We've been here a couple times after getting off work at 5am. I love coming here and the customers all knowing each other. You get the homey vibe. The service is friendly and quick. The food is absolutely delicious and I recommend a mimosa. We've found our breakfast spot.

It's worth going out of the way to hit Tasty Cafe. They have a very full breakfast menu, which is what we were there for. The dine-in table service was fantastic and so was the food. Their orange juice is exceptional, fresh squeezed right in the restaurant.

Great food and we love their fresh orange juice! Service and good and our order came out quick, definitely going back!

A breakfast gem in Eastern Iowa! We sought out the Tasty Cafe in Eldridge, Iowa after seeing the positive ratings and reviews. We are 'Breakfast People' and we wanted a great breakfast on our way back to Michigan. The full parking lot and many local plates told us we had made a good choice. The friendly host seated us in a comfortable booth after a short wait. We noticed the happy smiles and lively conversation of our fellow diners. We also noticed the wonderful cleanliness throughout. Our breakfast was delicious. The Eggs Benedict were among the best I have ever had. And the Hollandaise Sauce was indeed the best I've encountered. The Biscuits & Gravy is my new favorite. The gravy was so smooth and silky and was not gritty nor was it floury. Delicious! We will be back.

The image shows a restaurant interior with a table in the foreground, featuring a menu placed on its surface. The table has a smooth, speckled surface. In the background, there are several chairs, some occupied by customers, including one person in a blue shirt and another in an orange hoodie. The restaurant has a tiled floor, and a green wall with shelves and a display case is visible behind the customers. The lighting appears to be from overhead fixtures, creating a casual dining atmosphere.

Tasty indeed! The Florentine Eggs Benedict was bursting with flavor! I tried a waffle as well and it was to die for! Everything came out quickly and the staff were great! You don't have to pay much for this delicious breakfast either! I don't know what the lunch is like, but if you're in Eldridge, you should stop by!

More than I could eat - A breakfast plate features hash browns, scrambled eggs, orange slices, and remnants of other breakfast foods. The plate is on a table with a fork, knife, and various condiments and utensils in the background. The food appears partially eaten, with some food scattered on the plate and some items still intact.

Good little ma and pop shop. Food was delicious, portions were large, and bill was average. Server was very nice and attentive. Will stop again

Great place to grab good food. I ordered the chicken Cesar wrap and French fries. The wrap came with soup of the day which was chicken noodle soup. The soup used shell noodles. I didn't see any chicken but it was tasty. The food came out hot and delicious soon afterward. My friend ordered the spinach pie with cottage cheese. Both of our meals were great. The owner walked around speaking to all the diners. I would recommend eating here when in town.

Pricey. Food did not match the price point. Mediocre cleanliness. Lots of flies! Service was ok. Location is good. Parking lot tight.

"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble"…read more After the less-than-stellar americano at 392Caffee, Emily and I decided to get more coffee later in the day and Coffee Apothecary happened to be right around the corner from Five Cities Brewing. Talk about convenient. So, after a few beers and the best meal, we dropped in for one last hit of caffeine before finishing out the day exploring. When we walked in, they had just burnt some bacon, so the place was filled with smoke. Kinda fits the Apothecary theme, in my opinion. Since we had just eaten a big meal at Five Cities, we opted for just a drink. Emily got their special HeLa CELL and I got my usual americano. They were out of brown sugar for the HeLa CELL so Emily got it substituted with caramel. We waited just a few minutes for the drinks to be ready and decided that despite the smoke that was lingering around, we would sit there and play some Uno while recharging our batteries. This americano was exactly what I wanted all day. It was dark and bitter and delicious. I sampled Emily's drink and the foam and salt and caramel were a perfect combo. Compared to the other coffeehouse we visited, this one felt more traditional. It's a bit smaller so large groups might have to sit outside or divvy up between tables. As for the aesthetics of the place, they really play into the apothecary theme. It felt rustic and antique in there, between the decor and the images on the wall. It almost reminded me of Little Raven Creamery that was open in Peoria at one point. If you find yourself in the Quad Cities and want a nice change of pace from your usual coffeehouse, give Coffee Apothecary a try. Hopefully the burnt bacon smoke will be gone by then. Not entirely sure why one of the workers didn't prop a door open to help air it out but it was like 95 degrees outside so... don't blame them for wanting to keep the shop cool. Sidenote: I do wish they had their logo that I saw on their Facebook available on either a magnet, sticker, or shirt. I love the look and vibe of plague doctors so to have that on something I can put up at home or wear would be sweet. Maybe they will have some merch in the future! Until then, stay caffeinated!
