This is the only place that I go to for my nails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]David always gets me an appointment quickly and I never have to wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ana is absolutely amazing at making sure the vibe is luxurious and relaxing. There have been times that I've booked a pedicure so I can sit in one of their new massage chairs. The whole team is absolutely amazing. We are in town visiting friends for Thanksgiving. My friend and I brought 3 girls - 5, 11 and 11 called the day before and made an appointment. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were great, very good with the girls it was the 5 year olds 1st pedicure and they were so sweet with them and even put the Grinch Who Stole Christmas on for the girls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very good service and everyone's mani and pedis turned out great. This place is a hidden gem! It is the best nail salon I have been to. While it's not a very big salon, the service is outstanding. They pay attention to every little detail, take their time, and the outcome is a perfect pedicure experience. Their prices are the lowest I have seen anywhere, and their basic pedicure includes all the extras that other salons charge way more for. I've been coming to this salon for a few years now & love it. Anna, David, Jenny, & Patrick are amazing people & so nice. They are so friendly & kind. I absolutely love the service & attention to detail they provide. I've even had a "pedi-party" a couple times with friends there. Today Anna went above & beyond for me. I wasn't feeling well all of a sudden & had to lay down. Once I recovered, Anna drove me home, with David following behind, to make sure I got home safely. She's a real angel! read more

OBSESSED with my new rose gold nails by Anna!! She is the BEST in the business. I have only recently started coming back to get my nails done because of COVID, and I'm so glad that I did. Anna is taking all the precautions and safety measures. There is a barrier up between me and her, and only 1 other customer at a time in the salon. I felt very safe and protected being there. I'm more exposed at the grocery store than with Anna. HIGHLY recommend. Would update and give her 10 starts if I could!! read more

I recommend Whimsical nails, the environment is very relaxing but I especially recommend my foot therapist Phoenix. She did an amazing job after a stressful day at work. I started going to Ana and her friendly team at Whimsical nails when the nail salon I had been going to was not clean anymore. Whimsical nails is kept very clean. I love chatting with all of them as they give me my mani pedi. They are very caring and remember everyone who walks in and greet them. They do a great job on my manicures and pedicures. My grand daughter loves joining me. She says likes my nail salon better than her mom's because they're so nice. If I hadn't visited In a while, Ana has called to make sure I was okay and when I will come in. Very sweet people. Always accommodating if I need to come in on short notice. read more

This is where I go now! I was looking for a pedicure on maps, one Sunday. They were able to take me nowI was greeted with welcome smiles and greetings (not just "pick a color"!!!). Patrick very gently did my pedicure, last one I had was so rough and rushed I thought I may never subject myself again! The location is a little hidden, so let me tell you, it sits directly across from the side of Artie's Ace Hardware building (S) on Thunderbird @Tatum Blvd. In the same center as FedEx office (E, in the very corner of the center) Their prices are very reasonable. I usually go to TP Nails and Spa, but felt like trying something else out just for fun, I ended up at Whimsical Nails. When I arrived, the place was completely empty (this was the first sign). The guy at the front was eager to get me in a seat, he was super nice and helpful. I was handed off the the nail tech, showed her the image of what I wanted. (something very simple). She nodded and began. As we were going through, the nails seemed to be different lengths and the acrylic was HEAVY and bulky. I was watching and see was putting multiple coats of acrylic. I had asked her if this would eventually be filed down to look nice and then, she replied with "Later" after finishing my first hand, I just HAD to ask again because the whole "trust the process" was out the window. "This will all be shaved down right?" she replied with, "Yesss, is this your first time?" in a voice that seemed as if she was annoyed. I hesitated but answered her question with, "This is my first time here but not my first time getting this exact set". A few seconds later, she asked me where I was from. Which seemed very unusual to me. It felt like her question meant something else (iykyk). I said, Michigan. Even though I have been living in Arizona for the last 6 years. I texted my mom (who I had been texting since I walked in) and I was asking if I was losing my mind or if this was actually wrong. Yes I could have asked her to stop and gotten up, but I was hoping this was just her technique and it would look better in the end. After the acrylic was on both hands she began filing and shaving, she had shaved some of the unnecessary acrylic she had placed on my nail off but it was still big and bulky. I had asked her if she could make them thinner and possibly more of a square. she proceeded to tell me that if she made it any thinner it would break. (which was not true, i have always had my nails "thin" and they lasted very long. I also didn't expect them to be paper thin but at least thinner than what they were.) I went to the picture and showed her the image again, she said "Yes, those are thick look at it". (you guys let me know if I am crazy. compare the two pictures). Once we were finished I still thanked her and tipped for her time and my "complaining" I guess. But I was very upset with the outcome and soaked them off once I got home. This was not a great experience for me and unfortunately I will never go there again. I will 102% stick with TP Nails & Spa! They are very comforting people who listen, understand, and give you exactly what you ask for and not what THEY want to do. read more

Someone posted a review saying the shop was dirty. That is completely untrue! This shop is the best salon I've ever been too. The owner and techs are pros and very talented. They never hurry you out the door but give you full and excellent service. I've tried other salons in the Phoenix area but none measure up. I highly recommend them and will continue to take friends, family and visitors there. read more

I liked this shop because they were able to get me in immediately, no wait at all. The nail tech who did my nails was David. He did exactly what I wanted and was professional. The only down fall is that the shop is dirty and the bottles of polish are questionable due to the lack of cleanliness. Over all I have no complaints regarding my nails. read more

I've made appointments, and I've also done walk ins, and every time they are accommodating. I of course am always flexible as well because they all work extremely hard and have busy lives and families outside of the salon. I walked in at 9:30, they got me in right away for a pedicure and my 10 yr old for a nail trim and paint. The massage chairs are new and wonderful. Nice long foot and leg rub. This will be my new go to for pedicures. read more

I've never had a go-to nail salon, until I started coming here! Now I won't go anywhere else. Anna does the BEST manicure in the valley. I'm really particular about the almond shape on my nails and she always gets it just right. My gels stay on for 3+ weeks and are still in perfect shiny condition! I've also seen Coco a few times and she does a fantastic job as well. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming. I'd recommend Whimsical Nails to anyone who wants a perfect manicure done by pros! read more

I'm happy that Anna fixed my nails for me and I still have all of them and none feel like they are about to fall off. I even accidentally banged one of my fingers at work and didn't lose the nail. After being a LOYAL customer for YEARS, Anna just decided that she didn't want to do my nails anymore. No explanation or anything. Then, to top it off, she sends her husband (who barely speaks English) to tell me. No phone call either. They waited until I showed up to tell me. That is a new level of cowardice. If she doesn't want me to be a customer anymore, she could at least have the decency to tell me why. After so many years, I think I deserve that. Half the time her husband did my nails, when my appt was with HER!! He is so unfriendly, doesn't speak English, and would just grab my hand and like, jerk it around. Very rough. If you require respect and politeness, don't go to them. She knew who I was and when I would call, but never say hi. I always said, "Hi Anna, it's Laine." She would just say, "Yeah." Very rude. My husband was astonished when he heard that. I don't recommend them at all. read more

I have been coming here since 2011 I loooooove this place. Always clean, staff polite and happy. Anna has been doing my nails all this time and she's amazing. Very attentive to detail and precise. These pictures are a COUPLE OF WEEKS OLD, but look how intact they still are. No chips still full of shine. And I am still getting tons of complements on them Color: Lincoln park after dark. My girlfriend and her two daughters have been going to Ana for many many years and I get to have a pedicure on occasion. Ana David and the whole team at Whimsical Nails are always courteous and professional and do a quality job for a reasonable price. My girlfriend had an issue once with an ingrown nail and they saw her immediately to take care of it at no cost. I would recommend them. This is a very great place to be pampered! Clean and very attentive to what you want. I went in today, chose nail color thinking it's a dark purple. I should do tangerine. This is the family-owned business you love to support I've been going to Whimsical Nails regularly for... five years? probably more than that. It's run by a husband-and-wife couple who are wholly dedicated to providing good service, and most of their staff have worked there for the entire time I've been a regular. Obviously, they do great work. They're also friendly, and they go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. If they're overloaded with business -- sometimes things do get rushed, particularly on weekends! -- they tell you how long a wait it'll be. If I can't get to Whimsical Nails (such as on their Tuesday day off), I just don't get my nails done. I'd rather wait for a few days then deal with strangers. I'm not sure I could offer a better statement of loyalty! read more

AMAZING! I have been trying different nail salons for a few years for my daughter. She loves to get acrylics done usually with some special design (something I can only afford to do for her a couple of times a year as a single mom) and we had not found a place that we liked, until now. The people here were SO friendly, the quality of work was top notch. It's about on par with everyone else as far as pricing goes but well worth it for the quality and service we received. We have found our nail home and will continue coming here. 10/10 recommend!!! read more

As a first time customer I was very impressed. Anna did my nails and she was absolutely amazing. She was very professional and kind. She removed my old acrylics and applied new acrylics without tips. Anna allowed me to zelle her money which was very convenient for me and made it very easy to tip, as I am someone who doesnt like to carry cash. Needless to say I found my new favorite nail salon and will be back when my nails need to be redone! read more

I have been going there for quite some time. I went and had a pedicure done. The nails looked smudged. At the same time they had a second person to do a simple manicure on me. I felt like I was being tugged from both directions. I did not enjoy either service. My nails were wet when I was told to leave to free up the chair. My nails were smudged before I walked out the door. Will not be back. read more

Needed a nail fixed and stopped in - no one greeted me, just looked at me. So I said "hi I'm looking to have dip done on one broken nail, do you have anyone available?", the girl's response after she chuckled was "no we don't have time for just one broken nail"... there were 2 customers in the whole place. Went down the street to a much nicer place place with a store full of people and they got me in right away. Rudeness won't help your lack of business! read more

There were 14 people being worked on at a time, which was impressive, yet there were many empty chairs, so they could work on a lot more. I saw them put up special pillows for kids who were getting nail work done. I appreciated afterwards when I was paying that they had a 10% off promotion when paying with cash. Just as background, let me mention that I have been coming to this location for years before the new owners acquired the business, so I was happy with the service I received in the past. I also used to go regularly for their top of line "Deluxe Pedicure" and manicure with the new owners. Then last month, I was made aware of my unimportance as a customer. Apparently, it doesn't matter how many extra services you order from their menu, their main concern is the amount of time they spends on a pedicure -- no more than one hour, whether you're paying for the basic pedicure requiring fewer steps, or the deluxe pedicure requiring several more services-- it really doesn't matter. All Pedicures are one hour. That's because their priority is not the customer's experience. The rule in their head is "a pedicure is no more than one hour long, and that's what's most important to Tiffany Nails. And their "customer last" policy also extends to your time. Even if you make an appointment, they are almost always at least 15 to 20 minutes late, and it has been several times that I've had to come back at another time altogether for their convenience. That does not fly when you have several other commitments! Sometimes it's just not worth the effort to be a regular customer in a place where you're not appreciated. So after nearly 20 years of going to Tiffany nails, they just permanently lost a good client. There are plenty of other businesses that truly appreciate your patronage.
