We requested the patio since the restaurant was busy and the interior was pretty noisy - we were seated quickly after just a brief wait. Service was very attentive for the most part. We started with an order of the cheese curds and they were absolutely fantastic. The breading is much lighter than you'd expect and adds the perfect crisp to the warm cheese. Both dipping sauces are excellent. For my entree, I chose the chickpea burger and fries. I'm not vegetarian, but the array of veggies on the burger sounded delicious. It was pretty good! Laid back bar vibe. The food was great. We loved the burger especially with the jalapeño popper on top. The mac n cheese was so creamy! They have different happy hour specials as well. Our waiter was alright, one of our friends had ordered the Italian salad and was given a wrong one but the waiter never came back to check on us for about 10 mins. Poor service. Cold food. Disappointing experience. We are visiting the Quad Cities. I'm on crutches post-surgery and looked for a food delivery option for burgers, as my daughter was craving one. After researching possibilities, I came across Central Standard. I went on their website, and saw they offered many delivery options. I then happily ordered the food to be delivered. Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a pleasant gentleman who told me that they don't offer delivery and that it was mistakenly turned on. I then reluctantly agreed to come pick up the food even though it was snowing and I'm on crutches. The gentlemen agreed to have the food hot and ready by 6:25pm. We arrived at 6:20 pm and I sent my daughter inside to get the food. She checked in and was told the food wasn't quite ready (which was fine, as we were early). She ended up waiting until 6:45 to get the food and that required her asking twice while she waited and me calling the restaurant from the car. When she came out to the car, we discovered she never got her drink...so we had to go back inside and wait again for the drink. And guess what...the food was cold when we opened it up immediately after picking it up. We won't be returning, sadly. We were able to reheat the burgers and they were tasty. The tator tots were beyond saving--they were congealed together and just gross. read more

We asked to pay for our tab and to discontinue our order.Instead of receiving our tab for what we had consumed, our food was delivered by a young employee. The manager then followed with our tab. We tried to explain the situation to the manager. He then gets frustrated and grabs our plates of food out from under us as we are eating and tells us to leave. So we did. Nice atmosphere, fun ambiance. Have gone here since they opened. Today I ordered a BBLTA with an Egg. I asked for the egg to be fried hard and our server informed me the Chef does not do that. At first I thought I might have been misunderstood but there was no misunderstanding. The Chef cooks the egg one way. So I ordered the burger instead. Nice bun but cooked well done because that is the only way the chef cooks them. On my way out I let the Manager know I had ordered the BBLTA with an egg and wanted it fried hard. He advised Oh, chef does not do that, he is very particular. He also said we don't do burger temperatures, chef is very particular. So great place to go if you want zero customization. Central Standard used to be a staple for me. Recently they changed their menu- getting rid of the Cobb salad I enjoyed and the mushroom Mac n cheese.
