Avocado BT Omelette

American Diners are not dead! This place has all the comfort of traditional cafe food you remember. Quick service, decent prices. Nice chatty tables all around with people enjoying being together for a good meal.

Enjoyed!

It's difficult to find good breakfast place in rural areas because they usually have fast foods with drive-thru. Glad to see this restaurant on one of my drive to work. Greeter and also the waitress was friendly even early in the morning:) I had their poached egg avocado toast on toasted sourdough bread. That was delicious. I had to try their pancake since the restaurant's name says flip pancakes! Thank god I could order just 1 since it was huge that it almost covered a plate. I had the cinnamon roll pancake as recommended by the waitress. It was a good choice! Just like most rural restaurants they serve big portions. And I'm glad since I had a long flight home after breakfast.

Visiting from Cincinnati. Wanted something good for breakfast and they didn't disappoint. Food was delicious and came out quick. Highly recommend!

We were back in Moline for the We The Kingdom and Casting Crowns concert, so of course we had to visit Flips again. Today we shared a Corned Beef Hash Skillet with Pancakes and left very happy.

Veggie Omelet and Fruit

Wowza - GREAT breakfast in the QCA. We went in late in the morning on a Monday and grabbed a booth. We got in our orders and our food came out quickly. I got the Denver Omelet - it was HUGE and came with very fresh, tasty hash browns, and amazing pancakes. Now, I'm not a big pancake eater, and I was doing my best to finish these, which was not easy job given the mound of omelet, potatoes and pancakes that came as my meal. My wife got the Veggie Omelet, which was also a LOT of food, and very fresh and tasty. She opted for the fresh fruit for her side, which lightened things up a bit - it was also fresh and savory. Our server checked in frequently, and the service was the quick and efficient as you'd expect in this type of establishment. As a bonus, this establishment is in a building that was a bar for many years and one that I frequented over 40 years ago - kind of a nice touch for me at least! But fear not, there are no remnants of the bar vibe unless you know what to look for. Go and enjoy some good grub!

Outstanding! Lots of breakfast options and they don't disappoint. Everything from the pancakes to the hash browns, eggs, and sausage were very well prepared and delicious. Super fast service too. The syrup was very watered down but the pancakes are so good you hardly need it. Love the atmosphere too. It feels very open. Excellent service and cool t-shirts for sale too!

Clean establishment. Seating availability good. Short wait to be seated. Friendly staff. Large selection of food available. Presentation of food pleasing to the eye. Well prepared and tasty food. Busy establishment.

CFS skillet with pancakes, he said it was good and I tried the breading and it was delicious!

Great little place we stop by for breakfast at when we're in the QC. Service was so friendly and fast, I barely got a sip of my coffee before the food was at our table! The waitress was really nice and attentive. It was busy but not overly loud like some restaurants can get. The lady running the register was so nice! All on all a good breakfast stop any day of the week!

Fatty bacon

This was my first time at the restaurant and I ordered the one egg breakfast with hash browns, bacon and pancakes. The first thing I noticed was the fatty bacon, a complete turn off. Which only made me curious about the rest of my breakfast. To my delight the pancakes had a nice vanilla flavor. And the hash browns were average. The bacon as I expected was horrible. As I stated it was extremely fatty and the flavor was just as bad. In my opinion it was just a very cheap grade of bacon with a strong porky flavor. The service was adequate but it wouldn't be a place that I would visit again.

Friendly staff. Clean restaurant. Went on Sunday morning. Was seated right away. Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Coffee wasn't as strong as I would like it but that's my preference. Would definitely come back next time we are in the area.

QC must also mean Quality Control cause the food here was delectable…read more Waking up in the Quad Cities with no game plan and an empty stomach is what lead us to this fine destination. I was tasked with finding a place close to our hotel and this one sounded like what both Emily and I were craving. We got there a bit before 9am and were greeted with a 30-40 minute wait time. Since there probably would've been a wait time anywhere else, we gave them our name, number and headed back to the car to chill. Not even 15 minutes later, we got the call to come in and have some breakfast. Since we had time to kill in the car, we planned out our orders before we went back in so we were able to order right away. Emily got the Western Skillet and I got the Western Omelet. For how busy it was, the food took no more than 10 minutes to come out and it was a lot more than I was expecting. For an omelet, this thing must've had like 12 eggs in it. Same for Emily's skillet, it was served in a bit pan and it was filled with so much food. One of the reasons we picked this place is because they are known for their cinnamon roll pancakes. Emily got some for her side and I cautioned her that since its a side pancake, it might be normal ones. Turns out, it was the normal ones but good god, the one bit I had of them was heavenly. Turns out, the whole meal was mostly divine. The omelet could've had a bit more flavor to it but a little bit of salt and pepper helped bring it to life. Emily really liked her food but found the ham in her skillet to be a bit too bland for her taste. The food here was super good and a great value for what you paid. On top of that, the entire staff was super friendly and professional and handled the breakfast crowd like veterans in spite of the young ages of the staff. As we drove around the Quad Cities the day before, I pointed out the million different pancake houses to Emily, so, its funny and fitting that we ended up going to one for breakfast the next day... and what a good one we selected. They must really like their pancakes up there. I might have to add a few of them to my list of places to check out next time we are up here.

Honestly $40 for all of this was beyond what we were expecting when we stopped in for a quick bite…read moreto eat. There was a small wait when we got there but we were seated in the back and boy was it busy, our server was very fast and had a good knowledge of the menu! If we go back to this area we will make sure to stop here! An overall very welcoming and fun environment for such a small area! Not pictured: coffee & already devoured French toast muffin

The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. I had the flight of waffles and my husband had the carnivore omelette with a pancake. Today was the first day we have tried the parlor on a weekend. it was busy this morning. I will give them that. But the woman that waited on us was slow, never came back to the table, left us sitting 20 minutes, waiting for a bill to leave. I got the feta and spinach omelette. I was disappointed because the cheese was not melted. It was just sitting on top. It was a small omelette for $12. It came with potatoes or fruit, I chose the fruit which was good. I was disappointed there is no toast or pancakes. It comes with this like most breakfast places we go to. We go to breakfast every single week at least once. The absence of toast was a big one. I don't think we will be returning. My husband got a flight of four itty-bitty waffles. Certainly not worth $14. It came with nothing extra.
