I would give this place -10 stars if I could, and I didn't even get my nails done. I called the in the morning asking if they had an APPOINTMENT opening for 3-3:15. The man told me "No we're not busy just walk in" (even after I insisted I wanted an appointment). I got there at 3:05 and NO ONE even said hi or acknowledged me. I had to awkwardly butt in and ask him how long the wait would be for a gel manicure. He literally responded with "I don't know" and just told me to "check in" on their kiosk. At no point did he even take the time to look at me or hand me a polish pallet for me to look at while waiting. As I was waiting, a woman had been trying to pay and he refused to acknowledge her or take her payment as well. It was very messy and cluttered in the "waiting" area also. I walked out without getting my nails done because I didn't even want to know how my nails would turn out. Terrrrrrible customer service, business management, and general niceties. Super disappointed in this salon. I've been a client here for the past five years. Before Covid I would get my nails done every 3 weeks. Since Covid, I've only been in a handful of times and each time I would have to wait for at least 20-30 mins for my pedicure appointment. It doesn't seem like much, but with 3 kids at home, time efficiency is very important right now. If my appointment's at 2pm I shouldn't have to wait until 2:30. Today was the last straw. I called to make an appointment and the owner said they're walk-in only. It's great that they are busy especially after the year we've all had, but as a long time client this was very disappointing. I feel like they no longer value their loyal clients. If they did, they would take appointments. Not everyone has the luxury of waiting around 30 mins for a pedicure. I called the place down the street and they were able to get me in right away. I will no longer be wasting my time with this salon. read more

I went to this place for the first time today and they are awesome! The staff is very nice and I didn't have to wait at all. Not to mention that have a bazillion gel colors to choose from (sorted out by brand, which someone OCD like me can appreciate). Also a wall full of regular polish to choose from. Lee did my gel manicure and she's great. She took her time and made sure they were perfect and even asked me if I wanted a 3rd coat instead of assuming or disregarding it. She made certain that they were done how I wanted them to be done, rather than how the nail tech thinks they should be done. I am very picky with my nails, but I was a very happy customer walking out of there today. She actually did them square, which most don't. This is a second location from the original salon on Scottsdale. They just opened about 6 months ago. I would recommend them! Oh and prices are great. $25 for gel and no charge to take off current gel. read more

It has taken me almost an entire year to find a nail salon close to my house that I love. A friend of mine recommend five star and I am so happy I tried them! They offer SNS nails, which I am hooked on, and they do them so well. I have had multiple different technicians and they have all done fantastic jobs. I never have to wait, the salon is pretty large and they have a decent amount of staff. Pricing is fair and they are always kind! I can't say enough good things about them! BONUS the massage chairs for pedicures are probably some of the best I have sat in at a salon, I practically fall asleep each time. And they have a HUGE selection of colors in regular, gel and SNS polish. read more

I like this place, I've been to "5 star nails" a total of two visits to have a pedicure. Nina does a great job and the prices are reasonable. I have nothing to complain about, the chairs were clean, the salon is well lit and sanitary measures(gloves, tank liners)are standard practice which makes me feel comfortable. I called ahead for my 2nd visit to make sure I could get in, my first visit I walked in and had no wait. My feet feel great when I leave and I will return soon. read more

I don't get my nails done SUPER regularly but when I do, I come here and have been for a few years now. I go to a different person every time because I unfortunately can never remember names to request someone in particular but it always ends up working out. I've had consistently good gel pedicures and manicures every time. I hate to drop stars for a company, however I feel that quality of service has declined. I'm not what you call a regular customer but when I need nails done I always come here because I know they are clean. Sanitization is still #1 and they are good with that... that is expected and that is 3 stars for expected. The reason they dropped 2 stars was because they couldn't do my desired wedding design on one nail and I had to settle for silver line and crystals. Secondly, I sent my fiance (now husband) to get a manicure for his first time and his nails looked worse than when he came in. They needed to buff them shiny and file them - that's all they needed to do. Instead they clipped them too short and left them jagged, and the buffing left them looking scratched up not shiny. His cuticles dont look soft... in fact his cuticles looked totally fine when he went in, but he came home and they looked red and irritated. I hate to leave the review this way, but for wedding photos with close ups of our fingers showing our rings, I cannot say i trust to come back after this, especially my husband. read more

Five star nails is under new management. We have been going here for years. Our Mother's Day gift to my mom and grandma turned into a nightmare. My Omi has rheumatoid arthritis, her toes are crooked. They wouldn't give her a pedicure. We left and gave our business to Fancy Nails!!! Steer clear of this place!! Wow this place is super impressive very clean and neat. Great service, they stayed late for us out of towners in need of manipedi during a conference. They have these great chair pan liners that are removed to be discarded at the end of each client. This was almost as impressive to me as the perfectly bright and clean bathroom!!!! I went here because the reviews were good and it was close to home. What a find! I had a great gel manicure from Nina. She was so careful and precise. My nails look amazing. I got a fun mint green color Nina suggested now that spring is coming. Everyone here speaks great English and Nina was fun to talk to. Not only that, it's very clean, people are friendly and they already have regulars after being open for only 4 months. I'm coming back. This is my nail place now. I used to absolutely swear by this place. Today I went in and the lady cut my finger, they didn't even offer to take any of the price off. Plus, I was told a child's pedicure is $17 with a free design.....which is always what I've paid in the past. Today they charged me the price of an adult pedicure for a 9 year old PLUS an additional cost for the flower on her toe. I'm extremely disappointed. I left without tipping since they charged me $11 dollars more than I was told originally and had a cut finger. read more

The spa itself is beautiful and large and I think that I will go again. However my nail technician made this not a desirable experience. I had Sang (or Handsome Sam as he refers to himself) and he spent the entire hour either criticizing or micromanaging how I hold every finger, or out and out mocking me when I stared off into space or sighed. I'm not certain if he is aware that he's in a service industry and it's not polite to mock the person paying $50 for your service. To his credit his nails are well done and he clearly cares about his work which I appreciate, but you should probably draw the line at mocking people. Normally nails are not about the experience for me so if he didn't interact with me I probably would go to him again because he does good work, but I was so uncomfortable with his behavior that I will request another technician in the future. read more

I had been going to this place forever and then moved about 15 mins away and found a different salon closer to home. I recently started driving the extra 10 minutes to come back to this one. They do an amazing job, the owner talks to you by your first name, and the prices are very reasonable. I've never felt uncomfortable once in this salon. The other one cut my foot two different times on consecutive occasions with the callus remover -_-. Nasty dark scars from it. Not here! read more
