From all of the great reviews on Yelp, I decided I needed to make the leap and try this salon out. Upon entry, I was greeted immediately. I wanted a pedicure and SNS. Elli, the nail tech told me to pick my toenail color and we can decide on the SNS color later. Pedicure was great, and overall took about an hour. They have no samples for any of the SNS colors, which makes it nearly impossible to pick a color because the powder looks nothing like the finished product. She had me pick out my color based off of a gel (not SNS) sample and proceeds to bring four different shades of purple SNS during the last little bit of my pedicure. We finally started my SNS and she just couldn't get it right. My left hand was okay, but my entire right hand had terrible quality. My pointer finger was blotchy and had clear see through spots, which was super noticeable with purple SNS. My middle finger had weird bumps in the SNS. She proceeds to fix my pointer finger and decides to buff it down and then gets mad at me and starts blaming me for not remembering the exact name/shade number of the SNS color that I got. We think we find the color and she redips my pointer finger, but it's way off. We then try to find the right color. We think we have it and this time she buffs down my entire right hand and redips it. Now, my right hand turned out way darker than my left hand. At this point, I've been at the salon for three hours and I could burst into tears. She then tells me she's not fixing it tonight because she wants to go home and I would have to come back. The entire time I feel like she was relaying a different message to her salon manager, making me feel like I was the one in the wrong, but if she were up to par on SNS, I would have already left the salon happy with my nails. Her salon manager says why don't I stay and we can fix them tonight. They then re wrap all of my nails to soak off the SNS color and she files it off in a hurry, which we all know is terrible for your nails. The original tech Elli then leaves and her salon manager takes over. 4 hours later, my hands are so dry for soaking in acetone for a good hour combined. My cuticles are cut from all of the filing. The only reason why they are getting two stars is the office manager Tracy and the fact that she made it right by fixing my nails. If any of the other techs are as bad as Elli, I would say run not walk away from this salon. read more

Went in for a pedi after reading yelp reviews. Anna did my pedicure and it was the best pedi I've had since I came to Phoenix a year ago. Much cleaner than your average nail salon as well and they use the tub liners for pedis. Have booked another appointment for a pedicure and fill in 2 weeks. read more

While I love the way my nails come out, don't expect to make an appt and have them be on time. Very frustrating - they can make you wait up until an hour after your actual appt time. So if you have time to kill and can spend a couple hours, this is your place - they do a great job on nails. Just terrible with your time. read more

There is a reason why this place is called Five Star Nails ans Spa and the reviews are all 5 stars. This is the best nail salon my mom and I have ever been to. We feel like we have brand new feet after our pedicure. The staff is super friendly and talkative. I dropped in today to see if I could make an appointment for a pedicure and gel manicure. I was told that they could take me right away. By the time I picked my colors, my pedicure chair was ready. Rose was great. One of the best massages I've ever had and my toes look wonderful! Tommy took off my polish and filed my nails while I was getting my pedi. Very efficient! As soon as my pedi was done, Tommy started on a gel manicure. It looks great! I was in and out in an hour. Overall a great experience. I will definitely go back! read more

To be clear beforehand my nails were done fantastically. The reason why I'm writing a review is the way the manager treated me. I called at 3:30 to see if I could get an appt at 4 he said yes come in. I checked in at 4. Waited 30 mins before I was even acknowledged. 50 mins till I was seated when I called ahead to ensure when I got there I'd be getting sns done on my nails because I was in a time crunch. They took THREE WALKINS BEFORE ME. The lady who was supposed to originally do my nails immediately went and talked to the manager about the design and it being sns. She wanted to do acrylic but I was confused on why I couldn't do my normal sns base color and than the gel design like I have done at this salon every time. The manager comes over and says acrylic will be cheaper and I was trying to explain that I didn't understand why I couldn't do sns I prefer it over acrylic. He says and I quote "come back when you find cheaper then $70" I told him I'm not worried about the cost I prefer sns. He walks away and 20 mins later sits me with another person who has no problem doing what I originally wanted. After being there an hour and half and not have had my nails done yet I had to put my ego aside and wait and get my fucking nails done because that was the only time I had available to. Trust me I wanted to walk right on out after the manager was incredibly disrespectful and down right rude. After the guy finished my nails I go to pay like I said I'm not worried about the money the manager goes 65 and my ticket said 60 so I told him then he yells at the guy across the shop in a different language. Than proceeds to ask if I want to tip (I did tip the guy that did my nails because he did a great and he wasn't the problem). With personally being in the customer service I am utterly shocked that the manager treats his customers like that on top of the wait. When you make an appt you do so to not wait. Not the case here. I'll come back when the manager has better customer service. I also got my nails done cause I was having a rough day and getting my nails done makes me feel better and from the way the manager treated me I left feeling worse. read more

I decided to switch up my nail place since the old place I was going to was really understaffed. As I walked in I was happy to find a familiar face. Kenny who had been doing my nails at a different salon several years ago is the manager. He assured me I would be very well taken care of and I was. I had such a great experience with my pedicure I decided to get acrylic nails put on. The tech who did my nails was super precise and quick. Everytime I get my nails done I am very pleased with the consistent level of service

I was looking for a salon for a gel Manicure because my nail lady in Tempe was off today and it was the only day I could do it. A friend recommended me this salon so I took her word for it. I will never return. The lady asked me what shape, I told her square. She says "I'll try!" Why ask then!? Next we were picking a color. I told her I wanted a pinkish white that wasn't too shear. What some would say is the normal nude pink people are looking for. She recommended a color I took her word for it. Upon first coat, it was way too shear. I didn't like it at all. When I recommended adding a white coat in between the three coats, that's when it got bad. She was arguing with me, wouldn't do what I asked. Stated "I told you a different color. You picked it!" And just had the worst attitude the entire time. Received the worst massage ever and didn't even do the coats evenly. Terrible customer service and I'm sad my one visit was ruined by one lady. Would love to give it another try but will never return to the lady in the third row, all the way at the end. If you want to go here, the lady in the third row, first chair closest to the pedicure station was much nicer. Wish I had her! read more

Went with my husband this week after seeing the grand opening sign. They are SO friendly. The place is very clean and nice. I took my fiancee' there for a mani and pedi. I forget who she saw but this lady really took her time to do a really great job. She told my fiancee' that the last place she had a gel mani done they double baked it which she said was very bad. She had to really work to get all the old gel mani off.
