Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews. The bun held up (which I appreciate), and the fries were hot and crispy with a solid portion. The chicken tenders were probably my favorite part. Super crispy on the outside and actually juicy inside -- not dry at all. The sauces were good and they give you plenty of food. Overall just a solid, no-frills pub meal. Nothing fancy, just good comfort food. I'd definitely go back.
