Well the vibe was definitely loud for going out sat at the bar the drinks were alright for 21 bucks, but didn't love the menu options and pizza was mid the lamb meatballs were better but kind of cold inside

Ehhh idk maybe I went on a bad day? Thursday evening it was super busy and only like 1(sometimes 2) bartenders. The clarified piña colada cocktail I had was delicious even though it tasted like juice. However for $21 I wanted it to pack more of a punch. The space is beautiful thought, bright and airy with comfortable bar seating.

I stay here every year but I don't get the opportunity to really sit down and enjoy the meals here. I've had drinks here which are great but depending on the night and how busy they are the service can be hit or miss. I ate at Sungold for breakfast and while i did expect the food to be pricier it didn't match what I thought I would be getting, maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but I got an avocado toast with an egg and sausage. The toast was hearty and it came with a side salad but it did leave me wishing it had more flavor. I will update my review once I order more food but liked it didn't love it

It was strange, the food was good. It was tasty however it felt like literally something was missing LOL. I ordered the Panini and I had like four strands of the pork. And the mozzarella sticks were empty vessels. I would say they can improve on their ratios...

Chocolate babka French toast, Second Street eggs and a chicken sandwich

When in Brooklyn, let your daughter choose where to eat. (Although, I actually chose the spot for breakfast the next day.) Loved this cute spot for breakfast. Not crowded, so comfy and our service was amazing. I really wanted eggs and the chocolate babka French toast, so my daughter and I split the Second Street eggs and the French toast. The French toast should be illegal. It is so decadently delicious with the potential to be addictive. The thick chocolate babka French toast slices are soooo good. Especially if you like chocolate. It was topped with a house made espresso whipped cream. No need for syrup on this French toast. The Second Street eggs are a basic breakfast platter. Eggs sunny side up, hash browns, toast and a protein. My clever daughter had them sub avocado slices for the meat. My hubby did the brunch special and got a crispy chicken sandwich with fries and a drip coffee since our crazy hotel, CODA, apparently could not make coffee in the morning. Service was great. Breakfast was delicious. The couches are so cozy. Bathrooms are a bit odd. You have to go through the lobby of a hotel and then down the stairs to the basement to find the bathrooms, but they were very clean. Such a great way to start the day. Thank you!!

Caprese Martini - A cocktail glass contains a clear beverage with a green olive on a skewer as garnish, placed on a wooden surface.

Incredible place, delicious drinks, and the vibes are vibing here. Located inside of Arlo Williamsburg, this restaurant and location is so iconic. From the beautiful colorful bar, to the cozy brick walls and cool, sophisticated feels. At Sunglold, you can come grab dinner, date night, grab a drink or even celebrate your next event. We came here for drinks and ordered some incredible drinks made by Saz (specializing in sazerac of course). My hubby is the #1 fan of sazeracs and he absolutely approved. I decided to try something different and ordered the caprese martini. Just typing those two words made me think about it all over again. Yes, it's supposed to taste like a caprese salad but in a glass. I know, but HOW? How do they do it? This drink blew my mind and I couldn't stop thinking about it. So much so, when we came back the following week for our friend's after-proposal dinner party, I knew I had to order it. AND I DID. And I loved it all over again and I'm absolutely obsessed and I hope they never ever take it off the menu otherwise I'll just have to add vodka to my tomato and mozzarella salad lol. The private event: was epic. We had a big group of like 30 and the server was killing it. Food was being brought out. We all ordered at different times, and were hungry at different times, but we all were just enjoying, hanging, vibing, chilling and having a great time. We chose the cool U shaped booths to the right of the bar and it was perfect. There was even a live DJ on a Friday night playing some music but nothing too crazy. The food was good but what really speaks to me here is the drinks. An absolute 10/10 for the bartenders, service and ambiance. Can't wait to go back! Pro tip: each bar in this building has its own menu! You can "bar hop" just by jumping on the elevator to the rooftop and then riding up (or taking the stairs) to the Watertower. So fun!

Phenomenal experience at Sungold. We got an app and dinner to split, and both were truly to die for. Will be dreaming of the salty, slightly sweet, heart-warming focaccia until I can return! The pasta was also delightful. Service was okay, but it was late in the evening so perhaps the focus is on the bar crowd vs dinner crowd. Such a cool spot!

Service was fantastic but the food was incredibly mediocre. The vibe was good and it was convenient to eat here then head up to the roof at the water tower.

Stunning atmosphere, the perfect place to grab a drink. Juan was such a great server, he made sure we had everything we needed. Make sure to ask for him if you want a good brunch.

Sungold is an airy luminous gem in Williamsburg perfect for a hearty brunch that your stomach will thank you for. The locally sourced ingredients make for some of the freshest food I've ever had. The morning fruits come with a delectable apricot purée. The velvety ricotta filled omelette comes with fresh salad and toast. The power smoothie with almond butter and dates will give you the most natural energy boost imaginable. The plush banquettes and red couches are designed to create a warm convivial atmosphere with festive lights hanging from the ceiling. Service is friendly and attentive.

Good service - came for some drinks after having lunch near by. The cocktails were good and they had some NA options which is always appreciated

Sungold is a great spot for brunch with friends and/or family. There were a couple of large parties during my visit so it is also accommodating if you need space. For food, I ordered the second street eggs as well as the boost smoothie. My friend ordered the hangover sandwich as well as a pancake and we thoroughly the food. Would recommend Sungold if you're looking for a casual brunch spot in Brooklyn.

Atlantic Salmon - A salad with mixed greens, apple slices, and a piece of fried cheese on a white plate, with a glass of white wine and a candle in the background.

I had a medium salmon that was deliciously done. I'm usually very picky at how my salmon is done- they got it right at Sungold. The apple with greens mix was refreshing and I was happy with my choice. The service was very good, I had my server worked with me on picking a cocktail that most suited my taste and after chatting and the cocktail was made- it was on point. Appreciated her for that. Ambiance was low noise, and nice dim lit with an expansive ceiling. Also, loved having the view of the kitchen with the preparation, yet not too over powering with food smells coming at you. Great for single, couple or large parties. I'd say it was worth it!

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. I once rated them as the best in NYC. Unfortunately, its not at the very top but still on the podium. Coming back feels like you are saying hello to an old friend. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. Overall a good slice, but maybe the dough was off a bit that day. Regardless, Luigi's Pizza is an institution and I will be back again next time I'm in the area. Many pizzas do not reheat well due to rubbish cheese- not L&B- pop it in the oven around 400°F, and let it crisp back up! Also- the Spumoni- it keeps at a nice consistency in the freezer, unlike rubbish American ice cream- which gets like a rock. The only other Spumoni I buy is from Corona. They're both phenomenal in their respective rights. When asked by non-NY'ers which pizza is my favourite- this is number one for Sicilian- not heavy at all. The crust is light, airy, and flavourful. Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
