I'm not a fan of Coleslaw and forgot to get her input... the Texas Toast is always soft, buttery, pillow-y heaven. Normally I order an Arnold Palmer (1/2 sweet tea, 1/2 lemonade) I know some places call it different names and unsure if Cane's falls into this cafe. That was the most disappointing part, very watery and uneventful. BUT I was there for the food, not the drink. They are located in a busy area of Davenport with lots of businesses and restaurants nearby. Service was good. We arrived a little after 1 PM. They weren't too busy. I ordered a Italian beef sandwich for myself and a whitefish sandwich for my wife. The Italian beef sandwich was good. It was filled with meat and topped with peppers. My wife thought the whitefish sandwich was okay. Portillo's is a good place for lunch. They are a nationwide chain and have 3 locations in my home state of California. Maybe one day, I'll be able to get my Chicago fix of Portillo's in Chicago.
