Based on the positive reviews, we assumed this was a professional bakery that did quality work. However, these are the birthday cupcakes that were made for my child's birthday costing $24 for 6. These were not acceptable and no pride or care was put into making these. We were left scrambling last minute to find something else more suitable for a special occasion. Very, very disappointed given I could have done a better job baking these. I wish I had gone to pick these up rather than my husband who really didn't inspect these closely before leaving the bakery, because they would have been left right on the counter. Needless to say I will never be using this bakery's services again nor recommending them. read more

Wow! First time to use this business and it was wonderful! I had a weird request (cow cookies) and needed them quickly...not only were they adorable but were ready in 24 hours, rather than the quoted 48 (which was great to begin with). Sadly I never got to taste any of this bakeries sweets. I called to find out details and was informed everything is by appointment only because all of her products are specialty items only. That's not a problem..I told her that I worked & asked what arrangements could be made? The 30-60 seconds of non-reply and no offer of details on how she handles appointments or what products were available to order or even asking what occasion I needed baked goods for....told me she wasn't interested in my business. I accompanied the mother of the bride (MOB) on two cake tastings in Denton, one to a well known bakery that cranks them out and one at Heavenly Taylored Sweets, a smaller three year old start up with emphasis on quality ingredients and customizing by the adorable , personable young woman baker with dedicated, separate entrance bakery space next to her home . MOB chose the only slightly cheaper well known bakery in Denton strictly on its cheaper price, because of the bride's oh-so-lean budget (cheaper in part because of a built in $100 discount incentive from the wedding venue where the wedding is being held). But MOB and I both agreed that Samantha's cakes were much better quality and much better tasting with unique and delicious fillings made with fresh raspberries, or hazelnut, or cookies and cream between the layers. In addition to her delicious fillings, we liked her cream cheese frosting option not available at the other bakery (think Sprinkles cupcakes icing). She was willing to do very custom Italian cream and carrot cakes with or without nuts, coconut, pineapple, and carrot chunks (finely ground or chunkier) . She is a "can do" baker who is willing to customize and fulfill your unique wedding cake vision!
