I have been buying cakes from here for the last 5 years and I NEVER had a worse experience than the one I had today, I came into tango bakery to pick up my sons birthday cake back at the beginning of AUGUST which is when I placed another order for TODAY 9/14/25 for MY BABY SHOWER CAKE.. I received a text from TANGO BAKERY on 9/4/25 @ 2:47PM stating that they were no longer going to be open on SUNDAYS but that since I was due to pick up my BABY SHOWER CAKE TODAY SUNDAY 9/14/25 they would be open from 10AM to 12PM. I show up TODAY BEFORE 11AM and there is NOONE here and also another couple who was told to pick up from 9AM to 12PM I PAID FOR 50% of this order up front and I FULLY EXPECT MY MONEY BACK! This is UNACCEPTABLE!!! Not only is MY BABY SHOWER RUINED I MADE A TRIP FROM CARROLLTON TO GARLAND FOR NOTHING !!! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL OF THIS BUSINESS ON ALL LEVELS!!!!!

Tried their strawberry cake (with strawberry fruit) and loved it! So I went back and decided to order another 8" inch cake: (chocolate with filling of strawberry fruit) , the design of the cake was pretty but it wasn't what i wanted, there was a couple details missing from the original picture I showed them , including the cherries and they STILL wanted to charge me full price for them ($95) without having them on the cake, until I pointed it out and had to ask if they could at least reduce the price. The taste itself was pretty mid , every bite was half cake and half icing. I love sweets and I love icing but this cake had wayyy too much icing and I felt robbed and for the fruit filling i thought they hadn't put any at all until I had to INSPECT it only to find the tiniest strawberry chips ever. Had to throw it away the next day because it was already tasting rancid even while being refrigerated /: It was pretty but it's kind of like you know when people say there's some restaurants that are only for Instagram bcs the food is trash, well that's what I would compare it to, it was cute for pictures but probably one of the worst cakes I've tried. I'm never driving an hour for cake ever again lololol

They did an amazing job with my sons birthday cake. I was able to make the order and put even though I was in Colombia. I called them on a Friday about an 8" custom round cake I needed the next Tuesday and they delivered! They were very nice and was able to finish the cake early. I was very happy! I will definitely go to them again!

For a 175 dollar cake I would expect it to look like the picture instead what I received looked more like a Sam's Club Cake with bad cutouts of the characters. Flowers were off, color of the cake was off, just disappointment after another. Should've known the No Refunds sign was a red flag. If your looking for detail this is not the place I just hope the taste of this cake is decent.

I am so impressed with this bakery. This was my first time ordering a birthday cake from here. They completely executed the designs of my cake and it tasted amazing. I was so impressed with the outcome! I highly recommend this bakery!

I've got to say that I've had an awesome experience from this bakery up until now. I picked up a cake for my nephew who turns 12 today. When I ordered his cake it was suppose to be a simple yet aesthetically pleasing cake to look at. I even gave them a pic as to what was expected. I believe that when you order a cake the way it looks is just as important as it taste. Yes the cake does taste very good. And the consistency is on point. But I can honestly say that with this recent cake I would not tell my friends and family which bakery made it for embarrassment. I hope in the future that they would put more love and effort in make amazing cakes as before. I feel like they've lost some of their passion. Ive added photos to the photo section. They have done several cakes for me. I have tried their Neapolitan, 3 leches, and Argentinean cakes which all have been really good. Only 2 downfalls I have which I will still give them 5 stars for is the price and communication. They are pricey but if you want a nice and tasteful cake then its worth it, and its better to call them first rather then wait for someone to answer your texts back.

Bride's cake included the ribbons and flowers (Neapolitan flavor). Groom's cake was red velvet & rice krispy treats.

They made our wedding cakes and we got so, so, many compliments on both of them! The bridal cake was Neapolitan flavored, which is rather unique for a wedding cake. We had several people tell us they were going to share a piece and ended up eating several slices. It looked beautiful with ribbon and flowers. The groom's cake was red velvet and so creative! It was a Dr Pepper cooler with Dr Pepper bottles in it made out of rice krispy treats and marshmallows. Everyone loved it and it tasted really good. Best of all, they were significantly less expensive (and more creative) than any of the other places we looked at. I would definitely recommend Tango Bakery for your wedding cakes or special occasion. They were moist, creative, and delicious.

I've purchased a few cakes from this bakery and the cakes always come looking absolutely fabulous! I only wish they offered more cake flavors :/ Everyone that I've encountered here only speaks Spanish, so that made things a bit difficult at first, but the final product was always as expected so moot point I guess. They're a bit pricey. I'm not sure how much other bakeries charge, but the owl cake pictured was $80 and it fed about 30 people. The curious george cake was $85 and it fed 40. The cakes look beautiful and I know I never have to worry about presentation. Overall, a great bakery!

Was very disappointed with the last cake I ordered. Tango bakery is no longer the same. Cakes do taste good but when it comes to custom order such as mine, after the promised they could make the cake I wanted, I was very disappointed with the presentation of the cake. I paid $60 for this cake and was very disappointed. I asked for the fondant pair of shoes to be next to each other and stacked the same and was even told that they would make them smaller then the photo I showed them to make it happen and I was ok with that. Well I ended up with something completely different. I've decided I'm no longer going back

Wonderful cakes and creative staff! I had a frog cake designed within a day and my aunt was so surprised she cried. I recommend the tres leches cake as it was definitely a crowd pleaser. read more

I first used Tango Bakery a year ago for my grandsons 6th birthday. The cake at that time was a simple sheet cake. The cake was just ok but, it was also on short notice too. So, I decided to use them again this year. The absolute worst decision ever. I called two months in advance; as well as texted them a picture of the cake I wanted. They assured me they could make the cake. So, one month prior to the party I went to the bakery and sat down with Karrina. At which time I re-text the picture so it would be on their computer. We went over details of the cake and she (kerrina) took specific notes regarding the cake. Did a taste test and chose the napoleon flavor. I left there feeling good thinking this was going to be the most amazing cake ever. I thought about the look in my grandsons eyes once he would finally see his cake. So, when I went to pick the cake up I was shocked and devastated to say the least. The cake looked nothing like what I ordered. I paid $145 for a big chunk of crap with stickers on it, topped with a hulk. The picture on the left is what I ask for the one on the right is what I got. And, to make matters worse each tier was supposed to be Napoleon style/flavor... didn't happen! The cake was so dry I thought the children would get choked. It was HORRIBLE!! I would NOT recommend them nor will I ever use them again! read more

Ordered their Neapolitan cake because it was truly delicious when I tried it at a party. Placed my order for pickup and described how I wanted it and the girl I was talking to kept telling me to hold on because she had to ask about everything like she didn't have any answers at all. Sent my mom to pick it up and I told her how it was supposed to be. When she arrived, it took 15 (literally counted) workers there 30 minutes to give her one simple cake and the cake was not even close to how it was supposed to be. The man she spoke with was rude to her and I called back for him to get on the phone and sound annoyed and said he was going to make it how I originally ordered it, plain, condescendingly. They had other cakes there decorated beautifully and the "remade" cake I received did not even appear worthy of a $45 value. Although the cake is flavorful that is not enough to compensate for their truly terrible customer service and I will not be using their services again. read more

I'm honestly shocked at the bad review for this place! I placed a custom cupcake order for a friend's baby shower and everyone was so impressed! The owner, I forget his name, was a very nice guy. I showed him pictures of the monkey fondant toppers that I wanted for the cupcakes, and he was able to match everything perfectly. The cupcakes were chocolate with white frosting, and they were moist and sweet without being too sweet. And the fondant was even tasty! (sort of banana like in my opinion). The best part is that I got a killer deal. Each cupcake was less than $3. Check them out, you will not regret it!!! read more

Never going back here and I'll make sure non of my friends or family go back. This bakery is so unorganized each employee would call me and say different things the owner was very rude and unprofessional they gave me my cake which was frozen for 2 weeks not even the day for the party come to find out bakery isn't suppose to sell u a cake that has been frozen for more than a week the cake isn't good anymore. Hate this place with a passion I don't recommend this place to anyone !! read more

Horrible service! I'm making a complaint so the owner can be aware of how his employees are doing business. I texed to get a quote on cake and they were replying with questions then when I asked for price they never replied so I threatened to do bad review and they start blowing my phone up, but I wasn't able to pick up. I told them to please reply with price and they came back saying they don't tex clients which is a LIE because I have texed before and they replied. I then said I will no longer go to Tango and they just said ok thanks, basically not caring. Horrible customer service! Glad they aren't the only bakery out here. They have lost a frequent customer over not giving me a quote. read more

Well i dont know who these people are referring to with their negative comments but for every event i have had Tango Bakery has been my go to Bakery!!! For my quincenaera they where on time they helped out to decorate the ballroom because we were running late, I got alot of compliments for the food served at my party, and my cake was the talk of the school......My quinceanera was the event of the year that everyone talked about if i do say so myself....Adrian the owner of the bakery was so kind he even congratulated me at the end of the party and g even gave me a great big hug they were there every step of the way from a year back from when we started planning to the day of the party....they even helped me wrap up all the left overs for me to take home.... Thats why Tango Bakery will also be doing my sisters sweet sixteen this summer 2013...... I have also order two cakes for two different baby showers and not only where they both at a great price but they were mouth watering good...I STRONGLY recommend the Argetino cake! And this Halloween I ordered Halloween inspired cupcakes for a competition among my coworkers for the best Halloween inspired plate and needless to say I was impressed.....As i walked in with them the compliments came flowing in from all my coworkers and my boss and i felt very proud and superior that day ;) I really recommend you all give these guys a chance they ARE awfully good people and they have an amazing business with lots to offer.....GO TRY THEM OUT AND SEE FOR YOURSELFS!!!! -A SATISFYED COSTUMER FOR 3 YEARS:) read more

I really dont know what's the issue with the people that did bad reviews about this AWESOME BAKERY! I Love it!! I really try to like other cakes but adrian's are the best!! I did my Sweet 16 with him at his old salon they have and that was 2 years ago!!If we ever need a cake, we always go to him because we know we always have a good deal and treat us like royalty! Me and my family know Adrian and he is really profecional I have no complains about his cake or his service... instead I congratulate them for having an awesome service specially because they made my sweet 16 look fancier than what it actually was! Attention cake lover's! First of all, politeness was my first impression. I have had 3 cakes done by them in the past year because they do such a great job in a timely-fashion. My nephew had a Mickey Mouse the birthday cake made by Tango Bakery. I found an idea online and took it to the bakery, sat down with them and designed the cake. It came out so well, my 3 year old nephew could not stop looking at it. I've tried several flavors and I love every single one not exaggerating :). My husband and I had our wedding cake made by Tango Bakery and it was absolutely perfect! We had so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful and delicious our cake was. We chose their Neapolitan flavored cake and it was so delicious! Our overall experience through the process was great even up to the big day. I strongly recommend Tango bakery for weddings, quinceañeras, or any kind of event!! They cater my wedding two years ago!! They did an awesome job!!! They're really professional, friendly, and kind. The food, cake and the service before and after our wedding was GREAT!!!! They helped us in everyway they could. All our guests loved the food and the cake!!! The food (catering), the staff, all the service... L.O.V.E. this place! I enjoyed the Argentina cake. Yesterday at last minute ordered a custom cake and they did it within 24 hours. On June 2012 I celebrated my daughter's fifteen. I got the VIP package from tango bakery. The package was for 500 people. That include the food, cake, decoration, the bar tenders and waiters. Everything was top of the line. All my guest were so impress and they loved it. Adrian and Sergio worked very professional . Everything came out so perfect, a dream come true. read more

They will never have your order done on time. They told me it was going to be done at 6. I had to wait an hour there. Definitely do not recommend. read more
