This spot was a letdown. It's definitely one of those places where the food looks good on photos, but the flavor doesn't live up to the hype. I tried two of their popular dishes, the Moroccan scramble and ricotta pancakes, and while they were beautifully presented, they fell flat taste wise. I had to rely on hot sauce and pancake syrup to get through them. I finished my meal only because I hate wasting food; otherwise, it would have been left untouched. The space itself is very cozy, borderline uncomfortable. Seating is extremely tight, to the point where you're practically pressed up against strangers. If you're not okay with close quarters (and close scents), this might not be for you. It's a small place with bar seating and some outdoor tables, and when we came around 10:30am on a weekend, it was already packed. Expect a possible wait and a waitlist. Service was just okay, no real check ins and more of a quick, transactional feel, almost diner like. Overall, this place did not match what I envisioned. With so many great options in Brooklyn, I'd personally skip this one and try somewhere else.

Brunch review Was able to snag a two person outside table for brunch. Wait was only 10 minutes, but I can't imagine how busy it will be during peak season. Reservations are definitely recommended. They have extensive outdoor seating which is great during the nice weather, but indoor seating is limited. They do have a bar with counter service. Eclectic menu with something for everyone. The ricotta pancakes were popular and I can see why. They were light, fluffy and perfectly paired with the fruit. Best to share. The Moroccan scramble was good, but could've used a bit more spice. We love the drinks, especially the lifeboat Sadly didn't get the homemade croissants, but that will be for next time.

I was going to an event at Warsaw and was looking for restaurants in the area to get dinner prior. The location is pretty great! It's right next to McCarren Park and it seems pretty lively with ample outdoor seating and a small cozy indoor area. The seating inside is pretty small, so try to make reservations in advance. The ambience and service was great. Our server was very attentive and checked in on us a few times. There was great music. It was a great place to chat and enjoy some drinks on happy hour. The food was ok. I got the pan seared salmon which was good. I enjoyed the little crisps and sauce it came in. A friend got the fettuccine which wasn't the best? The noodles were very bland, it had no flavor. The saving grace was the eggplant fritters. The cheese bread was a nice appetizer. I would recommend for the vibes and the fun area that it's in, but gotta give the food another go!

Brunch Vibes Worth the Hype! Had brunch with my cousin and let me just say, every bit of the hype is so well deserved. We went on a weekday around 11am, so it wasn't too busy, which made it even more enjoyable. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the friendly staff. That energy sets the tone right away! I'd read about the Ricotta Pancakes and had to see what the fuss was about, they did not disappoint. We also had the Grain Bowl with a side of steak and halloumi, and every bite was packed with flavor and texture. I don't drink alcohol, but I love a good mocktail. "Waters of Life" was a winner--especially if you're into bold ginger and turmeric flavors like I am. Best part? You can treat yourself without breaking the bank. Trust me, this spot is a gem. I'll definitely be back soon!

Greenpoint staple next to McCarran Park offering big tastes with lively atmosphere and quality service. Whether it's brunch, dinner or just drinks, this corner spot is the place to be.

One of those classic brunch spots that gets packed once the weather warms up. They've got all the usual American staples, but the real standout? That kale salad!! So good, perfectly dressed, a little spicy, and topped with toasted hazelnuts Also got the ricotta pancakes, super fluffy with honeycomb butter. Very good. The spicy chicken sandwich hit the spot but not a must order. ricotta pancakes $22 black kale salad $16* spicy chicken sandwich $20 날씨 풀리면 사람 꽉 차는 브런치 맛집.

Very cute/cozy brunch spot, stopped in on a random Monday morning with the girls. Bartenders and servers were amazing and welcoming, the food was amazing as well. I'd certainly recommend this cute spot, you don't be disappointed.

I got to try their Five Leaves Burger, and I found it to be a very interesting combination of sweetness from the beet and pineapple with the savoriness of the beef. Personally, I felt it's more suited for people who enjoy that type of contrast--like those who like pineapple on pizza--though it wasn't exactly to my taste. One small thing that threw me off: when I ordered, the waitress asked if I wanted cheese. I said yes, but it wasn't mentioned that it would be an extra $2 until I saw it on the bill. It's on the menu, but I think a heads-up would've been nice. Honestly, I feel like burgers should just come with cheese by default, so it felt a bit nickel-and-dimed. It came out to be almost $30 for the burger.

A great place for a casual brunch if you're in the Greenpoint area. The restaurant itself is very small so you'll be super close to others and no reservations available- walk in only. I had to wait 30-40 min. The food was great. I feel for the price ($20) for for the big brekky, which included eggs, hash browns, toast, and your choice of 2 sides, it's a great bang for your buck. Tip: choose the baked beans for one of the sides and thank me later. We had spicy margs and they had the perfect amount of alcohol. Service was efficient, no complaints. Overall, I would return but I'm not the biggest fan of restaurants where people are literally seated on top of you. However, the food was great so I will probably make an exception.

I might have set my expectations too high and got disappointed. I do not recommend Five Leaves for its food and service. If you are looking for good food don't go. But if what you want is coffee (latte, cappuccino or an espresso martini) then go ahead and try it out, it's pretty good. Food: the food was blah. Nice presentation but that's about it. We had the ricotta pancakes, most of us agreed that they were too dense and not fluffy enough, it becomes overwhelming after the first 2 bites. One thing that I appreciated was that the fruits were fresh and sweet. The Moroccan scramble was ehhh. It is stacked on top of the bread and to get to the bottom of the plate it's a hassle and it's messy. The taste is not spectacular but it's edible. The burger was ok, nothing special. The chicken sandwich was good, not great. Ohhh but wait...their mussels were delicious. We enjoyed the coconut curry sauce and the fresh cilantro. Service: the best way that I can describe the service in one word is...neglectful. The waitress was not rude, but we already had our plates in the table when I had to ask for water for the table. The glasses were sitting on the table empty for 30-45 min. We asked for a hot chocolate (along with the rest of the order) it took like 30 min to come out, after we all had our coffee. Ambiance: is serene, cool, comfortable. The decor is very nice. Unfortunately I will not be going back and I do not recommend the restaurant because of the service and the food. Buuuut...their coffee is pretty good, I wish they put the same amount of love in their customer service and food that they put in their coffee. lol.

this is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Brooklyn. the black kale Caesar salad will change your life. Service is always awesome and we're lucky to have a local establishment like five leaves. This is also an elite date spot. Start here and see where the night takes you.

We sat in the outside covered seating in which could have used a bit more cleaning. But was suitable as we wanted to park our bikes in sight. Ordered the burger and steak plates with frozen watermelon margaritas. Burger style is thick and juicy and messy, slathered with spicy mayo (huge fan). Truffle fries were delicious and plentiful. My partner liked the steak as he ate it all unless he was just very hungry. The margaritas were strong and tasty - perfect for a summer evening. A friend suggested this place as Bernie's wait was too long, and scratched my burger itch!

The music is at a low enough volume that you can hear your conversations, it doesn't get too crowded so you can spread out, even if you're in a large group. Downstairs, it's a lot tighter, with a DJ, dance floor, lounge seating area, and a much more packed and busy atmosphere on the weekends. I like ping ponging between both vibes when I'm with friends. Admittedly I've found the music both times to be too experimental for me. Confessing that makes me feel like an old person shaking my fist or at least shaking my head, misunderstanding what makes the youth tick. But I had no trouble twirling around the dance floor to this weird experimental music after throwing back a few tequila sodas upstairs. A few times while here my friends have split up into the group that wants to go downstairs to dance and the group that wants to stay upstairs and chill. It's relatively easy to navigate between both vibes, which I enjoy about this spot very much.

Came here on a quiet weeknight by a total mistake!…read more We came to grab some drinks at the rooftop bar and catch the sunset and gorgeous views. When we saw "Water Tower" on the elevator we decided to press it. SO GLAD WE DID. We landed at the Water Tower and walked into a fairly empty space decorated with art all the way to the ceiling, filled with natural light coming in and the views of the skyline were out of this world. We had to try their drinks of course to enjoy with the incredible view. Though the drinks are $21 and served in a plastic cup that evening, I was NOT expecting my drink to be this insanely delicious. I ordered the inferno Paloma which they infuse themselves with- and it was true perfection. By the way, each bar has their own menu which is pretty awesome and makes it even more fun. Also, Axel is the most incredible bartender and we absolutely loved his creations. Later that night we ordered a custom mandarin margarita, with a spicy twist, and WOW. He's truly talented and absolutely made us some awesome drinks that we can't stop talking about. Sunset with a view and a spicy mezcal drink? Yes and YES. We had this place all to ourselves and can't wait to be back. Friday nights they have DJ nights and you can also book the Water Tower for your own private events which is pretty cool!

I've never ate here, but I recommend grabbing drinks during the summer months when they open the canopy. It's a nice rooftop feel. However, I went on a fall Saturday night and the place was completely empty. I walked upstairs and even wondered if the bar was open due to a chair blocking the entrance. If I didn't ask the waiter if they were open, I would assume they were closed and would've left. If it was near closing hours, I would understand, but it was 2 hours prior to it. It is too bad Yelp doesn't allow half stars as I would honestly put this one at a 3.5 and am rounding up. While the quality of the elevated seafood bites is immaculate, they are just that: a bite or two of food, for an elevated price considering the amount of food you get. After spending $76 a person, we were still hungry, whereas that amount would have been enough to feed two average women at another good restaurant. But if you go with an expense account or trust fund baby, definitely get the scallops and the yellowtail pastrami because those two items will blow your mind. Our waitress pointed these two out to us and we're grateful for her guidance because it was spot on. Paying for bread at a Solomonov joint is odd. No dessert menu is odder. Wheelchair access details: The bar is on a terrace. The accessible entrance is through the Hoxton hotel. A staff member will take you through the k'far kitchen and up via a service elevator. No barriers once you are upstairs and plenty of accessible outdoor and indoor/outdoor options, including a small length of wheelchair height bar.
