    Red bean taiyaki
    Meree C.

This place is always a hit or miss. The one thing that's consistent is the lack of customer service. No one greets you or offers their help when trying to operate their purchase system. I tried on multiple occasions to order and never was offered help. The taiyaki are not consistent. Some great and crunchy some mushy and not edible. They could definitely do better. I won't be coming back. I'll make that extra drive somewhere else for better service and consistency (the good kind).

The lavender milk tea is a new flavor and it is delicious! I'm so glad the barista suggested it to me and gave me a sample. The sample was already perfectly sweet so I asked him to not add any sweetness. The least amount you can set on the kiosk is 25%. The kiosk was slightly unintuitive so I has to ask for help. I'm keeping my rating 5 stars because the service was so good. The recommendations, the samples, the help was all awesome. There wasn't any comfortable seating and that would be my biggest complaint. We sat at the barstools and our necks and backs were aching after a while. Definitely recommend comfier seats. Will be back again for their lavender milk tea. I didn't like the bubbles - too sweet and it was a texture I didn't prefer. Their fish pancakes were good. We got the red bean and cheese. The cheese one was really good, the red bean one had a refrigerator taste. This seems to be a newer shop so with a few tweaks I think it's going to be a great addition to the growing Denton community.

If you are a UNT student and have a craving for something sweet, stop by Taiyaki Sweets. Not only do they have really delicious teas, but they have delicious sweets like the Nutella-filled Taiyaki, which is the best warm snack for a cold day.

Love this little spot on Fry street for a quick snack or boba! The interior is super cute/decorated and there are kiosks for ordering to speed up the process. Owner and workers are always friendly and the place is always crowded so be ready to wait a few minutes if you're there during peak hours. There is also limited seating but lots of standing room and bathrooms. The Nutella and Custard Taiyaki are delicious, but my all time favorite has to be the Oreo! I also tried the Strawberry Tea with a Green Tea base and added Mango Popping Boba. I always get my drinks 75% sweet because 100% is WAYY too sweet for me (75% is recommended). Overall, would definitely recommend for anyone looking to try some new sweets :)

I popped out here on Friday evening and was absolutely blown away by this dessert spot! When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the friendliest staff. The interior decorations are really well done. There's a nice background on the wall with a light-up sign if you are into that. They also had 2 samples of drinks that you can try which were both fantastic. The milk tea sample was sweet, but you can adjust how much sweetness you want in your drink when you order it. I ended up going with the pink drink and it was one of the best drinks I've ever had. I'm not really a fan of boba, but this drink was so refreshing. It's the perfect drink to have as summer winds down. If you're looking for a bubble tea drink or a great dessert, then this is the spot for you! I highly recommend checking it out and trying the pink drink :)

How unique and cute! This place opened up recently in Fry street and never seen anything like it! I first love the vibe when I first walked in. The grass wall with the led sign, the music, and the most friendliest owner! Because the store is still new it took a while for our items to come out but no worries its worth the wait! The best Taiyaki is the cheese one! I always had sweet red bean taiyaki and never new you could make it savory! I am a cheese lover so I could be bias but it was soo delicious! They make every thing by order and nothing is premade. They have other dessert options too like boba drinks and ice cream :) Another pro is that they open late! Perfect for UNT students to stop by for a late night snack or study snack! There isn't much seating inside the store but its very spacious so when the weather is nice you can just stand around and hang with friends.

Cute interior design and concept. Tried 5 different taiyakis and here's the breakdown of what a friend and I thought: Red bean 8/10 Not too sweet and filled with actual red beans instead of an artificial paste Nutella 7/10 Would've paired really well with ice cream Mozz and cheddar 7/10 Pretty much a grilled cheese but in stuffed fish form, the cheese to bread ratio was a bit much Oreo 2/10 Extremely dry, would not recommend Custard 2/10 Very artificial and bland

Ice cream case and they make the taiyakis on the spot!

SUMMARY: Freshly made taiyaki. What could be nicer than that on a chilly night? :) BACKGROUND: We're still getting our feet wet and after a great meal at Schuck Me, I decided we'd go get some hot dessert. I've heard about Taiyaki Sweets (TS) so off we went and visited. ATMOSPHERE: As you would expect, it had a hippish sort of Asian-themed vibe, with K-pop music playing that night. There was a decent amount of people patiently waiting for their food in this clean environment. FOOD: We ordered two kinds of taiyaki with no ice cream. I ordered the red bean one, which is my fave. It was pretty good! Now I'll have to say that I've had much better in LA, Japan, and Korea, but alas, I'm here in Denton and this is the closest freshly made taiyaki to us. RETURN VISIT? Yes! We probably won't come out to this part of Denton just for to eat dessert, but if we're in the area and still have room for dessert, we'll come again.

I rarely write reviews, but we stopped by Taiyaki Sweets last week and were not disappointed! Their taiyaki had a crispy outside and soft, chewy inside. My favorite is mozzarella and cheddar taiyaki! I saw the employee made them with Tillamook cheddar and a whole babybel mozz! The cheese pull is amazing I also like their taro boba. I asked for 25% sweetness and it was perfect. My husband got 100% and that's a little bit sweet. The employees were nice and friendly. It's a cute place that also sell trinkets and demon slayer goods.

    Mozz and Cheddar Taiyakis

I have been to this place twice. It is so good. I prefer savory things so I got the two taiyakis with mozz and cheddar. Crispy and golden outside and gooey mozz/cheddar cheese. Great for a quick snack. This place would be perfect during the cold and the cheese taiyakis will be good with tomato soup.

Cute shop by UNT, perfect for grab and go! I really enjoyed their taiyaki--mozz and cheddar . The batter is super crispyyyy. I recommend their boba too it is really soft and chewy. There was a girl who helped us out and she was so sweet and helpful.

Cute store in a perfect location by Fry Street! The workers are nice and there are free samples for you to try. I ordered the winter melon milk tea that was a sample I tasted. I like that you can customize how sweet your drink will be.

This place just opened up on Fry and I wish I had this while I was still in Denton!! First of all, what a great location especially when I'm craving sweets after going out. The owner is super nice and very accommodating. All staff is still training, so the wait might be long but it's definitely worth. There's a menu full of different asian sweets, as well as a "croffle" -- and interesting blend of a waffle and croissant that you can get in different flavors. If you order here, make sure you ask if you can get something less sweet, if you're not big on super sweet desserts. A lot of the desserts I had were SUPER sweet (still good tho!) and I wish I would've gotten them less sweet. Overall, the place is aesthetic with a huggeeee grass wall and the desserts were amazing. Try this place out if you're in Denton!

On this morning, quite a few two-tops were available. Fortunately, there was no need to sit by the bar as those stools had no backs. I ordered the Classic Breakfast. The buttermilk pancakes, of which I barely finished half, were very delicious. The sausage patties were equally delightful. The same could not be said of the syrup which congealed as it poured. Although the fried eggs had a pleasant taste, I failed to be more precise on how they were to be cooked as the yolk was liquified. When I ordered the Holiday Brew drip coffee, I wished the cashier had suggested the Bottomless Drip. As I usually drink more than a single cup, I could have saved some money. Regardless, the coffee had a very pleasant taste. When gratuity was requested, it would have been very beneficial to know for what I was tipping? When I ordered off the breakfast menu, the price was not for the raw ingredients but the cost of it being made. The same with ordering drip coffee. When I saw the silverware by the cream and coffee sweetener, I expected to grab my own utensils. As it was my initial visit, the sign to bus my own table was totally unexpected. It definitely explained why there were a lot of crumbs on the table. Since the sign was near the back, it would have been easily missed if I had not visited the restroom.
