So a couple of classmates and I came here for Lunch and made the drive to Moline. It was definitely worth the drive! I got the pad sew moo (drunken noodles) along with the soup, salad, spring roll, and crab Rangoon that was $3.00 more with the lunch special. Our food came out in a cute tray with everything on it in separate bowls. The salad dressing was really good! Nothing like I've had at other Thai restaurants. The soup was good too but nothing special...just a few vegetables in broth but still flavorful. The drunken noodles (w/chicken) was AMAZING!!! It had a nice kick to it and sooo flavorful, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The spring roll and crab Rangoon was also delicious. My friends got the basil fried rice and pad Thai and they both loved it as well. At the end I got a Thai tea and as always you can never go wrong with a Thai tea. Would definitely recommend! I revisited Thai Flavors. They are under new ownership and I decided to give the new folks a try. THRILLED to report that their Tom Kha is so much better! I ordered veggie (extra veg, no chicken or shrimp) and was horrified to see bell pepper in there, because ewww. But I didn't expect bell pepper because I've never seen sweet peppers in Tom Kha, but I did not specify no peppers, so I'm not mad at that. Grossed out for sure, but not mad. I picked them out and the soup was so delicious. Complete turnaround from what it used to be. So, big kudos on that! My dining partner ordered cashew chicken and enjoyed it. I ordered the Flavors Pad Thai. I didn't love it. The whole dish tasted like shrimp. The sauce was kind of overly sweet and I don't think there were any crushed peanuts in there. It was just not the best pad Thai I've ever had. All that to say, it really is much improved with new owners. The pad Thai looked good and actually tasted ok, but it was not for me. Happy to have another Thai place in the mix. I'll definitely be back to try something else! read more

Have dined at Thai Flavors many times and it is always wonderful-taste,quantity presentation. It just came to me that we were there(dine in) for lunch had an appetizer 2 meals and 2 drinks for $60. The price did NOT bother me...it is the fact that everything was served in plastic and a paper plate for the appetizer. My sister said it was because lack of employees‍ I was just disappointed is all and I know it would have worked that way if it was to go but it wasn't. Great place great people great food! read more

When we ordered takeout at Thai Flavors for the first time since the change in ownership, the initial cost was about $100 for four people. We scratched our heads a little at the price before calling back to confirm and, on finding out no mistakes had been made on the bill, removing the two appetizers from our order. It's been a couple of months since then and we'd kind of forgotten about it. My boyfriend and I stopped by Thai Flavors on Easter Sunday at around 2 for a late lunch. We both ordered noodles, drinks, and a chicken satay appetizer, and our check was over $50. I'm not opposed to occasionally paying $50 for lunch, but the thing is that our food wasn't anything special. Honestly, I preferred Thai Flavors under the old ownership. I've read other reviewers say that their lunch specials (that I assume are only available on weekdays) are great. Maybe I'll try again sometime. read more

UM YES PLEASE. I am always on the hunt for a good green curry. (Exotic thai and lemongrass don't have a green curry, but I've also found one at Soi 2.) Their green curry is on point. First off, let me say that the food here was great. We ordered take out and the food was fresh and still warm after a 15 minute drive home. The is probably the best Thai Chicken that I have had in the Quad cities areas. My main issue was the cost. My fiancé and I happened to notice this joint when driving by the area and were surprised it was no longer New China. Being fans of Thai food, we were eager to check it out, and tonight, we did so. I was initially intrigued by the entryway behind the main door that led to another door--the previous restaurant was not set up like this. We entered to a dimly-lit yet colorful atmosphere, and the host/waitress greeted us with a warm welcome. I was already enticed. My fiancé and I started out with chicken satay that was served with cucumber salad and peanut sauce to go on it. The salad was very fresh, and the peanut sauce was as nutty as ever. The chicken itself was moist, tender, and every other positive adjective out there to describe meat. We enjoyed this appetizer as upbeat muzak versions of "These Words (I Love You)" by Natasha Bedingfield and "Everytime" by Britney Spears played in the background. As a main entree, I tried the pineapple rice with beef, and my fiancé had the spicy basil stir fry. My rice was very sweet compared to other pineapple fried rices I've had, but that wasn't a bad thing. Each time I dug in, I seemed to experience new flavors that I hadn't before. It was almost like eating a dessert with beef in it. Nom! My fiancé enjoyed his stir fry and claimed it wasn't as spicy as the name and menu disclaimer warned it to be. At this point, we were being serenaded by jaunty, Asian-infused tunes. The bathrooms, which weren't previously open to the public, appeared to be clean, and the waitress was pleasant. I don't have any complaints and am looking forward to trying more from this menu that is reminiscent of Exotic Thai and Tantra Asian Bistro! read more

Very nice start for this new restaurant. My job has me driving around the Quad Cities all day so I usually eat takeout from wherever I happen to be around lunch time. Today I happened to be in Rock Island and Moline and decided to try a new Thai restaurant near the border I read about in the online version of the daily paper. My first impression walking in was very nice with warm decor. I thought I'd try a basic, very common Thai dish as my first meal here so I ordered Pad Thai with chicken, lunch size. I always figure if they don't have a good Pad Thai no reason to go any further on the menu. Well I was definitely pleased with my lunch. The portion size was definitely enough for me and I have a good appetite. The noodles were superb, moist, but not sticky or gummy. The peanuts were ground up so I was able to mix them in and get a little taste of them on every bite. If I had to pick on anything it would be that some chicken pieces were slightly dry. Not all of them and when mixed with the moist noodles and other ingredients they tasted just fine. The jasmine rice was perfect. The lunch also comes with soup or salad. I chose the soup which itself was 6-7 ounces. The lunch was $7.95 which I found to be a good value with the soup and rice included. While waiting for my meal I noticed they also have "fresh" summer rolls, my absolute favorite appetizer, ever. The order came with two rolls and enough dipping sauce for both. They were wonderful. I could eat four of these as my main meal five days a week. LOVE THEM!! They are made with rice paper, rice noodles, shrimp, carrots and mixed greens. A must try. I will definitely return to try more dishes and order more summer rolls. read more

I've been to sooo many Thai places and Thai food has a special place in my heart but this place takes the cake. Amazing service, a warm atmosphere, and the cutest baby I've ever seen. The food was incomparable, I had the cashew stir fry with mock duck and I was blown away. Very few Thai places have good mock duck and the whole dish was outstanding. The flavors in the dish and the texture of the mock duck were amazing. I'm not sure what else I can say besides this place is a hidden gem. read more

Great food for us common people. I can't speak for the foodies. Clean place with a very nice staff. I tried two new dishes I've never had and enjoyed both. My family was surprised how good the unsweetened ice tea tasted. That was a good sign for the start of our visit. The black fungus in vinegar was a fun adventure. I enjoyed it but it may not be a taste for the timid. We are from out of town, so we may not ever get back here. I hope others will always come here so we can come back again. read more

We ate here a few times when they were first open and we're not impressed. Friends have been to Thai Flavors recently and said good things about it so we decided to try it again. I'm so glad we did! The 2 meals we've had recently were delicious. The owner(?) asked if I liked spicy and I said sweet and spicy. She suggested a dish which I added scallops to as the protein. It was so yummy. Last night I had basil scallops and my husband had crying tiger. Again, delicious. We've had the edamame, spinach egg rolls, dumplings. All were great. You're served a salad with delicious cilantro ginger dressing before your meal. The restaurant has not been full when we've been there. We usually go to a Thai restaurant downtown and love it but they are packed. Thai Flavors is a nice change. read more

Don't believe the hype. This place is disreputable. I experienced a blatant and direct amount of what I can only describe as racism at this establishment. I am a Black woman but I am still very surprised when people don't even try to hide their prejudice and discrimination. I was so excited to try a new Thai restaurant and when I visited this place for lunch I asked for the lunch special and the waiter promptly told me they had no lunch special. After I ordered I saw the lunch special posted on the wall as it was posted on the Facebook website. I asked the waiter about this and she didn't answer but called someone on the phone to explain to me why they could not honor what was plainly posted on the wall and on the Facebook page. She then went to the cook for a further answer about why they couldn't honor it and then the person on the phone said they couldn't honor it because the manager was not there. The entire fiasco was absurd and despicable. This place is a joke and I gladly canceled my order and got out of there. There are far better restaurants that aren't managed by people who are blatantly racist and aren't afraid to show it. read more

Well I was in town just before the state shut down dining in. Now that I have time to write reviews I'm going to give my honest opinion. First off, there was a small adorable little infant there playing on what looked like an iPad. It was kinda weird and uncomfortable but you can't blame the infant, and the kid really was adorable. Now to the food, and let me say I hit all Thai and Indian restaurants in every town I go. The food was meh. The whole infant thing was one thing, but the food was bland, and the menu looked like a condensed version of soi 2, which isn't far from this place and is lights out delicious, but sometimes slow. Maybe I was there in a bad day, but there was only one other table and it was lunch and this was before the pandemic. I'm willing to try this place again, but I'm a pretty good judge of Thai food around the area and Midwest and this place isn't worth going out of your way for. read more
