I stopped here on the Labor Day holiday because it was like the only breakfast open and I wanted grab breakfast on my way out of town in a local place because it's what I do. I was seated and menued/watered right away and the menu is one page breakfast and one page lunch/dinner. I would do the 1/2 biscuits and gravy with two eggs and sausage, kinda ala cart because I wasn't feeling hash browns. My food came fast and hot but I could see a problem right away because my sunny side up eggs were way undercooked with the clear slime still in the eggs, sunny side up doesn't mean raw. With all the breakfast reviews I have done over Yelp this is a first, see my picture. The sausage patties were juicy and tasted good/different, not like how the grocery store kind of all taste same. The biscuits and gravy were average at best and ok and they don't skimp on the gravy which was nice. The servers were great until I was finished because I didn't get a check even after my server came to the table next to 2 time with my empty plates sitting there. I had to go to the register and ask for my check because I got tired if sitting there. I have another future visit for this town at some point but I won't go back here.

The breakfast burrito and the giant cinnamon roll were great. Even better was our waitress, she was funny and gave excellent service.

I wouldn't use my debit card here if you visit. They double charged my card. GFC! Wonder how many other people they have screwed over.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We ended up at Pullman Bar & Diner three mornings in a…read morerow during our trip, and honestly, it became one of the highlights of our weekend. Every single thing we ordered felt fresh, thoughtful, and just really well done. My kids were obsessed with the chocolate chip pancakes (which says a lot), and my dad and I worked our way through a few different dishes. The biscuits and gravy were comforting and rich without being too heavy, and even the simple eggs were cooked perfectly. But the standout? The breakfast tacos. They were insane. The pork was seasoned perfectly, super flavorful without being overwhelming, and everything just worked together so well. Also, do not skip the fresh squeezed orange juice or the local sourdough with homemade preserves. You can taste the difference. It's one of those places where you can tell they really care about the ingredients. Service was warm and easy, and the vibe just makes you want to sit and stay a while. We'll 100% be back if we're ever in Iowa City again!

The hollandaise sauce with jammy egg on top was fabulous, but the sandwich itself was just ok. Garganelli 2/5. I liked the mushrooms but was disappointed that this dish was rather bland, especially for this price point.

Quick find for us in the area that wasn't fast food but seemed fairly quick for service…read more Diner looking on the outside. Plenty of cars in the parking lot, which is a good sign. Walked in and clearly this is a local hotspot for regulars. We were there on a Sunday(around 10:30am). Gentleman in front of us had the paper and was acknowledged by one of the waitresses to sit at the 2nd blue booth and she would be right with him. Gotta hometown feel. We were seated by an older gentleman (didn't realized he worked there. Looked like a customer). He mumbled "follow me". No "hi" "good morning" Strange but ok. Waiter was also not very talkative. Some might dislike this service or not. I don't really mind. I'm there for food, not chit chat. Coffee, diet pepsi and water. Coffee was real good. International Delight creamer cups already on the table for convenience. Water more than likely was filtered and not straight city water(at least it tasted good to me). I got biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs (over easy). Impressive serving. 2 biscuits cut in half, smothered in sausage peppered gravy. Biscuits we good. Nothing fancy to say about those. Gravy was creamy and plenty of sausage throughout. Perhaps too peppery for my liking but I was able to finish the plate. (Did I mention we were hangry?). Eggs were ok(we are use to farm fresh). Over easy like I ordered. Boyfriend requested House Skillet with choice of toast for side. Imagine a garden, then toss some hash browns in, meats and slap on 2 eggs! All the things in this skillet. Mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomatoes, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cheese-all topped with 2 over easy eggs! Hefty portion! He was happy with it. Not "bangin" but great taste. For the quick decision of stopping here, we were happy. Service was speedy. Just not service with a smile. Perhaps Sundays are their busiest days. Oh forgot to mention! Cheap! Large portions- ain't leavin hungry for a penny pincher!

We decided we would come back and try it for lunch because the breakfast was very good…read more Unfortunately the lunch fell down for us. Smaller salads which is fine, but the honey mustard dressing was skimpy and not best. No bread served with the salad or even salad crackers. My wife had a hamburger and I had a patty melt. Both appeared to be preformed hamburger patties. You can pretty much tell, same shape, not much taste or flavor. My wife said hers was dried out. We go for the diners that use fresh ground beef, hand made. We ate maybe half of each. The fries and onion rings were good, but difficult to justify at +$30 for both meals. Doubtful that we would try much else here for lunch but the breakfast is very good.
