The magic manicure, color 148 :)

I've been to Daisy twice now to get my nails done, both times had "the magic" done. My nails the first time lasted four weeks! That's with working in health care too, constant hand sanitizer and hand washing. Daisy is sweet as can be! Great conversationalist, cute little studio, love the music she plays . She really perfects her work and takes her time. There is absolutely no chemical smell what so ever in her studio which is an added bonus! Highly highly recommend her services!

I asked for the mani to match my dress, and it did!

Excellent nails and good company! I went here to get Valentine's Day nails. I did a gel polish mani and regular polish pedi. I asked for it to match my dress and she did. She was able to see me on a Sunday afternoon (Super Bowl Sunday). She's a great conversationalist. She opened the business in 2021 and deserves our support! The process was so gentle, unlike other places where you can feel it or they cut your cuticle). I definitely want to go again. Highly recommend!

Clean and blingy mail spa with very accommodating attitude. I was late by an hour for my appointment but they still made sure I get what I needed. They have the most amount of gel colors to choose from I have seen thus far at a nail salon! I originally came in for an sns on natural nails but the main lady there suggested I do gel as sns will make my nails too thin. Pretty helpful and not money minded. P.s. Remember to carry cash as you cannot add tip to your check but pay by cash only

Sorry, what? So misleading to start my service immediately but expecting her to sit there with her feet in water for 45min...they knew we would have gone somewhere else if they said there was a 45 min wait for two services together. There are too many other good nail places around now to bother here again. Was also not busy at all and really run down inside, which shows the decline in popularity. The tech was apologetic, and this was not her fault, but the gentleman (manager?) kept saying we should make appointments next time. Based on a scan of the reviews here that doesn't appear to be the solution either.

From the ease of scheduling to the experience itself and the service, everything was top notch. I was impressed by how large the spa was and how many people could get a service at the same time. I have a feeling this is my new go-to place when I need a pedicure in the future. I only was planning on a Basic Pedicure service today, which included nail and cuticle care, massage, hot stone and towel, and polish (though I did not need the polish). There was an add-on for exfoliation scrub or callus care if I wanted either, and also an extra cost for gel polish. The Desert Pedicure includes both the exfoliation scrub and callus care in addition to the basic pedicure. The Desert Deluxe Pedicure includes the Desert Pedicure plus rejuvenating cooling masque and extended massage. The DNS Ultimate Pedicure includes the Desert Deluxe Pedicure plus refreshed & revitalized (infused with organic virgin olive oil deeply hydrate and soothe skin), detoxifying sea salt soak, callus remover gel, exfoliating sugar scrub, nourishing gel masque, hydrate cucumber treatment, and silky butter cream. For today, I stuck with the basic pedicure though I may try an add-on in the future. When I sat down in a chair to soak my feet, I was offered a still or sparkling water. There was a nice ambiance with soothing music, and I was sitting in a massage chair. There were fun nail or nail polish related quotes on the wall. My nail tech checked on how I was doing throughout. There were 14 people being worked on at a time, which was impressive, yet there were many empty chairs, so they could work on a lot more. I saw them put up special pillows for kids who were getting nail work done. I appreciated afterwards when I was paying that they had a 10% off promotion when paying with cash. The Desert Nail Spa has two nearby locations: Kierland (Greenway) and Tatum. hey are open on weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. They first opened in Tempe in 1998 and have expanded to other locations across the valley. They strive to integrate innovation into the nail salon industry. You can learn more about them at https://desertnailspa.com including their story, their services, their locations, and their gallery. There is also an online booking system where you can request specific nail technicians or a specific gender of a nail tech and make an appointment in advance. The price of services is also listed. Desert Nail Spa considers itself the "Best Nail Salon" in Phoenix. Based on my experience today, I would certainly agree!

Disappointing Experience, Especially for a Family Outing…read more Unfortunately, this was not the best experience, especially being new to the area. My mom and mother-in-law were visiting from out of town, and we wanted to create a special memory together with my 3-year-old daughter by getting manicures and pedicures. I specifically chose this salon because I saw photos of a little girl getting her toes done, so I assumed it would be a family-friendly place. After we were seated in the pedicure chairs with our feet already in the water, one of the employees asked how old my daughter was. When I told her she was 3, she immediately responded that they don't service children under 4 because "they don't sit still." Honestly, it wasn't necessarily the policy that bothered me, but the way it was communicated. It caught me completely off guard. My daughter has been getting her nails painted for quite some time, and I reassured her that she would sit still and be perfectly fine. After a little back and forth, I decided it was best for my daughter and me to leave without receiving any services. At that point, the special experience I had envisioned just didn't feel special anymore. My mom and mother-in-law were already settled into their pedicures, so I encouraged them to stay and enjoy their time. Unfortunately, they said their nail services were just okay, nothing particularly impressive. As someone who recently moved to the area, I'm always looking for great local businesses to support. I completely understand that salons have policies, but I also believe how you communicate those policies and treat your customers makes all the difference. What was supposed to be a sweet memory with three generations of girls turned into a disappointing experience. Sadly, we won't be returning.
