Two tier cake with the chocolate fudge and white Carmel cake and pearl design

I highly recommend Barnett sweets. When I first message them they were very quick to respond and were super upfront about all their costs and information involving decorations and flavors. We went with a two tier cake with their chocolate fudge and white Carmel flavors and let me tell you they were delicious. Everyone loved the cakes. I personally loved the white Carmel because it wasn't overly sweet but it was just enough. I will definitely use them again in the future!

    Finally! Espresso in Krum!

Ahh rejoice! A coffee shop with yummy cupcakes and cookies in Krum? Two minutes from my house?? Thank you god. They opened up about a month or so before the pandemic hit. I was able to go in everyday and get a coffee, and sometimes a muffin. Thankfully, they have many different espresso options, lattes, frappes, macchiatos and so on. They also have a variety of flavored syrups to chose from, as well as different milks etc. This is a legit coffee shop, a first for this town! Additionally, they offer several different cupcakes, muffins and cookies everyday. They have a few flavors that are a mainstay everyday, but they also have a weekly special flavor, that gets voted on by customers on their Facebook page. I have tried a couple different cupcakes and they were very moist, with a good frosting that wasn't too sweet. I also have had a variety of muffins, they are great for breakfast. Surprisingly enough, my favorite sweet offered here are the frosted cookies. They usually change the design weekly or so but they are soft and very tasty! It's worth noting that they also have a gluten free cupcake as well as a sugar free option everyday. Throughout this pandemic, they have had to change stuff up and adapt. Luckily, they quickly were able to figure out a way to do curbside service, as well as delivery. (Free local delivery if you spend over 20$, five dollars If not). The website/ordering system is easy enough to navigate, however I will admit that the curbside service is a tad slow. It usually takes about 20 minutes or so to come out, however this is something they have had to do because of the pandemic, and are usually very fast when you order inside. Additionally, they have been offering dinners every weeknight to try to make some money back during these times. The menu is posted on Facebook every week, as well as their website. I'm sure when everything goes back to normal, they won't do meals every night, but it's highly likely they will offer dinner once a week as they have gained quite a following. We ordered a ham meal one night and it was really good! The rolls that came with it were absolutely to die for. They also have cakes and cupcakes that you can special order for birthdays/weddings etc. I haven't had a need to order anything like that since they have opened but I have seen some of the cakes they have done and I can attest- the ladies working here are professionals, and really do some stunning work. So local Krummies, if you haven't stopped by yet, shame on you your missing a out on a great new local biz. They have WiFi and many tables to do work. Denton peeps, I highly recommend you come out to Krum when things go back to normal, grab dinner at Portofinos or Miguelitos and swing by Barnett's after for dessert!

Custom-- Large drip and two shots. Look at all of that crema!

Krum has needed this for a long time. They have a very small menu, of fresh-baked good cupcakes and muffins ready to walk out with . The coffee is excellent. It's all made from a lighter roast, and is really good, made by a barrista who knows what he's about. I was impressed. The space is lovely and wide open, with high ceilings made of old tin, remembering that the building is a century old. It's pleasant, and is a nice place to BE, to have an excellent cuppa before going back out. My new favorite is a large cup of drip, with two shots of espresso (he pulls them with lots of crema) dumped in. Yeah, other places call it a "Redeye," but this is a lighter roast, and it's nice. They have WiFi and tea. Super-friendly staff. Family-owned. Oh, and as a surprise, I was shocked the other day that they had some keto offerings which were good to eat.

Red velvet and lemon cupcakes(not the donuts).

I wish that wasn't the case but I'll not be back. It seems like such a simple thing to double check the spelling when you write anything on a cake. How are you still in business yet you don't seem to care about the quality of your craft? Edit: and we cut into the cake tonight and it's not even what I ordered hahaha. Ridiculous! I ordered a German Chocolate Cake but received a chocolate cake with fudge icing. I should have suspected something was about to go wrong when I had to coach the girl who took my order that I wanted German Chocolate when she asked what kind of icing I needed. Either she doesn't know or doesn't care. When I called today they wouldn't give me a discount for the name misspelling and I didn't even know we would have even more problems. Candy Haven, you should take more care with what you make and treat your customers better.

I am a customer who was profiled and discriminated against on the basis of disability this morning…read moreby the Store Manager, Allen Cosby. When entering, I was wearing a heavy coat, which was quite warm. I also had a backpack, on top of the items I was carrying. While shopping, I placed all of these items (coat, backpack) into a shopping cart to ease the strain on my lower back and abdomen (I have a hernia). I then purchased some oatmeal, peanut butter, and mixed greens. Immediately after the using the self-checkout, I realized I forgot to check if a brand of rice was on sale. I pushed my cart- including the items I had already purchased, double-bagged- to the rice aisle. After loading the rice into the shopping cart (not into any plastic bag, mind you) I was immediately approached by Store Manager Allen Cosby, who said "you can't just be walking around here like that with your bags in the cart." I stated that I was carrying them in the cart because I had a hernia condition. He said that I still can't be "walking around like this is your home" and that I need just "get in and get out"- despite the fact that I had only been in the store a few minutes- and that I was causing too much work for the loss prevention team. I returned the rice I was going to purchase to the shelf, and returned the items I had just purchased. Prior to this incident, I had frequently patronized the store, and never been accused of anything like this. Although most of the employees are nice, it appears that management has a different idea on how to treat customers. As Kroger Store Manager, Allen Cosby put it, "I see you here everyday, you're a homeless jack that don't have a job, so I'm going to go ahead and have you removed right now."
