Looked great from the top though! The strawberry cupcake was okay - I liked the top a lot but the bread was dry so I didn't finish it The place has solid craftsmanship in baked goods for sure - but the creativity and unique ingredients are lacking. We tried this place today for the first time. We noticed it after finishing lunch at a restaurant within the shopping center. The inside is pretty and I love that the sign inside says it is all made from scratch. There are many choices; more than I expected. You can order a slice of cake, cupcakes, or a whole cake. We bought a couple of different flavors- Oreo and red velvet cupcakes plus coconut and chocolate strawberry slices. $24 + the credit card machine asks if you want to tip. The woman assisting us said the cupcakes were sold 2 at a time. Apparently you can't get a single cupcake?? Her demeanor was all business and she seemed impatient as we ordered. My son ate his Oreo cupcake incredibly fast. Not surprising for a kid but he gave it his stamp of approval. My red velvet cupcake was delicious. It didn't have a rum cake taste, but the frosting was light and not overly sweet. The actual cupcake was moist and flavorful. We have yet to eat our 2 slices but expect they will be equally as good. Hopefully the next time we go, we'll get better service. The service is the reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I considered only doing 3 stars but figured I'd give the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was just having a bad day. read more

We ordered a cake for my son's birthday. It was a great size (the bigger one, I forgot dimensions), and we had a ton leftover even for having so many at the birthday party! I will say that it was extremely sweet. We got the strawberry lemon cake. We also got a little slice of the bourbon cake and Italian cream cake. Those were extremely sweet too. They definitely would be great for anyone who has an extra sweet tooth, but I tend to like my cakes with a bit more flavor. Great place though! read more

When I say the cake, I was completely awestruck. They designed it soooo well, it was just amazingggggg. And complete honesty, I didn't have much hopes for the taste because the custom cakes usually won't be super tasty because of the fondant layering etc, but they proved me so wrong. First time here, but I was very disappointed with the birthday cake I got yesterday. I got an almond cake, which was recommended by the lady there. It was very dry, very sweet, yet no rum flavored at all!! The icing sugar was too thick and solid without any rum flavored. It is $45 for the 6" cake that is very simple decoration with some almonds around. Definitely not worth for the money!! Never again!!! Also not for Asian for sure!! This certainly will go ignored just as my calls and emails to the store I'm sure. My daughter recently bought me 3 cake/cookie items from this location for my bday. While eating the chocolate cookie with German chocolate icing, I bit down on something hard that while breaking off part of my tooth, also pieced the roof of my mouth. Turns out it was a push pin you'd use on a cork-board. After stopping the bleeding, I reach out to the store manager to inform her of what has occurred. She takes basic information and requests a picture of the pin which I supplied. 15-20 minutes later she text back requesting a receipt which I also provided. After hearing nothing back for a couple of hours I text and ask when I'll receive info on how to proceed... maybe an insurance contact. I was informed they have no insurance because it's a "small business" and that's when I was given an email to correspond with. Well needless to say, I've emailed twice now and even text the number again with zero response from this company. Would give a negative rating on customer service if that was an option. read more

This bakery is way over rated. We read some reviews in Yelp/Google and decided to give it a try. We purchased a birthday cake from this bakery and it is way way too sweet. The cake itself is not moise at all. When cut in slices, the inner cake started to fall apart. The price we paid was $45.00. In addition, the cake has no rum flavor at all. We could have purchase a birthday cake from Whole Foods, Kroger or Costco for sure taste much better, less sweet, and much cheaper. We will not go back for sure. I spoke with the Jorge and he told me that she made a mistake and the price should be $135. I told him that as a business owner, he should cover the mistake because that is what I was quoted and Jennifer and I were on the phone for an extended period of time. He was combative and rude and would not honor what I was quoted. Jennifer even confirmed that she quoted me $120. He hung up on me.
