Disappointing... better to just say NO we can't make it.. even though I went down the street to a bakery and they made it for me overnight exactly as pictured! Owner was flat out rude.. though I've been told service was not good here! You shouldn't agree to do a cake from a picture that you obviously CANNOT DO even remotely close to the inspiration! UPDATE!! Third cake a restaurant on the same street made for me the same day for half the cost.. Perfection!
What an amazing custom cake for my daughter's 18th bir! I'm so satisfied with what I received. They process was so easy in getting the cake ordered and absolutely delicious! Their customer service was so great and I will order again!
Our guests devoured our wedding cake and didn't leave any leftovers for us!!! We ordered a 150 serving cake with layers of cinnamon cake with cream cheese frosting and chocolate cake with amaretto frosting. We had about ~130 total adults and every single person was crazy about it. At our initial consultation, we were served a platter of about 10 different cakes and 10 different frostings. We mixed and matched the combinations until we both had stomach aches- but we each found our favorite combos to create our own unique wedding cake. They delivered the cake straight to the venue on wedding day and there were no hiccups throughout the whole process with Legacy. If you want a moist cake with flavorful frosting and a cake notably better than the rest, this is your place. Legacy cakes are professional, timely, and make a dang impressive cake!! We will be back for our anniversary to have our wedding cake remade for just the two of us and definitely on our next stroll through Main Street to pick up a cupcake! Thank y'all!!!
My twin brothers-in-law's birthday was March 31st and I conspired with my sisters-in-law to throw a family birthday party. The problem was that I'm in California and they live in the DFW metroplex. Nevertheless, I did my due diligence on Yelp and found the top rated bakers. I contacted Legacy Cakes via email to explain the situation, and they followed up with calls, emails and sketches. The venue for the party was El Fenix in Grapevine so we also needed the cake delivered in advance of the party. We could not have been happier with the result of their professionalism, artistry, and human touch. The cake was gorgeous, creative, delicious, and the hit of the party. The guests and even the staff of El Fenix were mightily impressed.
What initially drew me here was the photos of previous cakes that had been made as well as the large selection of cake flavors and icing. Apparently the owner was on Cake Boss' "Next Great Baker", but I never saw her there. Instead we were greeted by a nice red haired lady (sorry, I forgot her name!) and she wrote and drew a picture of exactly how I wanted my cake and made suggestions. I didn't know what to expect for price so I can't say if it was too high or low, but everyone at the party raved about our son's first birthday cake! Not only the flavor (strawberry for top tier and marble for bottom) but how it came out absolutely adorable! I would definitely come here again for any special event that needs a special cake!
Legacy Cakes' team designed a super cute Halloween themed cake for my son's 5th birthday. Our cake designer was easy to work with, showed me plenty of pictures, and made sure to go over details of the cake. And here is the best part- they accommodated me 5 days before the party! (and it was a 3 tier cake.. Not an easy task) All of our guests raved about the cake. It looked even better than what I envisioned, and it tasted better than it looked. :) Thank you, Legacy Cakes! We will definitely be back.
Couldn't be happier. Had them do the cake for my daughter's 1st birthday and I am very glad I went with them. The cake looked beautiful, just the way I had described. The chocolate flavor tasted amazing and the cake wasn't too sweet except for the butter cream frosting. Everyone loved the cake, both the look and the flavor. Will surely recommend and visit them again in future. The staff is very courteous and helps you with the design too. Thank you so much for the lovely cake!

Ordered a strawberry cake with strawberry filling. Not only was the cake adorable, it was super delicious. The design on the cake was exactly what I asked for, without a picture being exchanged. Oh my goodness!!! If ever there has been a cakery wizard who can not only make a moist and fabulous tasting cake as well as a beautiful one, it's Legacy Cakes in Grapevine!!! The cakes my family has had from there have spoiled us from ever wanting to have them made from anywhere else. Also love their customer service who make it a point to listen well and produce exactly what we want every time!
What a quaint cake bakery located on Main St in Grapevine, TX.. Th husband surprised me by stopping by Legacy Cakes to pick up my birthday cake before headed to the big celebration with my children. The cake my husband had them make was enough for 35 people and there were only 12 of us so we had a lot left over. The cake was red velvet with butter-creme frosting. Decorated with teal and aquamarine designs and flowers and all my families names. So sweet and thoughtful! We ordered Halloween cupcakes for my sisters baby shower, and they did deliver! The cakes were delicious black velvet! The decorations were on point, the last time I saw decorations that good, they were on the food channel! The service was professional and friendly and the ambiance was inviting! My family has deemed this our new cupcake place anytime we are in need of some delicious mini cakes! read more

I searched high and low for a bakery that could create Harry Potter baby shower cookies for my sister's baby shower and I am so happy I went with Legacy Cakes in Grapevine. My experience with Legacy Cakes started out very hopeful and optimistic but unfortunately, the end result left me just the opposite. I appreciate their ability to accommodate me last minute (5 days before the event) when my first choice bakery couldn't. However, last minute doesn't mean the integrity of the design should be compromised or I should have to accept a lower quality product, which is exactly what I was presented with. This is especially when they happily assured me that there would be no issue in completing my cake. When I picked up the cake, the design had brown from one part of the design smeared on a white part. The icing was raised and uneven near a bow placed on the bottom of the cake. I actually had to spend money to buy sprinkles to cover up this spot, which is outrageous considering how much I paid for the cake to begin with. If I wanted to decorate my own cake, I wouldn't have paid someone else to do it. Also, the strap on one of the fondant baby shoes broke before the event even started. The mistakes might seem minor but considering this was a very simple cake design and these mistakes were on the only two design elements of the cake, it's pretty ridiculous. I didn't choose this bakery just because I couldn't find anywhere else. If I was that desperate I could've got a cookie cake or something from Walmart for less than half the price. I chose this bakery because they have a wide variety of beautiful cakes posted on their website and multiple social media accounts. This was important to me as the consultation was over the phone and I couldn't look at any of their work in person. It's unfortunate they didn't care enough about my cake for it to be worthy enough to be posted to their Facebook or Instagram. read more

A huge thanks to the staff at Legacy for helping me make my friend's 30th birthday party a success. The staff was so nice and helped me come up with the perfect design for the occasion. Everyone at the party raved not only about the design but the amazing flavor! The almond cake with cream cheese filling and vanilla buttercream was perfect!
