I have been in Iowa for 4 days and ate in restaurants every day! I had the best breakfast and meal at Clark's Landing. If you're hungry and driving along the Mississippi River you have to stop here. I can only imagine what their lunch is like. I'm stopping on my way to the airport. Service was great, too!! read more

Typical Grill fair. Food is always hot large servings, and served very quickly. Staff is always friendly and refills are often and quick.

Their burgers and tenderloins are great. However their dinners (I've had the fried chicken and the roast beef) are not so great. The value just isn't there for the dinners. But...those tenderloins! My super picky 10 year old who only would eat chicken loves them...likes requests for us to make the trip to buffalo all the time to get one. So that is a huge win in our books, she isn't a huge eater so if it is good enough for a request for her then we are stoked. The pies are also amazing there. read more

I drove past Clark's Landing on the way to Davenport from Muscatine and decided to come back and give it a try. The place is cozy and the food is great diner eats. I had the spicy burger on a pretzel bun and I have to say it's one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. It wasn't so spicy that I couldn't taste the peppers, and I could actually taste the meat. The burger itself was pretty thin and medium rare, but that was fine with me. The pretzel bun was fantastic! They seem to have some awesome nightly specials (it was fried catfish and battered baked potatoes the Friday night I was there). I tasted my friend's cheddar baked potato soup and pronounced it yummy. I could have easily made a meal from a bowl of that. The pies also looked good but I ran out of room after the burger and the fried mushrooms. I want to go back some time and try the chocolate mint pie. read more

You can't go wrong with a meal at Clark's Landing. The menu is varied and they have great breakfasts. There are daily lunch and dinner specials and Thursday is 'Mexican Night' with many choices from which to choose. The atmosphere is casual, the staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. It's a great place for a family meal! Once you try Clark's Landing, you will be back for more of their delicious food at the most reasonable prices in the entire Quad City region. i was in Buffalo for about 4 month last winter. Almost everyday, we were going to Clark's landing. It is such a real dinner. I wish i could have brought my parents there. The menu is very typical and they make the best fried cheese, that are soooo worth the calories. The ladies that work there are incredibly nice, and after a while knew us so well, they knew our drink and usual lunch habits. They havea daily lunch and soup special, always worht trying. I miss this place. If i ever have to go back to Buffalo, IA (which i hope i don't), the only thing that will make it better is Clark's landing. I wish i could bring them at home with me. read more

Good food, varied menu, reasonable prices, great wait-staff. Thursday is "Mexican Night"...and all items are made from scratch. Delicious! The hot beef sandwich is great; good mashed potatoes and very tender beef. Sunday breakfast is terrific...get there early! They have everything from sandwiches, salads and appetizers to delicious dinners; the chicken is very good.. Had lunch here yesterday while interviewing for a job and I just loved this place. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food was really good .I had the reuben and coleslaw. I'm picky about coleslaw for some reason and there's was the best Ive had. read more

I live near Buffalo, and find Clarks Location to be very convenient because there's not any other options in buffalo, and I don't always like driving to Davenport to eat out. I eat at Clarks all the time. I used to eat their enough that multiple waitresses could get my fiance and I's preferred drink without even asking us what we wanted. Overall I have no issues with the service. I only ever had one bad waiter there, but she had known me personally from middle school/highschool and I assume she was nervous because she always was. She messed up the order twice, and she never came back to the table when she finally got the order right even though the place was empty, so we didn't get a single refill. When I got home I asked my fiance how much it was because he paid with my debit card (we switch off paying) and when he told me I realized it was way too cheap. She didn't charge us for the drinks! Anyhow, she didn't work there very long. Clarks is definitely a comfortable place to eat. It's usually half empty to 3/4 empty when I there so it's very relaxing. The decor is old and drab but there's something weirdly charming about that to me. Add's to that relaxing "at home" feel. Yeah.. My house is kinda drab. I admit. The breakfast is almost always good to me, however the hash browns are sometimes burnt, and I got a pancake once where the middle wasn't cooked through and it was wet batter. There was a point where I got the scrambled eggs looking like someone chopped them up after cooking them, rather then actually scrambling them. So with the hash browns and the pancake incident, and the eggs, the breakfast can be hit and miss. I always like their burgers and their clubs, and the chili. Their hot roast beef and mash potato sandwich is really good. The catfish is okay to me. It's not really thick and juicy enough for my taste. Their chicken strips are great, I like chicken strips where you taste more chicken than breading. I never usually get the dinners, I've had every dinner on their menu and none of them really wowed me so I don't get them. The shrimp dinner was probably the most satisfying because the butterfly shrimps are really big. Their dinner salads are okay, nothing fancy but I've never gotten a salad that wasn't fresh looking their, as I have at some other places around here. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken fried steak breakfast, though you can get it for dinner as well. Clarks is the only place I eat chicken fried steak because their white gravy is the best. read more
