did come back to the table with a small white pepper mill and another cup of water. When the service manager came back with the artichoke slices, he apologized again and asked if there was anything else we needed. The large bowl serving the artichoke delivered 8 pieces of what I presumed to be artichoke. The service manager could have, should have offered to take my salad back to the kitchen and start a new salad from scratch for me, but he did not. I needed to continue to engage my guest. I looked at my guest, who had ordered a side of steamed spinach and avocado toast. There was no description on her face, but she said "No thank you." The manager went away and I examined her choices. The spinach was served in such a large bowl, that I had to lean over the table to look into the bowl to see the serving being so small that most people would have consumed it in 4 or less bites. But now, for the avocado toast. I don't know what kind of food costs are being run at Flower Child, but for the 33 restaurants I have personally opened, between 26.8 and 32% is a target for acceptable cost to quantity being served. This could not have been the case for this item. This piece of toast, a multigrain, 1/2" in thickness was square and was served on a much smaller appearing plate to the pictures which I had seen online. The ingredients on the menu also listed "soft egg*, black sesame, white cheddar." The egg did appear to be soft, as the center was a darker shade of orange, compared to a hard boiled egg, However, the was no evidence of black sesame seeds nor white cheddar cheese. Now, the "crushed avocado." In the picture below, one which was uploaded to Yelp from (presumably) a previous guest, there appears to be at least 1/2 to 2/3rd of a cup of avocado under the "soft egg." There was at the most, one table spoon of crushed avocado, thinly spread under the soft egg. I could see portions of the toast between the bits of the (medium sized?) egg and the slathered disappointing portion of mashed avocado was being exalted as being a proper serving. When I then put the "artichoke slices" on my salad, they were pale white colored with no hint of a normal artichoke's yellow hue. Upon tasting one of these "Artichokes," the dry, stale nature of the morsel reminded me of a sliced white mushroom. I knew it was not a mushroom, but what was it that I had just stuck in my mouth? It had no flavor, yet it had the texture of a mushroom. Hhhhmmm. Could it have bee a freeze dried item that was put out to thaw from a food plant? The atmosphere and let's just admit it, there is none. The noise level was at a high point that I needed to assist communication from my entire body to carry across the table for my client to hear me. No, there is no reason to give any recommendation to anyone I know to visit this place. read more

Flower child never disappoints! I've loved the Inwood location but I never was able to head down that way and I'm glad they finally made a location in Addison! A great area and has enough parking during lunch hours which is a plus for all of us workers! During their grand opening it was fast and efficient! I wouldn't expect less from Flower Child! As an appetizer I ordered the Avocado Hummus with pita; unsure if they have gluten free but Inwood does! The hummus was very beautiful and exactly what you would expect an Avacado Hummus would taste like but with a tangy twist! It's creamy and smooth and is decorated with pumpkin seeds and sliced oranges. YUM! I ordered the Mother Earth Bowl added protein for 7$ (salmon) they have other proteins to add. The Mother Earth Bowl contained ancient grains like quinoa and grilled sweet potatoes and a wonderful pesto that goes great with the whole bowl! It's one of my favorite parts haha! Added with avocado slices and a small side arugula salad! They have wonderful gluten free and vegan options as well which is amazing! Love that I was finally able to visit the Dallas location! Great work on aesthetics here, interior design is very nice. I'm so glad that FC came in and kicked Pollo Tropical off this location on Beltline lol as this is MUCH higher quality food! FC has food for everyone; the vegan, the vegetarian, the conventional, the keto, etc. Fair pricing and friendly staff make for a great dining and satisfactory service experience. ORDER THE MOTHER EARTH! I was recommended that by the staff and it's soooo good! The orange sauce is very well done, though I typically have to ask for more as enough isn't given. 5 stars because I cannot find anything bad to say, the bathrooms are clean, the environment is great, and it's in a great location!
