Polite staff, and yummy food. I ordered the lasagna. It came out piping hot. If you like yours super cheesy this is not for you.

Old-school red sauce Italian places are becoming as rare as finding a parking spot downtown, but this place? This place is a gem. Sadly, it was almost empty for lunch on a Thursday (what gives, people?!). I had scoped out the menu while driving by one day and spotted something that immediately caught my East Coast heart: a veal parm sub. Or as we call it back home, a "grinder." Now, I haven't seen a veal parm sub on a menu in 15 years, so naturally, I bookmarked it for lunch the following week like it was a national holiday. We walked in around 12:45, and there was only one other table occupied--perfect for people who enjoy elbow room with their marinara. We were seated right away and ordered the Caesar salad and, of course, the veal parm sub to split. Our waitress/hostess (multi-talented!) brought over warm bread and butter, which I tried so hard to resist, knowing what was coming next. The Caesar salad? It had that perfect homemade dressing with a nice anchovy kick, and the lettuce was crisp enough to hold its own. For $9, it was a huge portion, and honestly, if you threw some chicken on there, it'd make a great lunch all on its own. BUT let me tell you about that veal parm sandwich--it took me right back to my childhood outside of Boston. The veal was crispy, slightly chewy, and the mozzarella? It was practically cascading out of the soft roll in glorious cheese waterfalls. I'm telling you, it'll be hard to order anything else after that sandwich. Although, the Italian beef and eggplant grinders are also calling my name. This place isn't fancy, and that's exactly what makes it so special. I bet their nightly pasta dishes are top-notch too. So do yourself a favor--grab a grinder, forget your fancy pretensions, and just enjoy the old-school goodness.

I don't recommend Joe's if you're going to take your kids- is NOT kids-friendly! Saturday evening around 5:30pm we went to eat we were 3 adults and 2 kiddos (age 7 and 8) they were laughing and the owner was upset. Obviously as mom we tried to explain them to keep it low. After eating maybe 40 minutes they turn our lights off so we understood it was time to ask for the check.

I had an amazing experience here. I felt like I was eating at home. We had a wonderful woman serving our larger ground and I have nothing but praises. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was everything I could've wanted. This place definitely deserves more business than it gets.

Nice family owned place. Most dinners under $20, and portions were generous. Would definitely go back. Try the mini cannoli's!

The place has a variety of seating, is clean, and isn't too loud. There were a lot of people studying and working. I didn't have the best experience. They had their Fall drinks written on the menu and then after explaining to me what the Johnny cakes latte tastes like, they told me it wasn't available until Tuesday, which was misleading. I tried to order a seasonal peach tea drink, and they told me they were out of it. At this point, I was frustrated and got the golden latte, which tasted awful. It was so ginger-y and not smooth at all. It tasted like the equivalent of a tough-to-get-down juice shot. I ordered a breakfast veggie sandwich, which wasn't bad, but my friend and I both ordered it for dine-in, and for some reason mine came out in a to-go box. This was super odd and there wasn't an apology or anything. The sandwich was okay - the avocados weren't ripe yet and were kind of hard. The brioche was good, but $10 for something I could throw together at home in 5 mins was unimpressive. Overall, I won't be back. Ascension in Frisco has seriously the best service, with an expanded menu, and coming here was so subpar and disappointing.

We arrived starving, and the menu had something to make everyone happy. It was busy, but we were happy to sit at the long communal table (which was entirely empty at the time), so we were seated immediately. It's in a strip mall, so parking is not a worry, and even though the place was hopping, it was clean, welcoming, and we were able to carry on a table conversation without a problem. The scrambled eggs and waffle were particularly good. I usually order fried eggs, but First Watch does an amazing scramble. Servers were attentive and considerate.

We opted in for the fall specials -- the maple bacon croissant and the honey chipotle chicken hash. My Fiance couldn't speak more highly of the croissant. The bacon looked sticky and peppery, and there was a jam on it as well that seemed to enhance the flavor. My hash was so freaking good! Full of flavor, great portion and you can't beat the price. My least favorite part of the meal was ironically the chicken though. Had kind of a weird taste or maybe I just had a bad piece. Idk. I would def return to this location! It was cozy and gave an effortless fall vibe.

Even better right?? Well welcome to Parks Coffee! I've driven past this place so many times on PGBT that I googled them and saw they offered tours. So I immediately booked one and have to say it was well worth the cost. You get to see the behind the scenes and understand more about the process of making coffee. There is even a tour you can request in which you can roast your own bag (details on their website as it may change from when I post this). At the end of the tour you get to try a sampling of their single origin coffees that are paired with bite size pastries from a local bakery, La Casita, that were delicious! The pairings really brought out the notes in the coffee and even I felt like a coffee sommelier! Plus after the tour you get a discount at the coffee shop and it applies to their sweet shirts. Overall I highly recommend checking them out and taking the tour. Their coffees were great and the tour was enlightening.

The business closes in the early afternoon, so aim for a morning visit to get your breakfast on. The inside is on the small side for a breakfast place. It seems to cater most to small gatherings of 2-4 people. We have always been seated right away, but they do have a large entryway where you can stand and wait for a table. Our server was ready with menus and took our drink order right away. My husband was thirsty and emptied his glass in mere seconds. The waiter was too kind. When he returned to refill our glasses, he decided to leave the pitcher of tea at our table so that my husband would have access anytime. He was delighted! Our food came out promptly. I ordered way too much! I got the Monterrey Eggs Benedict served on a jalapeño corn pancake instead of an English muffin. I'm really not fond of the corn pancake as the base for the Benedict, so I plan to ask for a substitution or a different dish next time. I also got a side pancake with fruit. I couldn't eat it all. It was delicious, but it was a lot of food. The dining room has a few TVs that were playing video of natural disasters. I found it disturbing, but like any train wreck, you can't help but rubberneck to see how it turns out. If I could suggest one change, it would be turn these TVs off and uninstall them. If they must keep them, find something more peaceful and relaxing to play on them. We don't go out to eat often, but this breakfast establishment is on our regular rotation of places we frequent.
