I was looking for dessert shops in the area and found this pie shop. This shop was a little difficult to find even though I had read some other reviews indicating that it was behind the bank. Anyways, I found out that the bakery was pretty small and the employees were quite helpful and patient when I selected my pie. I found that the pies there rotate on a seasonal basis. I grabbed a slice of Blueberry Streusel Pie. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this was quite good. It was packaged appropriately and I was given another bag to hold the container in. I'm definitely a fan and plan to revisit to try additional pies! This place is such a gem, and I recommend you visit them! read more

Hands down, best pie in DFW, possibly best pie I have ever had! I consider myself a bit of a pie connoisseur, so I don't give a 5 star review for pie lightly. I found myself craving some pie in the afternoon, so I did a quick Google search to see if anywhere near my work office sold pie. I found Everett & Elaine listed, and quickly decided that's what I wanted. I did have a tough time finding the location, it is located in an unassuming strip center that looks more like offices behind the bank. However, I called and the man that answered their phone was able to guide me to them. The shop was literally about to close for the day, so I was very grateful to be able to pop in to get something. I ended up getting 3 slices of pie: key lime, pumpkin cream, and buttermilk, as well as 3 cookies: chocolate chip, smore's, and snickerdoodle. I had the key lime pie first, and from the first bite I was in love! This is the key lime pie of my dreams, y'all. Creamy and firm, almost the texture of a good cheesecake, with fluffy whip and a gooey graham cracker crust. The lime flavor was spot on: tangy and tart, with just enough sweetness to temper the pucker. I savored every bite. I took the other items home to enjoy over the next couple of days and to share with my husband. The pumpkin cream pie was just as good as the key lime, and so unique! I've never had anything like it. Normally pumpkin pie is dense and heavy, but this was light and creamy, and the flavors were like an explosion of fall in my mouth. I plan to get one of these to freeze for Thanksgiving. The buttermilk pie was our least favorite, it was overly sweet, cloying, really, and a little dense. It was still good, just not great. The cookies were all awesome, and the smore's was our favorite! The only thing that would improve the smore's cookie is if they took a brulee torch to the marshmallow after the cookie is baked to give it that toasted flavor, that would really send it over the top! Its tucked away in a weird strip outlet behind a bank building. Youll see the logo when you walk up straight to the door, since all the tress and shrubbery block it. This is more of a manufacturing center rather than a sitdown restaurant, but Im glad they are open to the public. They serve by the slice or whole pie. I like that arent giving you a slice that fits in your hand. I was debating between the key lime and banana, but I ultimately chose the banana cream pie. Its certainly not sweet like birthday cake icing or straight sugar. This is european sweet and grandmas would like this with their tea or coffee. I personally could have had a touch more sweetness or stronger fragrance of the fruit or pie crust flavor. The bananas are real and not artificial, but they also don't taste ripe. I like that the crust is for sure made from scratch, but I wish it had more of a deep browned butter taste. Our favorites are the classic chocolate chip, chocolate chip pecan, s'mores, and snickerdoodle - but you honestly can't go wrong with any of them. They're always fresh, warm, soft, and gooey! I came here on a weeknight and wanted to pickup something for a group. They had a wide selection if goodies ranging from single serve items to entire cakes, ready to go. The display is amazing and really gets you to want everything. I had a hard time deciding and ended up with a fluffy cheesecake. The presentation and box were great. It was decent and was a good size for the price for sure. However, I felt like it tasted pretty bland. There was a lot of fluff and you could tell it was fresh, made with top notch ingredients, but it tasted too airy. I ordered the blue berry and all i have to say is.... i've had better. Maybe it's not blueberry season? Maybe bad batch? With so many options at Legacy Hall for desserts, this one stood out with its display of pies and baked goods set against a white, clean backdrop. I wasn't disappointed. We tried the chocolate ice box pie that had a hint of Nutella and it was great. The crust was a little hard but the actual pie filing and cream topping was delicious. I also got a crin-amon bun to go which is their cronut/cinnamon bun that has a cream topping. The bun was very tasty and rich. The glaze? Almost too sweet and I wish it would have been a cream cheese glaze, but all in all, it was pretty good. I would go back and try their other items. read more

EAT EVERYTHING!!!! I stopped in on a whim and literally went back 3 days in a row for the Bourbon Pecan Pie. I should have just bought the whole pie. The prices are decent so you WILL BE RETURNING...trust me. I don't know what they put in that Bourbon Pecan, but it is addictive as hell. I have been to both Pie Emporium and Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop. Nothing against either shop as they are both great in their own specialties, however, neither has a pecan pie that compares with E&E's Bourbon Pecan or E&E's Tiramisu Pie. That's another specialty that if you like tiramisu, you will LOVE this. It is the lightest yet densest and moist cake with a cheesecake cream layer of some sort. I ordered cookies for my daughter's birthday ! The request was that the cookies had to be vegan to accommodate a classroom party. Sugsr cookies with the Powerpuff girls characters . My concern was that vegan cookies would be blah and the taste would be an issue . When these cookies arrived I was impressed ! They tasted so GREAT! The presentation !, the size of the cookies !everything ! Even the boys loved them . Most kids didn't want to eat them they wanted to take them home to show off to their parents . Birthday sweet-tooth. Decided to grab a little treat after lunch and a treat it was! Tried the pecan pie and so glad we did. I have a handful of sweets that I crave and this is among them. Always looking for recommendations and often disappointed when I try them. I had no expectations today, but was totally stunned on that first bite. Why had I not heard more about this place before today? A buddy told me I would like it, but I have become cautious before optimistic of recommendations for sweets. If you prefer the overly sweet and overly gooey pecan filling, then this may not satisfy. However if you like it slightly buttery, a thick flaky crust, with a hint of pecan in the flavor. They are overall pretty good and a decent choice if you are looking for dessert in Legacy Hall. Their cookies and pies are all ok, some very good others not so much. We've tried it enough times now where I feel comfortable reviewing and giving it 3 stars which is good but again not great, I like Emporium better overall but to each their own. The Good: The bourbon pecan pie is probably my favorite thing they have and it's really good. We have ordered the s'mores cookie several times now and it's apparently good as well as there is never any left for me after my wife gets a hold of it. The Bad: Many of their pies can be hit or miss, I wasn't a fan of the portion size of the blueberry. What really gets me and makes this 3 stars instead of 4 is their Tiramisu "Cheesecake". I am not a fan, the tiramisu flavor is there but I really feel like it's false advertising. In the stand it looks like a cheesecake, when you order it (as different people we have been with including us have been tricked several times now when ordering) there isn't any disclaimer that it isn't really what you would expect when ordering a cheesecake. It's an angel food cake, it's actual cake and not a cheesecake. Very disappointing especially when ordering to go and getting home, I would have ordered a pie or something else. I wish they would advertise it as angel food cake or at least give a heads up when it's ordered it's not a traditional cheesecake like 90% of Americans would expect when ordering a 7 dollar slice of angel food cake. read more

The linzer cookie has strawberry jam in the middle and that was the only flavor...but you could barely taste it. The s'mores has good texture and was soft but again no flavor. Just so bland. Absolutely the best pecan pie I have ever had. Got the bourbon one which was so goooood, not sure if I can get the classic pecan pie. As one yelper had mentioned, this is not the usual overly sweet gooey kind of pie but less sweet and a lot more flavorful with a buttery crust. The price is a little steep at $6.50 for a slice but I guess its the location that is driving the prices at legacy hall. read more

I have not physically been into the store so this review is based solely on the product. I used to have a huge sweet tooth but after cutting back on sugar about 4 years ago I find that desserts have to be rather extraordinary for me to go out of my way. I particularly love pie and it can be so hard to get it just right. My husband brought me a slice of Everette and Elaine's apple pie home after a trip to buy furniture in Plano and even reheated at home it was exceptional. Crust to filling ratio, the texture and flavor of both filling and crust were perfect. I would have eaten a half a pie if I had it! Wishing we lived closer I sought out their baked goods at the Dallas Farmers Market in the Market Provisions stand. Sadly they did not have pie but the cookies looked good enough to gamble on (I am typically NOT a cookie person but the hubs is so had to return the favor). Well, the s'mores cookie was gone before we left the market. With lightly crisped edges, a chewy interior and not overly sweet it was perfectly rich and delicious. I wish they sold their pies at the farmers market but for now the cookies will suffice and it is otherwise worth the drive to Plano for the pie! read more

Picked up a slice of blueberry and a slice of apple and all I can say is OMG! So delicious. I'm so particular about pies and both of these had such great flavor and texture. The crumb on the blueberry gave it such a nice taste and the apple had the right amount of sweetness and tart. I will definitely be making my Thanksgiving pie order from them today! read more

Got a piece of pie and cookie to go the other night and it was sooo good! They both came on recommendation from the man and woman working! They were so incredibly friendly, they made me want to buy more, the pie and cookie were delicious. We had the s'mores cookie and a piece of coconut cream pie and it was so good i came back the next night after dinner next door at haywire and i guess it was too close to closing time and the women working said they weren't selling anymore at 1045 when i believe they close at 11. They were really rude and rolled their eyes at us when we asked to order something, such a stark juxtaposition from the two working the evening prior. Honestly the friendliness of the two the night before was what brought me back for the second night in a row so was disappointed to have had such a varying experience this time.
