We stopped by for a Father's Day brunch after a morning baseball game, and I have to say, I was really impressed. It's a relatively small restaurant, but we were seated quickly. It's clean and a little noisy, but on par with most breakfast spots. Service was good and friendly, but what I was most impressed by was the food came out fairly quickly and really hot. My daughter and I split the Southern Chicken Sandwich and fries. Sandwich had amazing flavor. The fries could have used some salt. My wife had a half order of biscuits and gravy with an egg, which she loved. My son had the chocolate chip pancakes, which he devoured. Prices were reasonable. If we are ever in the area again, we'll come back. read more

Why does this place have only 4.2 stars? My family of five ate here last year and it was amazing--so we came back again, and it's just as good, if not even better than we remembered, even a year later. The service is genuinely outstanding, and the food is exactly what we expected and more. Even though the restaurant was packed, we were seated right away. The owner stopped by our table at the end of the meal, and you could tell he treats his staff just as well as he treats his customers. read more

The Dubai chocolate pancakes were amazing! The burrito was delicious as well! We ordered cinnamon roll pancakes that never ended up coming... we were never charged. We did ask if we could do one cinnamon roll pancakes instead of 2 as a side and she said it would be the same price so we asked to just get the two no big deal but I think she forgot to put in the order. No big deal otherwise food was good. read more

Food and service is great as well as ambiance being family friendly but restaurant is not dog friendly as it says on yelp.

Stacks was the perfect place for breakfast. Erica our waiter was great, and the food was amazing. We had eggs Benedict, a house omelette and Dubai pancakes which were all delicious. Love the hometown cafe feel. We even bought a t-shirt! read more

We had a group of seven and first tried Jimmy's Pancake House, which had a 45-minute wait. We then went to Flips, where the wait was 40 minutes. Finally, we tried Stacks, which had no wait, and we were seated at 10:15 a.m. After ordering, our food arrived about 30 minutes later. My skillet tasted good at first, but then I noticed a hair in it. While I understand that mistakes can happen, I informed our server, who apologized and said he would bring me a new skillet. A few minutes later, the server returned with the same skillet, explaining that the owner had looked at it, didn't see a hair, and believed it was probably just cheese. He then set the same skillet back down and told me the owner would not remake my food. I asked the server to take it away, as I did not want to eat it. I still had a side of pancakes, so I ate those instead. A short while later, another server came to the table--apparently sent by the owner--to ask what was wrong and if there was anything she could do. I told her no, as I had lost my appetite. About five minutes later, our original server returned with the bill and the owner's business card, explaining that the owner had still charged me for the skillet. I gave the card back and asked the server to let the owner know we would not be returning. I would have understood being charged for the pancakes, but charging for a meal I didn't eat shows very poor customer service. It's disappointing, and it's likely one of the reasons the restaurant had no wait. In my opinion, the owner is his own worst enemy. Owners name Bill Abduli. The server was great. read more

Service was just ok. Waitress acted as if she didn't care whether she was there or not! Food was just ok.

If I could've given it 10 stars, I would have. Probably the best breakfast I've ever eaten at ridiculously affordable prices. The service was top notch as well. read more

Went to Stacks for the first time today. By far the best hashbrowns I've had in the QC. They actually understand what the word CRISPY means. The only thing that I was a little disappointed in was the gravy. While I'm sure they mix it there; it wasn't scratch. Chopped up sausage links don't belong in sausage gravy. Use patties if you're going to add it after it's mixed. Service was wonderful; everything was great. Fix the gravy Then brag about it. Haven't found good gravy in the QC yet. read more

Great service, and large servings of food. Large pancakes, crispy bacon, even coffee was great.

We love Stacks. We actually have put this in our regular breakfast rotation. The waitresses are so friendly and efficient. The cooks do a consistently good job and are quick. I have never been disappointed and they offer fresh berries as a side which is wonderful! Overall We enjoy coming and having such a great choice of breakfast food! As a born again believer, love the ambiance! Staff are friendly and give just enough attention for coffee refills, never an empty cup! I had a hankering for pancakes and had a difficult choice to make. I didn't want to go too sweet and get the cinnamon roll pancakes, but those looked amazing. I had regular pancakes with a side of bacon. If I lived locally this would be a regular. read more

Food looked good but I quickly changed my order to go. The restaurant was not socially distancing and appeared to be operating at 100% capacity. Only one table was not operational. Travelling this week and use Yelp to direct us where to go for good eats. (Hotel breakfast looked unappetizing.... ) Found this gem and drove easily to it. Parking lot only had 1 stall left! Busy place for a Friday morning at 815, thought maybe the rush would be gone but this place has so many options! Going off a previous suggestion from Yelp, we ordered gyro meat and each ordered a veggie omelet with avocado ( only 2 small slices were $2.99 so that was our only disappointment.) hash browns were nicely crisp and plentiful and pancakes had a great taste, with a faint vanilla flavoring . Super large food portions all arrived quickly with a kind and efficient server, Chris. She was great at keeping our drinks full without constantly interrupting our meal. So travelers, we highly recommend this place, everything looked and sounded amazing! Locals, you are lucky yo have them in your neighborh read more

They have good food and we love their crepes. BUT...have rarely (never?) felt so unwelcome at a restaurant even before we were seated. Which, we weren't. A table for 2 means one small table. Three tables open and they would not seat us until our entire party arrived. Nope, no table for you! I'm not talking about a table for 6 or 8 which takes a lot of floor space, but the same table size no matter of it was a party of 1 or 2. I could have lied and said "table for 1, please", been seated, then had my husband show up and surprise me! But I chose to be honest, so yep, you can just stand at the door and we'll get consideration as a customer on their terms. I don't know the reason for the policy and am certain they feel it is justified or works within their business model. It does not work within my service model and I will be hard pressed to choose a restaurant that makes me feel so unwelcome. Moral of the story, don't meet anyone there unless you can coordinate your arrival with precision...or be told to wait at the door and step in no further. Sad. read more

I loved the food! A little expensive but worth it! My boyfriend and I visited this place and had a great experience with the atmosphere for an early morning breakfast! Nice breakfast shop location, right off of the I-74 corridor, great location for our Iowa/ Illinois bi-state family. We kept breakfast simple this time (no pancakes or waffles this visit, we will be back for a review on those items.) Clean environment, it's a newer establishment and they were deep cleaning the kitchen on a midweek morning which made me feel great about how much care they put into cleanliness. We had the eggs Benedict, coffee and fruit cup, eggs and sausage- all very good. The coffee is delicious read more

We order the Meat lover's omelet and chorizo skillet. Both were well cooked with a butter undertones in the and a generous thick cook vs the thinly wrapped Omelette and not to much cheese the skillet came with an over medium egg which was done perfectly to order. The staff were wonderful! Made sure they had the order right before leaving and food arrived hot and perfect. I could not get my Coffee cup below 1/2 full before they were around asking if I wanted more all and al a wonderful Sunday breakfast and would recommend it if you want delicious like mom made breakfast! read more

One star because I have to and that's for the stuff because they were amazing. Entitled business owner is your cook. Refuses to believe his own staff member that he missed the no onions on the skillet order. He came up to own table as we ate our meal and looks very close to figure out who was right or wrong. Then made an excuse. After I had to ask him to give us our personal space so we could attempt to enjoy the rest of our meal. And had zero customer service. Not to mention he added on a credit card processing fee if you did pay with cash. read more
