Oh my goodness what a gem of a place! Today was my second visit and this was as amazing as the first! First of all the service is warm and efficient. Pretty sure this is a family operation... you can feel it. Both times I ordered the special Monte Cristo. Stacked with ham and Swiss and soft fluffy French toast. It was piping hot! Cheese had a great pull it was so hot! The fries are the battered fries which are usually not my favorite. But NO... apparently they are amazing when served piping hot! Husband ordered a Denver omelet and a half order of biscuits and gravy. All had steam wafting off the plate and lovingly made. The biscuits and gravy were excellent, the fruit cups were perfect (a nice variety of very fresh fruit!) and the chicken salad on a croissant that I ordered was also very good. I got exactly what I wanted! Big omelet crammed with veggies (I combined veg + Popeye), crispy hash browns, sub fruit for toast/pancakes (gluten free) and coffee. Staff were really attentive and I got service with a smile from at least 4 people. Inside ambience has a mix of diner / Mexican taco house, minimalist but with some cute signs. This was exactly what I wanted 2 blocks walk from my hotel. And it was enough to eat my fill and still have leftovers. read more

My friend and I were looking for a breakfast spot and decided to go to this one based off prices and photos. We had never been before. We were greeted. And sat at a table immediately. The interior has a small diner feel. It's small but intimate. Our friendly server Thaila was so helpful and kind with explaining menu options. We even had Marco check in on us and he did that to every other table too on his way back to the kitchen. We thought it was nice because he did not have to take that time. He could've worried about just his tables. The food came out quickly and it tasted so good! The portions were decent and we even took leftovers with us. I was in town for a conference and really wanted a good hearty breakfast after a morning workout. After reading the raving reviews for this place, I thought I would stop in. The restaurant is quaint and small, and smelled very intensely of cleaning products. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted and told I could sit wherever, as it was fairly empty at 6:15AM. Since I had already checked the menu online, I knew that I wanted to try the Country Benedict, so I ordered right away. I also ordered decaf coffee, because I try to limit my caffeine intake and had already enjoyed a cup of regular coffee earlier. My food arrived within three minutes, along with my coffee and water. First impression, the plate was swimming in gravy. Once I took a bite though, my expectations were quickly dashed. I had ordered over medium eggs and the eggs were more on the hard side, with very little runniness. The biscuits were very soft and squishy and I could tell they were not freshly baked. They tasted old and were from a prepackaged, frozen box. The sausage had a good flavor and was cooked properly. However, I was most disappointed in the gravy. The sausage gravy tasted like it also came from a frozen bag and was not homemade. It was very bland and reminded me of the gravy at McDonalds. Finally, the coffee was not decaf and was so watered down, it barely had any taste at all. Overall, I was supremely disappointed in the meal and for a $21 (with tip) breakfast, it should have blown my socks off. I would have given this restaurant much higher ratings if they had just taken the extra time to make everything homemade, instead of using prepackaged biscuits and gravy. Also, if you are a breakfast restaurant, please learn how to make good coffee. Unfortunately, I will not be back. read more
