We recently went to get our cake for my daughter's birthday (9/12/25). We chose a ready to go cake and Tania had told us that the bakers had left and she was going to give just a plain white cake. I was very disappointed but I was going to buy it anyway. I decided to ask someone else and ask if they could please help me in anyway possible. Then I found out by another employee that the bakery isn't allowed to sale cakes unless they're decorated. Tried their strawberry cake (with strawberry fruit) and loved it! So I went back and decided to order another 8" inch cake: (chocolate with filling of strawberry fruit) , the design of the cake was pretty but it wasn't what i wanted, there was a couple details missing from the original picture I showed them , including the cherries and they STILL wanted to charge me full price for them ($95) without having them on the cake, until I pointed it out and had to ask if they could at least reduce the price. The taste itself was pretty mid , every bite was half cake and half icing. I love sweets and I love icing but this cake had wayyy too much icing and I felt robbed and for the fruit filling i thought they hadn't put any at all until I had to INSPECT it only to find the tiniest strawberry chips ever. Had to throw it away the next day because it was already tasting rancid even while being refrigerated /: It was pretty but it's kind of like you know when people say there's some restaurants that are only for Instagram bcs the food is trash, well that's what I would compare it to, it was cute for pictures but probably one of the worst cakes I've tried. I always like supporting the little guys, the individuals who start their own business and grow it. I saw this place many years ago in what may have been their first location on Walnut St. The owners allowed me to come in and take pictures of their cakes for an assignment I had in a photography class @ Richland. Fast forward about 12 years and I found their current location and ordered a cake. It was a fairly small cake for dessert for a specific event. It was 1 layer but had 3 layers of cake inside with buttercream icing and a smidge of fruit. The staff was very good throughout the process. It was a little difficult to understand the girl taking my order since I don't speak spanish. But she was good and she clarified things as we went. There were a lot of choices and options and they had a lot of pictures to choose from and to show you their skills. Every question was answered to my satisfaction. For me, the 'inside process' of ordering looked organized and thought out, right down to the order form with the shape of your cake already printed on it. The prices were a bit high, but despite the other reviews, you cannot get their type of creativity from a grocery store. People who can do this type of work don't work for grocery stores. The taste of this icing was the reason for the 3 stars instead of 5. I ate a small piece of cake at the event. I took home what was uneaten and cut it up to freeze some. There were blobs of icing on the top used to prop up the decorations on the top. You don't see them until you take off those decoration. Those blobs were rancid and tasted bad. I mentioned it to my husband and Mr. Sweet-Tooth said he did not like the cake. I'm wondering if I chose an unusual color that had been sitting around waiting to be used up. That same icing was used in other parts of the cake and now I'm also wondering if others thought it was bad also. Because I like supporting small businesses, I will give them another try, should the occasion arise. But I will be more particular about the colors I choose. Last comment, they only take cash. It wasn't on their website or facebook. Can't imagine someone who orders a $200-$400 cake or more being prepared to pay cash. read more

For a 175 dollar cake I would expect it to look like the picture instead what I received looked more like a Sam's Club Cake with bad cutouts of the characters. Flowers were off, color of the cake was off, just disappointment after another. Should've known the No Refunds sign was a red flag. I've got to say that I've had an awesome experience from this bakery up until now. I picked up a cake for my nephew who turns 12 today. When I ordered his cake it was suppose to be a simple yet aesthetically pleasing cake to look at. I even gave them a pic as to what was expected. I believe that when you order a cake the way it looks is just as important as it taste. Yes the cake does taste very good. And the consistency is on point. But I can honestly say that with this recent cake I would not tell my friends and family which bakery made it for embarrassment. They have done several cakes for me. I have tried their Neapolitan, 3 leches, and Argentinean cakes which all have been really good. Only 2 downfalls I have which I will still give them 5 stars for is the price and communication. They are pricey but if you want a nice and tasteful cake then its worth it, and its better to call them first rather then wait for someone to answer your texts back. read more

They made our wedding cakes and we got so, so, many compliments on both of them! The bridal cake was Neapolitan flavored, which is rather unique for a wedding cake. We had several people tell us they were going to share a piece and ended up eating several slices. It looked beautiful with ribbon and flowers. The groom's cake was red velvet and so creative! It was a Dr Pepper cooler with Dr Pepper bottles in it made out of rice krispy treats and marshmallows. Everyone loved it and it tasted really good. Best of all, they were significantly less expensive (and more creative) than any of the other places we looked at. I only wish they offered more cake flavors :/ Everyone that I've encountered here only speaks Spanish, so that made things a bit difficult at first, but the final product was always as expected so moot point I guess. They're a bit pricey. I'm not sure how much other bakeries charge, but the owl cake pictured was $80 and it fed about 30 people. The curious george cake was $85 and it fed 40. I didn't post anything back when this happened but I just passed by there and wanted to express my pure frustration of them. We ordered a cake for my cousins wedding and I paid as a gift to her. We paid 400 dollars for this cake to be completely wrong. We were very specific on several points within the conversation that we wanted buttercream icing. So when I went drop off note I told them If I could get just the butter cream colored but all the cake didn't matter if boy or girl do orange cake. So this particular time it was somebody else & she said she I had to pay more if I wanted the cake & that she would give me another price just so she could get commission so I said then just do strawberry cake for everything. Must say that the cake and food were good for their ballroom, Latino Ballroom, and the service leading up to the day of the event. This is where some things went wrong. First, the agreement was that the place be ready to go in the morning so we could decorate. It was not ready and we had to help get things in order. When discussed with the owner, he said he didn't have to and I didn't have to help. Then, during the night, my wife and I had to continuously ask the servers to make fill up the drink dispensers for the guests because they kept asking us for water or something to drink even thought the employees were standing in front of the empty drink dispensers. Owner stated that he didn't see that as a big deal. Next, because it is buffet style, guests would go up to the table with their plates in hand wanting to get food. The servers would look at them with a blank look and asked if they could help them in a rude almost sarcastic manner. Duh! Why else would they be standing in front of covered dishes of food holding empty ceramic plates. Owner rudely once again stated that he did not see the point to my complaint. Cake was cut very sloppy and due to that, the whole bottom was tossed. What finally set me off was that the employees were in such a rush to leave that they turned the lights on at 1:30 even though I paid until 2am for the party. When I confronted the employee and asked him to turn them back on, he decided to continue arguing and have me argue back until he turned them back on. Basically, the owner stated that he felt that all of the complaints were a minor issue and needed not address them because the $4500 I paid is not that much money and that he is successful enough now to worry about things like the ones I brought to his attention. read more

I was not impressed. I came in for the first time about a month ago to order a cake for my niece. I had a picture of what I wanted and they said they would make it look as similar as possible. When I picked it up, it wasn't even close. The colors where off and it looked like something I could have decorated myself. Instead of mixing the dye with the frosting, they just spray painted it so you could still see the white under and it looked tacky and faded. I had requested whipped frosting but from the looks of it, their fondant skills are much better. I asked for a strawberry cake and it was the driest cake I had ever had from a bakery.
