My wife needed tennis shoes for an upcoming trip to Europe. She suffers from some foot problems and wanted a lightweight supportive shoe for walking. I looked at Zappos online and found several possibilities but since we had visited Fleet Feet several years ago and had been very satisfied, we decided to visit them first. We received excellent help from Trevor who spent all the time necessary to make sure the fit and comfort was perfect. My wife left with pair of shoes she loves. When we returned home, out of curiosity I checked the price of the shoe on Zappos. It was $1 cheaper but by going to Fleet Feet we got excellent personal service and the perfect shoe. read more

Best experience EVER! I have a unique foot problem that requires surgery but in the meantime, my surgeon recommended that I visit Fleet Feet in Burbank to get some supportive shoes and insoles. From the moment I walked in, I felt comfortable and welcomed. Dan was exceptional and listened to my unique needs before suggesting products. Most times I've gone to Fleet Feet there is a good selection of shoes for my hard-to-fit feet. Although I do not buy this kind of shoe often, the service has been exceptional each time; sales folk most often know a lot about the shoes they sell and how they might fit me. I feel heard about what my specific needs are (and there is even some technology available in the store to enhance the sizing/fitting process, if more information about your feet is needed). I have bought two pairs of shoes here in a few years' time and so far, so good. I was heard and the shoes fit, and they will be on my feet rather than live in the back bottom of my closet with my regret. :-D Also~~have purchased some leg/foot exercisers (a rocker, a small ball, and a muscle roller) that have all proven useful at home. These guys are amazing. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Alex helped me pick out sneakers for walking with my stroller. I was in with my 10-month-old who is very "vocal" and Alex and Rachel were both so sweet to the baby and made us feel welcome and that I could take as much time as I needed to choose the right shoe for me. When I was deciding between 2 pairs, one was $100 and one was $200, Alex recommended the cheaper ones because he knew they were more for walking and the pricier ones were more for running. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell me. When I came in a couple weeks later for laces for another pair of shoes, Rachel remembered us and was so friendly and helpful. I love local businesses like this. I will always check Fleet Feet first before going to any chain. Fleet Feet was recommended to me after a poor experience at Runnergy in Sherman Oaks. What a difference! Open, light and airy with a good selection of merchandise in shoes, clothing and paraphernalia. The key difference is the service. I spent well over 30 minutes with Leo who watched me walk and run, then measured me and made several recommendations for shoes based on my needs. We tried some, revised our selection and I finally found just the right pair for me. No pressure, extremely pleasant and a happy customer as I left the store. My brother called me the day this place opened because he knew I'd want to stop in. I'm glad I finally did. I usually purchase my running shoes from ARC but Fleet Feet opening in Burbank near my parents house is a total plus. I was surprised as I walked through the door by the quality apparel and options. They had a bunch of new Nike and Brooks items and to my surprise a few Brooks items were 30%, a sale is always a good thing! I didn't need shoes today but wanted to check out the selection, which I have to admit seemed to be a bit less than my usual place but they still had a couple of the shoes I usually wear on hand. I purchased a new pair of socks which I am eagerly awaiting to test out (purely synthetic - no cotton) and my go to Gu Chomps. Service was excellent! AND I can't wait to visit them on a Wednesday at 630P for their Pub Run - a few short miles ending with $4 pints at Tony's Darts Away - score! I have been wanting to check that place out as well. So I'm sure I'll be back there Wednesday for this :) They also have free yoga on Thursday evenings at 7P Great store and wonderful addition to the area as Burbank didn't have many stores geared towards runners and this is now a great option for neighborhood peeps. Why haven't I tried this place out before?!! The service is beyond wonderful. They truly are passionate about providing shoes that fit properly. Rachel first watched how I walked then used a 3D scanning technology to take precise measurements. From there, the fun part!! She brought out some shoe selections and assisted me in trying on the shoes. She encouraged me to do similar movements I would normally do when I workout to get a good feel of the shoes I was trying on. I looked ridiculous but it was an absolutely judgement free zone. And it's great, because i got to really feel if the shoes would support me properly during my workouts. I'm super indecisive so when given a lot of choices I literally can't chose. She helped me narrow down my choices and even suggesting trying it on side by side as well as switching the shoes on each side (idk if that makes sense)! She did not rush me and gave me time to really feel out the shoes. It's little things like that that demonstrate her dedication in making sure that I was happy with the fit of the shoes. I adore this store as it's so congenial, knowledgable, and I love that it is not in a large mall. During the shut down, their curbside was helpful to me. The woman who helped me yesterday had an obvious expertise in running shoes, knowing the subtle differences in feel between the various models and even how a particular shoe has changed from year to year. She was able to make good recommendations based on what I have liked in the past, and also helped me to get the right fit which is so important. I have had equally great experiences with other sales associates here in the past, so I was not surprised. I can't imagine buying running shoes anywhere else. And certainly not on the internet. The store itself has a good selection of high quality shoes. My experience with the staff has been poor. I walked in on October 10, 2022 to purchase a pair of Hoka Bondi 8 (roughly paying $185+). In other words not cheap but I already knew what they ran for. I was told that they didn't have my size available at either location and that they would need to order them and that would take 5-10 business days...ok, that's reasonable. I called back for an update on my 8th business day. I was told the order was just placed . Give it another 5-10 business days. I called for an update on October 24, 2022 in the evening and the guy said "we're really busy but let me get your name and number and I'll call you back". He didn't call back. As of today October 27, 2022 I have yet to receive my order. The employee today said "the order has been placed with Hoka but we don't have an exact date of when they should come in. They're hopefully in transit. Call us Friday or we'll call you as soon as they come in. Business day 14, 17 calendar days later...still no shoes...still no concrete ETA. Absolutely FRUSTRATING! Shoes are paid for but I won't shop here ever again or refer anyone to shop at this store!! read more

Awesome store that has everything you need for running. The staff are really knowledgeable and know all the shoes. They don't try to sell you a certain brand, but let you try all of them on so you can decide what's best for you. They always have the newest and greatest brand of running shoes. So if a new version of a certain running shoe is coming out, they will have an order for it. They also have other gear- clothing, hydration packs, reflective clothing, socks, hats, compression sleeves, and lights. They have a great selection of trail running shoes as well. The store is nice and clean and they do a lot in the community . Check out their free runs on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and Saturday mornings at 8:30am. They also have a great LA marathon training program, spring trail training program and fall half marathon training programs with coaches and mentors. Plus numerous trail runs throughout the year. We entered, were greeted by a young lady and she explained they were at capacity and asked us to wait outside, we apologized and went to wait outside until a few people left. While out there I looked for signs that I may have missed letting customers know how many people they could have in the store at one time but didn't find anything. Also didn't find any indication of where a waiting line outside started. A few people left and we entered. Again we were told they were at capacity and to please wait outside, I explained we had been waiting outside and when other customers exited the store we entered. Then I was informed they actually had people inside the store who were waiting to begin shopping. So the line didn't start outside, it actually starts inside? This is a small business with limited staff, but I still feel like this protocol could have been communicated better. If there isn't enough staff to keep an eye on the doors and let waiting customers know they can enter, then maybe a sign? Or at least explain that someone will come to let you know when the next customer can enter? Bad communication is a pet peeves of mine so when we finally got inside I was pretty annoyed and all set to just pick up the basic running shoes I was looking for and go. Valerie came up to me and started asking questions about what I was looking for and how often I run,etc... It's hard to stay grumpy when the attendant is so cheerful. She seems to really enjoy her job and be very knowledgable about the merchandise to the point where she could describe how each shoe felt to run in. Ok...I only wish the person on the phone yesterday told me I could make an appointment haha (COVID-19 rules). I figured it wouldn't be busy on the day of NYE. I was wrong. I waited 30/40 to get in. She was able to understand my issues, discuss them, and find some really great solutions. I guess I got the one over-caffeinated sales rep who wasn't capable of giving me her full attention, zipping around, helping three other people while she brought out the wrong size shoes for me again and again, or not hearing what my needs were, making me wait in frustration until she finally brought out the correct size or the right kind of shoe. The other sales rep started working with another customer before I was helped and worked with her the entire time I was there, selling her one pair of shoes. A third rep did the same. Well, they lost a big sale with me because I typically buy several pairs in one visit and this experience may have put me off the Hoka brand altogether even though I was pretty much determined to get at least a couple of pairs there that day. The good sales rep, who seemed nice enough, could've remedied the situation by simply apologizing when I told her I was frustrated by my wait, but she chose not to. Perhaps they feel that kind of earnestness or concern for a customer in need is beneath them. If you're sensitive about people wasting your time, do not come to this store. read more
