Flor is a super cute, Argentinian coffee shop and bookstore in Georgetown! We got there like 45 minutes before closing and the upstairs bookstore was still packed with people. Unfortunately, their pastries were all sold out, so we just got a Caprese Empanada. It was delicious, albeit a bit small. I wish I had time to peruse their book options- next time! 8/10 would recommend, will have to come here when I'm in DC again.
Cute interior, great place for a date/studying/working, appreciate that the big table is a laptop-free space, outlets available, outdoor space available, friendly staff, and solid food and drinks! I've strangely had good luck finding parking nearby, too.
Lovely coffee shop + bookstore in Georgetown! Worked from here for on a rainy afternoon, enjoyed a delicious lunch + coffee and browsed their beautiful wall of books for sale. The cafe is counter service downstairs - place your order, grab your food and beverage, and go upstairs to find seating. I ordered the turmeric chicken bowl which was hearty, filling and delicious! I also got a lavender ube matcha special which was delicious. This spot is known for their matcha drinks, so give one a try, Fast WiFi, ample seating, and a lovely ambiance awaited me upstairs. I had a productive afternoon here and didn't even realize I'd stayed till closing time. A true neighborhood gem.
Originally came for their popular matcha, but 5 stars just for the Steak Empanada alone-authentic and genuinely Argentines make the best empanadas. I ate it so quick and will definitely be getting multiple and different types next time. Got a Berry Matcha which was good. Good quality matcha powder was used and they made the Berry cream fresh from scratch. It took some time to wait since they ran out of berry cream, but I didn't mind. The ambiance, vibe, and upstairs bookstore/seating area really seals the deal- it's such a hidden gem! Next time, I'll try more empanadas and perhaps an Alfajor (Argentine dulce de leche cookie). For sure will try their popular Dulce de Leche latte next time!
Pretty interesting flavor combos with their seasonal specials, but I'm unsure that I would pay for the Yuzu Matcha again (over $10 without tip...). Service was pretty standard and there's seating upstairs and at a patio level, but expect to have to wait to find availability during peak hours. Would recommend you to try this place once, but I don't think I would come here again just due to the price. It's great if you're feeling to buy a special drink, but if you'd just like a basic matcha, I would explore elsewhere.
Cute little cafe in Georgetown. There is an indoor area where you order your food and an outdoor area with tables that's outside. I believe they have another upstairs area but I didn't visit. I wouldn't advise being in a rush if you were to visit because it does take a little bit to get your food. I was SO excited to try the draft matcha at Flor--unfortunately when I came the machine wasn't working. No worries..I tried the regular iced matcha with vanilla anyways and it was delicious!! The staff are hipsters with Gen-Z vibes and music taste to match... completely opposite of the physical vibe of Flor in the best way. It's the coziest place that I'd love to spend all-day in. People are chatting, people are doing work, and I sat in the corner writing this Yelp review! There's books of all genres and an outdoor seating spot as well. I can't wait to return!!!
Bright and airy coffee shop-bookstore combo with a solid selection of both food and drinks Both hot food and pastries. The space is split between 3 floors. On the bottom floor there is a counter where you order your food, on the second floor there is a shared courtyard patio with a few other businesses, and on the 3rd floor is a stylish space with indoor seating that also doubles as a bookstore. The 3rd floor looked to be a great place to get some work done, but they did have policies limiting computer usage (which is fair since the space was fairly small) My fiance and I each tried a coffee, split an almond croissant, and I got a breakfast platter while she opted for a breakfast bowl. The coffee and food were both fair, but the bacon that came with mine was incredibly salty.

Their matcha is absolutely flawless, but the perks don't stop there. Beyond serving the best matcha in town, they also make some seriously delicious empanadas that are perfect for a morning bite. It has quickly become my favorite way to start the day. I love coming here during the week, but it's also a fantastic weekend spot for families. Upstairs, there is a lovely bookshop, complete with a dedicated kids' corner that keeps my little ones happily entertained while I enjoy my drink. Whether you are a matcha purist, a book lover, or a parent looking for a welcoming, kid-friendly neighborhood spot, this café is an absolute must-visit.

I don't think it's a Top 10 cafe in DC according to Beli, but I enjoyed the vibes of this place. When you walk upstairs, you see the book selection and more indoor seating. It wasn't too loud even though all the seats were taken. Overall, I give major props to the cute place and I would be open to trying their food the next time I'm here.
The food was good i enjoyed my pull BBQ pork empanada, the Marco salad and ice chai. The service was quick and efficient. The ambiance was nice. We ate outside and the weather was nice.
Warm smell of creamy pumpkin soup. Christmas tree lit in corner . friendly staff TOP NOTCH CORTADO. PERFECT TEMP not too hot. they use La Mazzaracco espresso machine, MAZZER grinder.... Makes me love georgetown even more ... great music. great books ... love this place
Finally visited this beautiful Buenos Aires-inspired cafe & bookstore! It is the perfect spot to grab a bite, check out a new book, and relax with friends. Their warm and community driven space focuses on delicious Argentinian flavors and nourishing seasonal dishes with a Latin flair. I especially loved their seasonal Dulce de Latte (perfectly sweet and balanced) and their beef ragu bowl. They have outdoor and indoor seating, complete with a bookstore upstairs with books and gifts in Spanish & English. They even host community events, which I am excited to check out.
OBSSESSED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR THIS PLACE. This cafe is the most whimsical calming place I've been too in DC. I believe it's an Argentinian cafe , with so much space. There lowest/ground floor is the order station and the floor above is the patio area and the 3rd floor is a bookstore dining area. That floor was my favorite! It's very cozy but also bright. Everything was perfect. I ordered a special drink and made it whimsy (which means they add sprinkles!). I also added a shot of espresso. I also got a mini Argentina croissant and it tasted extremely delicious! Apparently light syrup was added. The total costed $15.82. I think my drink was on the pricier end because the croissant costed $3. The workers were so sweet and took the time to explain to me what each pastry item was. It was overall a wonder place to visit and I plan visiting them again! read more
I was so excited to try this spot given the raving reviews. The interior is a bit of me and I loved it. The shop is located on a beautiful street with Georgetown. I didn't see pricing for the drinks in particular the dulce de leche latte which came out to $11-12. I probably would've ordered something different if that was the case. My latte fell short for me. The espresso was extremely bitter and I don't think it was extracted properly. The cold foam was delicious but it didn't help to mask the poor espresso. For the price, I'm wasn't too happy. read more

Flor's interior is lovely and light; the library setting on the 2nd floor is inviting, nice spot to have a coffee. Clearly, this is a favorite seating area for customers. And, bathrooms are sparkling clean. As it's a popular place, a line forms, of course, and the front space where ordering is done gets to be pretty crowded. Unfortunately, they had sold out of many food items that I wanted to try. I purchased a couple of pastries that were available, just okay. read more
The best beef empanada I've had in Washington, D.C.! Located just off M Street NW in Georgetown is an Argentinian coffee shop with a full coffee menu and food, including several kinds of empanadas. The owner is kind and passionate. The cafe is named after his wife. There's a downstairs where you order, a back patio, and a second floor with books for sale and plenty of seats for reading. It's a cozy place where you feel at home! read more
I loved Flor; such a comfortable space, wonderful food (the bun they use for their breakfast sandwich is outstanding!), and the people are so nice. In a world that tries to force paper cups on me, I appreciate nice porcelain and glass for my coffee. And books too! read more

YUM!! Went here with friends & there was a nice, long table for all of us to sit and enjoy our drinks. Staff were friendly, my matcha was delicious, and the building was absolutely adorable! Definitely going back. read more
Popular spot in Georgetown. Beware on weekends, drinks take awhile to come and seating is hard to find, though I will say there is quite a bit of it upstairs. I also like that you can order your food and drinks as well as purchase books upstairs and pick it up downstairs. I wasn't in love with the coffee or the food here but I'd go back and give it another try on a less crowded day. read more

Came on a quiet summer Friday morning (I imagine it is quite different on weekends when class is in session). It's lovely! Got the breakfast plate and a cold brew (both super good). Sat quietly for a morning break and I will be back. Highly recommend for good vibes. read more
What a great new addition to the neighborhood. There are a lot of coffee shops around Georgetown, but only a few actually know what they are doing. This place appears to be one of them. Being so close to M street offers tourists a good local option rather than Starbucks. Hopefully they can get the word out. read more
The first floor cafe counter was pretty chaotic when we went and had a long queue, but the reading + dining area was chill, and the outdoor public space was nice too. Not exactly a bookshop but mainly a cafe with a couple books and souvenirs for purchase. read more
Found this cute coffe shop/book store while exploring Georgetown and decided to grab a matcha and see how the vibe is there. There was a line nearly out of the door but I stood in it and was not disappointed at all! The service was so kind. The nitro matcha machine was down but my "normal" matcha was still delish! I checked out upstairs and there are books you can buy and plenty of seating available. There is even a kiosk to place your order upstairs. I can see myself returning to relax upstairs with a nice meal (all of their food looked amazing) and enjoy the peacefulness there. Im not sure if there was a way to get upstairs for people with mobility setbacks. I would call beforehand. There was also an outside seating area after going up one flight but the bookstore area is another flight up. read more

Such a gem of a coffee shop- the staff was extremely nice and explained what each of the fun Argentine pastries were before I bought a couple small ones. The outdoor space was large and well worth a hang in nice weather while the inside library area is a fun communal space (it was solidly full, but not too full). Come try it out! read more
Came here on a Saturday morning and let me just say it was packed. Be prepared to wait in really long lines to order and also to get your food/drink. The wait is definitely worth it and this is a new café so you need to be patient. The food was really good specifically the empanadas were amazing. Seating fills up fast but definitely a great spot to work from home or study at because they have a really cute seating area upstairs and outdoors. read more

I enjoyed visiting this new coffee & bookstore in the Georgetown area. I was able to visit during the influencer night and fellowship with other creators and the owners to learn more about their coffee shop. Everyone was quite lovely and friendly as we tried different items from the menu. read more
This is now one of my favorite cafes! After Reverie closes, this will be my only reason to go to Georgetown. Great pork bbq empanadas and matcha drinks. The upstairs seating is very nice and relaxing. It allows you to grab a seat and place your order upstairs! I can't wait to try more food. Wishing them luck! read more
If you are looking for a delicious Argentine coffee spot, look no further! Flor is a unique bookstore/ cafe that just opened in Georgetown. The outdoor seating area is my favorite (if you can get a table)! The service is so kind and everyone who works there is so positive. It can get a bit crowded on the first floor, but it's worth the wait! read more

Flor is such a beautiful spot! The space is relaxing and the staff is so kind and welcoming. I loved both the outdoor patio and the upstairs portion. They have different vibes. So if you are more focused on work, I'd go upstairs and if you are in a more chatty mood or just want some fresh air, I'd recommend the outdoor patio. The owner was also so kind. You can see she really cares for the place. My friend and I got the breakfast plate and the grilled cheese with a coffee and matcha. The drinks and food were great, especially the coffee! Definitely recommend checking it out. read more
