The team was helpful in taking the order for the cake however, decoration wise, the cake was nothing like what I ordered. I chose a design from their page so there was less chance for error but it came out looking like a Pinterest fail. The cake tasted fine which is why I didn't give a one star review but I reached out to the business expressing my concern via email and they ignored me. At the very least they could take ownership for the poorly made cake. I am only writing this so no one else goes through the embarrassment of an eyesore at their party or wedding like we did. Attached the picture of what we ordered vs what we got. It definitely lacked the skill and finesse advertised on their IG page and was not a reflection of how much I paid for the cake.
Fantastic Cakes! Delicious Cakes made the most amazing wedding cakes with some outlandish amazing flavors: everyone keeps telling us how good it was! The taste was everything we could ever want in an amazing cake! Loved our wedding cake.
Delicious cake is an understatement! It's slap your momma good-hahahaha Very helpful when visiting to determine what we wanted for our wedding. Shared the flower color 3 days before picking up and it was a perfect match. If was so fresh when we cut and served it. I'll go back to get a small cake for home.
Delicious cakes Addison makes the best wedding cakes with unique incredible flavors. People are still raving about how delicious our cakes were. Orange Marmalade and Chocolate Turtle for grooms cake. I loved our cakes and they were so fun! Thank you Delicious Cakes!
I was putting together a last minute birthday celebration for my son and needed a cake in 3 days. Called several places before I found Delicious Cakes...no one could have it done in 3 days. I spoke to Kara over the phone...explained to her what I needed. Paid for it over the phone and picked it up 3 days later. The cake was beautiful and delicious! Thank you for making my son's birthday even more special! I'll definitely be coming back. Thanks again, Mrs. Anderson
I don't know why they don't have FIVE STARS! They are so nice. I went in there very last minute to get a cake for my brother. We just got news that his brain tumor had decreased in size by 50%!! It called for a celebration! When I told them what it was for, everyone celebrated with me. They are just so sweet! Oh, and the cake was delicious! We got the pink champagne cake, and my brother loved it! Keep up the great work!! I'll be back for another one when the cancer is completely gone!
We coordinated with them over email and sent a couple picture options for baptism cakes they replied with a quote for how much it would be to recreate each. I loved the transparency up front and responsiveness. We choose a 2-tier design for the cake we liked and they sent their list of flavors. We selected those and agreed upon a pick up time and paid over the phone. My MIL picked up the cake and when I saw it later it, it exactly matched what we agreed upon via email! We also ordered a custom cake toper separately. Overall, a seamless experience and the cake was not just beautiful but also delicious. They helped make my baby's baptism special and we'll definitely use them for other special occasions!
I ordered my birthday cake from here because I went in for cake tasting prior for my wedding and loved their raspberry liquor with lemon filling. I'm glad I didn't choose Delicious Cakes to make my wedding cake because my birthday cake design turned out terribly! I gave this two stars because Mindy was lovely! She was sweet and worked with me very well. However, there was another lady who was not so great. She was not approachable, short and almost a smart a** with her responses. She offered no solutions and I made it obvious I was not happy with the birthday cake. Here's the picture I showed them versus the cake that I received. And like i said, she said there was "nothing they can do about it".
This review consists of nothing but facts. For the first time, in my many reviews, I am omitting my opinions and personal feelings concerning this incident. Facts: I have been using this place for many years for my "special occasion cakes". They do, in fact, have DELICIOUS CAKES! Pink Champagne is my beloved! My twin sister and I purchased a retirement cake for our mom in May 2018. No one greeted us or my brother in law upon walking in the door. 30 years of business, I know, I know, you get too busy sometimes. We picked up the cake at closing time on a Friday evening and drove straight to the venue, 4 minutes away. The handsome cake was on display in the front of the party room, when it suddenly completely collapsed. My mom never got to see her cake and the restaurant staff advised that we move the cake to the kitchen so that it be 'served and not seen'. Again, a very yummy cake! The following week, I contacted Delicious Cakes in person; I was then advised to email them, no response....emailed them again a week later...no response. Unfortunately, I had to resolve it on my own, in a different manner. I wasn't looking for problems or handouts, just a resolution...which I did not acquire from Delicious Cakes. My Emotional state: We had an 8 year relationship. I'm heartbroken.
Giving two stars for acceptable customer service (as all places should have), but at least that part wasn't terrible. I ordered a drip design on a cake that costs an extra $20, but it hardened and cracked which was especially bad during the cake cutting, also it just looked plain messy. I requested my friend and her fiancé's initials be written on the cake and it looked like something a 10 year old could write. It wasn't even properly centered. After seeing a lot of similarly frustrating reviews, I wish I had read yelp before ordering. But it was one of the only places I could find that needed less than a week's notice, which is what warrants the 2nd star. However, if you're a bakery and make specialty cakes for a living, the least you could do is a good job at it. If you can't, go into another line of business.

The cake they made for me looked terrible. It looked like it was rushed made poorly and made by someone new. Bad presentation for the amount the cake cost definitely won't be going back. read more

So, we got married in October of 2009 but I never thought to review the people who made my cake until I was talking to an engaged friend of mine, and suggested them. Well, DUH! This is such a hard decision and you want the right people. I had a really great experience with delicious cakes, and I cannot wait to go back on our one year anniversary and get our anniversary piece of cake! Please look at the photos I added to see an example of the exemplary work they do. We had a challenge when it came to our cakes, and most bakeries told us it just wasn't possible. My husband had seen a photo of a cake on some show and we took a terrible iPhone picture of it. We e-mailed the terrible picture to the cake designer and they were able to replicate it perfectly! My husband was so happy, and we were both impressed!! I am also very simple and was so put-off at other cake places where they kept trying to push the frilly fancy cakes on me which I didn't want! I can see that others had bad experiences but my tasting and design process was so smooth and fun! My cake ended up with a "Swiss Dot" technique and ribbon wrapping. To tell you about the flavors... my cake was 4 layers, but only 2 were real. One layer was pink champagne which was sooooo delicious, people ate every slice available. Another layer was the lemon supreme which was so incredible!! Also, I don't know what they do different with their cake but it is so moist. The day of our wedding the cake tasted fresh and moist and looked amazing!! Hubby had the fresh strawberry cake in one layer, and the raspberry liqueur in another. Both were phenomenal (I liked the strawberry better) and our guests constantly came up to us to comment on how good the cake was, and how delicious they were. One very cool thing they do is that instead of making you freeze a slice of cake (which is never good on the anniversary) they actually make you a "topper" with your flavors and your cake design, on your one year anniversary. You just call ahead! We can't wait for THAT!! YUM!!! If you're looking for someone who will do everything they say they will, these are the ones to trust! read more
My husband and I utilized the services of Delicious Cakes for our wedding, and I am so glad we did. For our initial consult we met with Buck who was personable, accommodating, and he made our vision come to life. They provided the wedding cake and grooms cake, and they tasted as good as they looked. We chose the Cassata and Pink Champagne flavor for the wedding cake, and the double fudge chocolate flavor for the grooms cake. I also like the fact that they provide an anniversary cake for our one year so that we didn't have to bother freezing our wedding topper. Overall we had an amazing experience and I can't wait to relive one of our awesome wedding moments with our anniversary topper in the near future. read more

As the name of the location states, the cake was delicious. However, a lot of the things that I thought were standard for the cake were not, so it would have been an upcharge of $300. This prompting me to change the design of my top tiers. Communication: no one ever reached out to me to confirm any details of the wedding. I called them a couple of days before to make sure they even knew my wedding was approaching and to confirm time of arrival. Major disappointment: my cupcakes were all supposed to have light pink icing (the wedding colors were pink, gold and silver), but when they arrived some of them had black/brown icing. Not what I requested at all. I sent an email about this, no response. I called, no answer. Definitely not happy about this. read more

So I found myself without a cake a few months before my wedding because the OTHER place I went with first mysteriously went out of business and took everyone's money. Let's not rehash that. But Butch and Delicious Cakes totally came to my rescue! They still had enough time in their busy schedule for me to order my cake and they even had a better flavor - they did the italian creme without the nuts like we wanted but we decided to make another tier pineapple because their pineapple is just SO. DANG. GOOD. They were VERY easy to work with and had a great sense of humor to calm me down. Plus, my cake looked AMAZING. I had a general idea of what I wanted with a bunch of random pictures that looked "something" like what I wanted...what they created was perfect, a fantastic combination of Greek/Chinese inspiration. Check out the pic! read more
I got married last year and we had Delicious Cakes create both the wedding cake and the groom's cake. We had tastings with three different bakeries and decided that Delicious Cakes offered the best flavors and prices for what we wanted to have made. I was especially happy they were able to create a cool pyramid for my groom's cake as a tribute to my Fraternity. On the day of the wedding, they arrived and had everything setup on schedule. This past week we got to revisit Delicious Cakes for our anniversary. Here's the deal, when you buy your wedding cake from them, you get a coupon for a free anniversary cake! The raspberry liqueur cake we ate for our one year anniversary was wonderful. I can't wait to order something else from them. I'd love to get one of their cakes for my birthday in a month (hint, hint). read more

We used Delicious Cakes for our wedding this past weekend, and I was completely happy with our wedding cake. First, Delicious Cakes' prices were MUCH more reasonable than the other two places we went for cake tastings (hint: they are the other two places that are most Yelped for wedding cakes in Dallas). But on top of the price, they created a design I liked more than the other two, more expensive places. The taste was good, and everything came out just as asked. I've attached cell phone pics for now, but will update with pro pics when those came in. One person at my wedding said my cake was "dead gorgeous" and the best cake she'd ever seen at a Sri Lankan wedding. Pretty high praise. Overall, I totally recommend Delicious Cakes. read more

They made the cake for our wedding and the entire experience from the first visit to the delivery of the cake was awesome. I was not able to make it for the first tasting and they let us come back and taste again so I could sample - the cake was moist and the icing was sweet! On the wedding day, they were very punctual and did a great job of setting up the cake and cake balls (I definitely recommend those!!!). Their customer service is outstanding, especially by the two sons that delivered the cake. I highly recommend working with them. read more

I found this place by accident when leaving my barber. I love cake so when I saw the pretty cakes in the window I had to go in. She has yummy cupcakes and extra goodies. There's always a nice variety of flavors to try. If you're in the neighborhood it's worth the visit. read more

I ordered a skateboard cake and was so impressed by the art and detail they added making it hard to tell if it was real or cake! The time and dedication they devoted on my cake was too good to be true. I highly recommend this bakery for all your celebratory needs! The buttercream icing was truly "the icing on the cake." It was so savory and not to mention how soft and delicious the cake was itself. The entire staff was accommodating, personable and made my experience out of this world! Check out the cake below! What an awesome job Delicious Cakes! read more

Delicious Cakes is truly delicious! We tasted cake all over Dallas, and this was the best flavor and texture, hands down. It was also the best price! We also got exceptional service.Everyone was so nice and no bumps in the road for delivery, etc. Our wedding cake was butter cake and champagne, with chocolate filling and white frosting on the outside, with a beautiful natural texture. The grooms cake was a layer of fudge cake and a layer of orange cake with fudge frosting. We got SO MANY compliments on the cake, but ESPECIALLY the grooms cake. You also get a free mini cake on your anniversary so you don't have to eat old cake from your freezer. We chose to have the grooms cake! read more

From the moment I stepped into Delicious Cakes I loved it. The place was well decorated and the staff was friendly. When we went to our cake tasting appointment all the cakes were great and it was hard to pick which one we wanted. They even gave us samples to take home. The cake we ordered was simple but once they decorated it was flowers it was gorgeous and just what I imagined. They are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. I would recommend them to anyone. They were a wonderful piece to my wedding puzzle. read more
