Lovely service with packed menu of individual and whole cheesecakes

Wandered in here after driving by for the last couple years. I wanted to get a special cheesecake treat for my husband and they did not disappoint. The associate chatted with me about the store and different options they had for whole cakes and small bites. My husband loved his chocolate cheesecake, but I was surprised at how good the non-namesake items were. The fudge walnut brownie was divine - moist, dense, and full of chocolate. The tiramisu was better than you'd get in any restaurant. This will be our go-to treat for post arboretum or whenever we're in the white rock area. Thanks for the friendly service and delicious desserts!

Drove past this place on our way to the Arboretum so we stopped by on our way home. We picked up some cake pops/balls from here for a dinner party we had later that night. I ordered a dozen and then decided to get one for myself for the road. The service was extremely nice and didn't even charge me for my extra cake ball. The mint chocolate chip tasted just like the Andes chocolate which I love!! I haven't had the cheesecake yet but I cant wait to try it.

Oooooo cheesecake Royale is the best! When you open your box of cheese cake and smell it for the first time you're truly in love with it at first smell and sight! I've delivered to the factory in dallas and it's so cool seeing all the cakes a must stop

Red Velvet Cake: More moist than your average red velvet.

CAKE SERVED ON A ROYALE PLATTER, YOUR HIGHNESS. Very rarely have I seen cakes so large that they take up the entire space of the cake box that they come in. While I was getting my taste buds ready for the ensuing cakey goodness, my party was having difficulty serving the first slice of cake, without harming the immaculate presentation. Each cake slice is separated by parchment paper, ensuring that any embarrassment would be avoided since it is pre-sliced and separated. I was mesmerized by the layers of moist cake and cream, slowly tempting me into dessert heaven. That was everything leading up to my first bite, so let me tell you about that first bite. Full disclosure: This review is on their Three Layer Cakes. I have not had the chance to sample their cheesecakes, which I regret in retrospect to writing this review (After all, this place is called Cheesecake Royale Bakery). The Desserts: Italian Cream (Wedding) Cake: TIL THE NEXT BITE AND FOREVER. With cream cheese icing touched by coconut over a bed of moist white cake, bits of pecan, and a hint of cinnamon, this Italian Cream Cake delivers subtle, piercing flavors. The coconut and pecans provide a crunchy texture, while complementing the sugary sweetness of the icing with their nutty flavors. With that slight cinnamon taste, this cake leaves the warm, comfortable feeling of autumn on your tongue. Maybe that is comfort food quality combined with the extravagance of dessert is why this is also known as the Italian Wedding Cake. Red Velvet Cake: 80% RED. 90% VELVET. 100% CAKE. What can I say? When you tried one red velvet cake, you have tried them all. However, this Red Velvet Cake is much more moist with less of that "Red 40" flavor than my usual fair. Unfortunately, the chocolate flavor was very diminished and every time my tongue grazed the cheese cream frosting, I felt the sugar granules like sand flowing on the beach that is my tongue (-1 star). This Red Velvet Cake sets itself apart from others, but honestly, it is too similar in many respects. Have a slice and move on, Red Velvet is the endangered fad trend that Millennials are trying to save from extinction. The Verdict: CAKE FIT FOR KINGS, QUEENS, and DESSERT ENTHUSIASTS. I like a moist cake that can stand itself straight on a plate and grace my eyes with its appetizing beauty. These are the types of cakes that you will encounter here. The Italian Cream Cake is the embodiment of autumn season with a tinge of cinnamon and the nutty flavors of coconut and pecan. The Red Velvet Cake tastes less chocolately and less artificial, but the levels of sugar in the cream cheese frosting is enough to convert consumers into pre-diabetics after one bite. Unfortunately, you can feel the texture of sugar granules; the crunch on your teeth and the graininess on your tongue. If cake is not your fair, go for the gold and get the cheesecake. I will have a slice of their cheesecake soon and let you know; so stay tuned.

When I ordered a latte on a Sunday afternoon the place was positively hopping! They had a long backlog of orders and ended up staying open past their closing time to get everyone's coffees made. I tried a caramel latte which came in a cleverly constructed paper cup with a spout, which I assume is better for the environment. A wee bit pricey at seven and a half bucks, but a nice pick me up for the afternoon. Seating in the restaurant is limited, but the bookstore is enormous with many reading nooks to sit at.

The space is small, but with cute, tiki vibes. If you are only ordering coffee and pastries, you can also sit in Half Priced Books or on their patio. - Service: For a full service meal, La Casita is order at the table. I recommend a reservation for weekend brunch so you can guarantee a seat. If you just want pastries / coffee, you can order at the counter. Expect a line during busy times, but it moves quickly. On my most recent visit I saw they added mobile ordering. The employees at La Casita always provide great advice on what to order. - Food / drink: The La Casita pastries are hands-down my favorites in Dallas. I love their monthly rotating items (only Saturdays and Sundays). You must visit in October for their Halloween specials! One of my favorite standard menu items is the ham and cheese croissant. Their drinks are also top notch. I love the ginger mint matcha in the spring and sweet potato latte in the fall. The salted honey matcha and Turkish lattes are great standard options. If you're able to get a seat, the food is not to miss! I think they have some of the best chilaquiles in town. The banana praline pancakes are perfect for a sweet treat and the sandwiches are great if you want something more savory. In the evenings, this location turns into a tiki bar. I haven't tried their evening food yet, but I enjoyed my cocktail when I went in the evening and I hope to try more evening food and drinks soon. I also have to give a shout-out to their to-go drink containers. They are compostable and their large size folds up so you can get the perfect sip without a straw or a gaping hole. I hope more businesses take note and start to use these too! - Value: La Casita provides fair portion sizes for the price, especially the sit-down brunch items. Everything is made with the highest degree of quality so it's money well spent!
