I came to La Spiga for lunch and ended up discovering a new favorite place. The penne pasta with mushroom cream sauce, was absolutely delicious!!! To my surprise they even had fresh bread on the table to fall in love with! The space is warm and inviting, and the service was friendly from the moment we walked in. It feels like one of those local spots you're glad you found. I will definitely be back!

I stumbled upon La Spiga Bakery on my day off & was pleasantly surprised. I eat on belt line all the time but didn't know this places exists but so glad I found it! The service at the counter was very good. Since I had never been in before I ask for recommendations & I really enjoyed my sandwich & salad. They were very kind & helpful. The food came out pretty quickly & was delicious! I enjoyed every bite! Then I went back for a cookie before I left. My only feedback would be that it seemed like tables of 2 or more got a plate of small pieces of bread but tables of one didn't. I didn't need as much bread as the other tables but it would've been nice to get a small plate as well. Since it was my first time in I would've loved sampling more that they had to offer. I will be back & I'll bring people with me because I want my friends and family to try this place out!

This is a quaint spot tucked away. The service is lovely. Most of the menu is available all day and the the order turnaround is relatively quick. They have full sized desserts you can't take home as well as personal sizes. They seem to have lots of patrons they know by name. The bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen looked clean as well. I was surprised to see a roach in the dining area. It happens, just makes one nervous pertaining to food preparation.

Rustic Italian sliced and taken home

Had a chicken tarragon sandwich on baguette today and it was very good. Also too home a loaf of rustic Italian (the Milano) and it's also very good. If you live in Addison you should be buying your bread here instead of the grocery store. Or at least for special occasions / having guests. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Grilled salmon on top of a Caesar salad

How could I possibly have missed this place after living so many years in the town of addison? It is amazing! The food is fabulous. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. The people are so kind. And they have everything to eat from pastries and cakes and muffins to sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta, and soups! Fernanda was super kind and share it all about what was available at the bakery. We tried the cedar salad with grilled salmon and the lemon chicken piccata with angel hair pasta. We also bought the most fabulous fresh sourdough bread and a raspberry scone with a drizzle of icing. We are super impressed! Absolutely La Spiga is a new favorite!

La Spiga is one of those places you take people when they want to experience the hidden parts of DFW. Great food, huge portions. Friendly service. And, it's just a nice local hole-in-the-wall place. We also stop there to pick up a loaf of sourdough every so often. Highly recommend.

I had to come back for lunch.... I LOVE LA SPIGA!!! Brought my picky little sister and she has approved! I got the chicken salad sandwhich and it was so light but filling! We were eating and had kitchen staff come by to see how we enjoyed our food. I will swear by this place up and down!!! The best staff and the best food.

This spot is so unassuming and near a few repair shops. I came here with a few coworkers and as soon as we entered, we were all greeted by an employee behind the register. There were a few "daily" specials on a board near the register and a menu on the wall that broke down the different combos and menu items. I also noticed a menu to the right of the entrance where you could get coffee and an area where you can get cakes/pastries. I asked them at the front what they recommended and they asked what items I was leaning towards. I indicated that I'd like a sandwich. She asked if I'd like to do a combo rather than just a sandwich so I decided on getting Tomato Basil Soup and a Chicken Tarragon Sandwich. The quantity of food our group received for the price we paid was so good. Some members of our group had nearly 2 meals from what we were given. They also provided a small plate of different types of bread for our group like sourdough, ciabatta, and jalapeño cornbread. Anyways, the sandwich was quite large and the soup was warm and tasty. I definitely want to go back to try their pastries and coffee, and maybe even a slice of cake. I recommend you stop by and give them a try!

Top notch. An experience. A staple in the area and the bakers of so many other restaurants. Kudos.

San Martin Bakery & Restaurant - Vodka Pasta with Chicken

San Martin Bakery & Restaurant

This was my first time at this location, but I've been going to the San Martin in Dallas for years…read more I was excited to see that they opened this location so I don't have to drive into downtown Dallas to get my fix. The vibe in San Martin is wonderful - lush greenery and an airy/open dining room. They have lots of menu options (inspired by Latin and European cuisine) to suit anybody's taste. I usually end up getting a traditional Guatemalan breakfast plate since you aren't going to find that many other places around DFW. Honestly, I've never had anything here that I didn't like, plus I love that they bring a complimentary basket of pan to the table. Also, when getting a mimosa they actually come with a handmade Guatemalan artisan bracelet - such a cute touch. Big portions, quality staff, delicious bites, beautiful ambiance.. Definitely a 5 star spot!

- service was great, waiter was super attentive and explained the different Guatemalan traditional…read moredishes - lunch combo is a great deal at $15 for a half sandwich and salad. I tried the Arranchera sandwich with skirt steak and it was great! - kids meals are good staples so you can bring kiddos and not worry about picky eaters. Burger was a good size, Mac and cheese was great even to the adults - the drinks and coffees were so yummy, iced latte was great and presentation for their frappe was good too. - the Addison location had a different vibe than the original but still very pretty, do the seating in the back with all the windows for the best spots.

Haute Sweets Hillcrest Village - French Macarons

Haute Sweets Hillcrest Village

This an amazing example of a bakery who bakes right…read more Once I tasted the macarons I looked into the chefs history - Chef Tida has a diverse and successful roadmap which brought her to here today. The sweets are made in-house (and they clearly do their research on the sweets) and everything I ordered was absolutely delightful. I ordered the Key lime pie - namelaka cream was downright lovely, I wish I could have more! I devoured the whole pie. Coconut lemon bar - the sable dough was the correct choice. The lemon with a hint of coconut balanced out the bar very will, id her this again too! Pecan Blondie - I'm a sucker for the chocolate curls and butterscotch which made this Blondie so delicious. Macarons - Carrot cake, vanilla chai, strawberry is what I ordered I usually avoid macarons because sometimes the temperature is too cold, the cream is a little too hard and the top is too flaky. But my God they did everything right with the macarons. Haute sweets is officially one of my go-to bakeries and I will brag about it to my friends. The attention to small detail, advanced ingredient/recipes, the cutest vibes in the store make this place a slam dunk!

I was looking for an oatmeal cream pie cookie and holy smokes I sure found it !!!…read more The cookie is so so flavorful and soft and to my huge surprise it was not sweet at all. I came with my dog so I couldn't come in the store and the staff was so kind to help me out, bringing me the item outside. I don't recall the gentleman's name who helped me, but he was the kindest. Thank you for making this such a tasteful gift.
