The ambiance at the Davenport location is great-- the restaurant is nice, the setting on the river is lovely. I ordered the veggie fajitas and asked them to add chicken, because I wanted all the veggies (mushroom, onion, and green pepper) with my protein, and none of the fajita dishes had all of those veggies. I pointed to the item on the menu and explained what I wanted and why. I also ordered a cocktail. But... what came was a glob of red with shredded chicken and red sauce on top, which doesn't look like fajitas to me. I asked if this was the fajitas, and she said yes. I thought that maybe it was served differently here, and I figured I'd fine the veggies inside somewhere. I now realize (after looking up the menu online) that what I ate was the veggie enchilada meal, because it was potatoes wrapped in tortillas, and there were no or few veggies involved. My cocktail also didn't come, and we were half way through the meal before the wait staff, who was milling around because there were no other tables inside, made eye contact enough for us to ask for our waitress. She apologized, obviously forgot, and brought the cocktail. The potato enchiladas were tasty, but not what I wanted, so I'm disappointed. The service was clearly disappointing. But the setting and the chips and salsa were good. I'd go back for a drink and to sit outside. read more

If you feel like going somewhere where they absolutely hate you- u found the right place. I don't even know where to start. Had the meanest rudest food server I've ever had in my life and I've traveled the world. And all I am is super sweet and nice to the food servers. She didn't even wanna bring me a little bowl so I could have my own salsa because somebody else had a cold. She said they are running low on them and they don't do that because they don't want people to overuse salsa.. of course she was charging for chips. And of course they wouldn't let me get a plain crêpe instead of an order of pancakes.. and of course she said no to everything and anything and not only that but was so rude and so mean I tried to cancel my order immediately within one minute and they said no that it was already made, and that was a lie. Definitely won't be back. Gave a five dollar tip anyway I don't know why I guess I'm an idiot. read more

Yikes. Where do I even start? This was my first experience with DLua and I will not be returning. When I arrived the door was covered in mayflies...disgusting! I had a friend open the door (after a freak out) and tried not to think about it so I could give the restaurant a fair shot. Our waitress came and took our order but didn't come back with our food for about an hour. (They were not very busy so I didn't understand what took so long.) When the food arrived, it was cold, which was also confusing since it took her so long to bring it out. There were flies flying around everywhere touching the food on the tables while people were eating. I ordered fish and chips, that comes with fish, fries and queso, but the freaking queso isn't in a dish on the side, it's poured over the meal! Who knew this was even a thing? Needless to say it was disgusting, cold, wet fries and fish drenched in queso was a 0/10 and I will never forgive them. read more

She was friendly, attentive, and made excellent drinks while keeping everything running smoothly even when it was busy. Great restaurant-food, service, and ambience! We've been visiting the Quad cities for 6 years and can't believe we've never been here before. We had such a great experience on Friday night that we returned for Sunday breakfast/brunch. Extensive menu and great views from any seat especially on the deck. read more

Food was fantastic and prices are not unreasonable at all. We ordered multiple meals and all came out in a very timely manner. Server was extremely friendly. The host however did not give the best of service. The patio is the major selling point here. If you can try to get a table outside and eat by the river, its a great vibe with great views. The food was really good. The chicken quesadilla was flavorful with a crisp tortilla, and shrimp tostada was really fresh and light. I can always count on the pineapple jalapeño margarita. Its fresh, light, and made with real ingredients. The service is nice, if it gets busy you can expect to wait a bit for the server to pop over, but thats a given. read more

Based solely on my dish, the shrimp quesadilla, this restaurant would rate a five. Unfortunately, at our table at four, two of the dinners did not come out until more than 10 minutes after the first two. Given that a quesadilla takes barely 10 minutes to make, it's hard to understand how the timing could've been off so badly. Adding to that, when the lobster ravioli finally came out, it looked awful. The inside was a ground up brown substance that looked like finely ground beef, but nothing with the appearance of lobster. And the dish had no lobster outside of the raviolis. We raised this issue with the waitress, but she assured us that this is how the dish looks. If so, buyer beware. read more

Stopped in for lunch yesterday and we were immediately seated in the bar which overlooks the river, stunning view. We watched water fowl and eagles fly around. Anyway, I typically order the fish tacos but noticed a new avocado omelette on the menu. It sounded good so I ordered it. It was amazing! I loved it! The staff is so attentive and sweet. Becky and I went here for Sunday Brunch after church. As we expected, there was a bit of a wait, but that's small beans when you consider the beautiful River Views! They have breakfast all day, which is a Huge PLUS. We ordered one of their Special Pancake dishes and a Fusion Omlette. What a delite!!! Now for the disappointments. The water tasted a bit funny, like well water. Becky said she would order a Pop or Orange Juice next time. Additionally, the Omlette was a bit light on meat and heavy on the potatoes. Our group really enjoyed the food here. A great waitress as well. I can only comment on the carnitas taco which was good but needed a bit more flavor, the chili relenno which was great and the quesso birrea taco which was good as well. I've heard such great things about D'Lua on the River, but unfortunately, I did not have the same experience. We were seated at a table for over 20 minutes with no water, chips and salsa or anything given to us, we were even offered drinks to order. A white couple came in and they were serviced almost immediately, when we brought this to the staff attention everyone acted oblivious to the situation at hand. Yes, I am an African American woman and I felt very much so discriminated against. I have and will continue to spread that word about this horrible experience. Went here on Sunday, October 20 in the afternoon to just have drinks on their patio and sit by the river. We got up to the host stand. We said we'd like to sit outside. The guy told us we had to sit in the lawn chairs outside if we were not going to order food (you cannot sit at a table with an umbrella unless you order food) ....screw you I'll spend my money elsewhere. I love eating here. My favorite entree is the Cabo Burrito. It has lots of shrimp and is very fresh. They have their own D'Lua amber beer on tap and it is my go to. The River location is is the closest you can eat on the Mississippi. Enjoy! read more

I got a frozen milk. Never got my toast that I ordered. The service was terrible. Pancakes tasted really burnt.
