My friends had gotten them place as a recommendation. We arrived for an early dinner and found there to be mostly empty. But by the end of the meal, just about every table was full. Orders are placed at the register and they bring them to your table. We shared appetizers including the Mushroom arancini, and Caprese salad. Arancini was very smell but crispy and cheesy. We enjoyed the freshness and size of the caprese salad. For entrees we shared their Roma caprese panini, Primo panini, Florenza smash burger and Prosciutto & fig pizza in a full size which was more than enough food for a feast. My favorite was the pizza while the sandwiches were also tasty but a tad on the dry side. For dessert we got their Lemon berry mascarpone cake, Pistachio ricotta cake and Honey gelato. Everyone enjoyed their cakes but we found the gelato to resemble a prominent vanilla taste rather than honey. Overall, we have great experience. The staff were friendly and personable. Food was tasty and hearty (other than arancini). Would come again.

This is a very cute cafe located right in the east end! I got the Caprese and pepperoni pizza. The pizza itself was very light and fluffy. The tomato was very fresh complimenting the cheese nicely. The pepperoni pizza was delicious. The hot honey was my favorite part. The service was pretty fast. They had plenty of seating but we decided to take the pizza and eat it by the harbor which was only a 5 min walk. I would love to come here again to try the pastries and gelato.

Had the need one evening for pizza but wanted a good pizza if that makes sense. I avoided the recommendations. The hotel gave me for local places to get a pizza. I did a little research and came up with this place and I'm so glad I did. It would've cost too much to Uber there eat an Uber back so I opted to do Uber eats for the first time . I called this place and had a few questions in the gentleman answered. The phone was so very polite and extremely helpful. . I wish I would've visited the restaurant maybe next time . Let's just say the pizza is amazing full of flavor. The crust was done to perfection and it was rather fast on a delivery, which I was very impressed with for the first time using Uber eats .

The gelato was so good! We ate it all before I could get a picture, but the tiramisu and lemon ice were great. There's some seating in the back and also a tv playing soccer if you wanted to get a drink and hang out.

    Solo Proper Pepperoni Pizza

Was staying at a hotel near the Boston Airport and wanted some pizza to take back to my hotel. Ordered the proper pepperoni and it was delicious! Reasonably priced and really good. Highly recommend!

Gelato sourced from Italy. Pistachio, chocolate/hazelnut and coconut have me in chokehold.

UPDATE: Important fact about Florenza - the owner is adamant about clean and high quality ingredients. I was in the corner out of site reading a book one day during the slow break and heard him going in on a conversation about the quality of the ingredients and meats he must have to serve to his customers. It made me think...most any dough in the US causes my knees to hurt. I can happily eat my way through Europe with zero issues. I realized I eat at Florenza so much because it's good and I'm not in pain afterwards. I asked the owner about the flour and meats. They bake their dough with flour from Italy and the meats have NO NITRATES! Great food, amazing service, clean ingredients, modern vibe and chill ambiance...love this place. GO TO ORDERS: Florenza Italian panini, Funghi Solo pizza and the Eastie. My freezer is never without a pint of gelato.

There was a line, but it moved quickly - we waited about 10 minutes total. We tried several things: pistachio, limoncello, pecan caramel cannoli and the pecan caramel cheesecake. I didn't even think I liked cannoli at all based on a previous experience, but WOW - these changed my perspective. They were sweet without being overwhelming. The cheesecake was delicious as well. Heads up, as other reviews have mentioned, it's cash only. Luckily, my mom is old school and always carries cash with her. I wish I lived in Boston - I'd love to come back to try their other offerings.

I guess I lucked out because when I went (Wednesday, around 3 PM), there was virtually no line. I heard it can get super busy, so beware. This place is cash only, and the service is really straight-to-the-point. I guess they just want people in and out quickly. There's not really anywhere you can sit, so definitely just get what you want and go. The bakery itself is kept very simple and minimal. Sweets are displayed behind the glass, and there are plenty of signs along the wall that display what they have to offer. There were a lot of different goodies, but I noticed that people really only ordered the cannolis. I got a singular chocolate chip cannoli, and I think it really threw the person helping me off that I only got one to try. Pastries are packaged in a nice blue box and securely tied with a long string. The cannoli itself tasted pretty nice, but I wish there were more chocolate chips other than the ones that coated the areas of visible filling. I liked that the shell was crunchy and flaky. I can't say much because this was my first time having a cannoli, so I have no point of comparison. Not sure if I can eat a lot of it in one sitting.

I love the fact that the cannolis are made to order leaving you with a crispy shell everybody. They even offer many cannolis for those like myself who don't have a large sweet tooth. The filling people might find on the Tad sweeter side in which I would recommend the pistachio or almond topping if not, go traditional with the chocolate chip. The location is adorable with a variety of pastry options, notably, the moon cookie! The service was great and attentive, and if you get the chance I would recommend sitting and enjoying a nice coffee or tea versus waiting in the line. In comparison to Boa's, it was very close for our party, but the fresh shell put it on top. I will state that Boba's cream filling was more of my style with the less of the sweet kick. Either way you can't go wrong either location, but the additional pastries offered at modern along with the sitdown option was also another touch. Don't be timid by the line it moves rapid and it's well worth it!

My previous favorite was Amorino, but I think this place is a step above. The texture of the ice cream was superb--exquisitely smooth and creamy, yet not as sticky as Amorino. Coconut: Coconut ice cream in the U.S. is always legendary, but this was the pinnacle of the legendary. The aroma of coconut and milk was the richest I've ever tasted, and it felt very natural, with just the right amount of sweetness. Naked Yogurt: Similar in design to Amorino's Yogurt & 0% Fat Yogurt, both were pure, rich, and unsweetened yogurt, but this one had a more intense milky flavor. Espresso Mascarpone: The signature flavor. The bittersweet aroma of espresso was distinct yet mellow, but the presence of mascarpone cheese is limited. Very refreshing. Other flavors: Pistachio had a rich pistachio flavor and was a safe choice; Tiramisu and Dulce de Leche were both a bit too sweet. From this perspective, Amorino seems to offer a more well-rounded experience, but I still prefer the surprising quality of this place. The sorbets were all decorated with fruit, making them especially beautiful. If you try too many samples, the staff might get a little annoyed. I was reminded after trying the fourth flavor, so I reluctantly stopped.

B3: One of their signature flavors, named for its blend of brown butter, brown sugar, and brownie. The ice cream was smooth and creamy, with the sweetness of the brown sugar and the nutty aroma of the brown butter blending harmoniously. Large chunks of brownie are interspersed throughout, their firm texture and slightly bitter dark chocolate contrasting beautifully with the ice cream, creating a layered effect. Deserving of the signature flavor! Earl Grey: Another signature flavor, but after tasting it for a while, I couldn't observe any tea flavor. I even wondered if the server had given me the wrong one The color didn't look like Earl Grey tea either. However, judging from the reviews, it probably does look like this. The milky flavor, though, was very rich. Burnt Caramel: It was my first time seeing "burnt caramel," which is essentially sugar caramelized to a higher temperature than caramel, resulting in a darker color and a richer, more intense bitterness. While I love bitterness, I felt it was a bit too much. Most importantly, the ice cream was noticeably stickier than the others, and the plastic scoop was too soft, making it difficult to scoop. Bourbon Street: Quite similar with B3, both using brown sugar and browned butter. However, the bourbon and praline made the overall flavor sweeter, lighter, and more in line with the classic creamy taste of ice cream. In other words, it was not as distinctive as the B3.
