We ordered take out, as there was no outdoor seating, and even with social distancing, we aren't comfortable eating inside with the whole Covid thing. The food was good, two Maid-Rites and some cheese curds. it was hot and tasty The person working there was delightfully sarcastic. I love that, and can dish it right back at 'em. This post is going to be a hard one. I have been going to this particular Maid Rite since the 80's with my dad. We saw servers come and go staying friends with most of them. During Covid we stayed loyal to help the restaurant out and keep them open. I lost my dad to Covid in 2021. Since then my family and I have been going 2-3 times a week sometimes even more often for the service and ambiance we loved it. Over the past 3-4 weeks things have changed service has gone downhill. The new manager is completely rude to the staff making it almost unbearable to be there. Coffee has grounds in it and the regular staff that has been there for years is no where to be found. It's Sad to say but I don't think we will be going back anytime soon. It's not the Maid Rite it was last month. Every time I go in there are less and less regulars. So if anyone knows a good diner with similar ambience in the QC let me know. Oh and this is the managers idea of pancakes-raw on one side with onions on the other smh! It's ok , I think the place is dirty and gross and the bathrooms smell like dirty dish rags. Food wise ok but not fantastic. I think I'd enjoy going more if it was clean and the bathrooms were updated and didn't smell. read more

3 weeks ago, I went to get the 2 for $4.99 Maid Rites and because i am usually satisfied, I didn't think much about what I saw...but i seen a girl add a ton of water to the vat of meat...got side tracked looking at my phone...at home 5-8 minutes later to find dry, grey, luke warm meat...I guess it was the meat that that weird looking water was added to...unfortunately I came at like 7:30 so this is what you get..I guess. I called and am scared to go tonight for them to correct this health code violation. Hopefully I am on the list that they say that I am on. read more

We stopped here recently for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The waitstaff were all screaming at each other. I asked for a skillet with no potatoes. The cook yelled at the waitress he wasn't going to make it that way (and he didn't). My wife's maid rite came out sloppy and full of grease. Worst part was they weren't even understaffed. Typical Maid-Rite look, straight out of the 50s or something, everything WAY dated and I would assume is the real deal! haha Service sucked. Server took over 10 minutes to recognize me and come over and when she did it was to ask what I wanted without me ever seeing a menu. Good thing I just came for the simple Maid Rite with cheese Basket. The place has Pepsi products so that's definitely a downer since Pepsi is a terrible product but they saved it by having Diet Mountain Dew at least. All around me were dirty tables and booths that sat dirty until someone came and sat at them for the server to come clean it in front of them. My sandwich, for being as simple as it is, still took over 10 minutes to come out. Seriously, there is a heat bin in the middle of the open kitchen about 10 feet in front of me that is filled with the ground beef...the servers make the sandwich themselves and give it to you. I can only assume that the server was overwhelmed and the place was short staffed, but as a customer that's not my problem. I forgot to order onion rings cuz the French fries are not impressive.
