    Shrimp scampi

We went on a Sat evening and thankfully had thought ahead and made a reservation, as those walking in had a 45 min wait. We requested a booth so our reservation was made for the Pearl Lounge, which is attached. it did seem quieter than the Five Eleven side (same entrance). cool vibe. bartender/waiter Eric was great - accommodating, totally honest about anything you asked him about the menu, great personality and always with a smile on his face. Drinks were good, filet mignon was perfectly cooked, shrimp scampi was flavorful, crème brulee was delicious and the bananas foster cake was superb. Little pricey for us, but we were treating ourselves for our 15th wedding anniversary so it was worth it.

Great spot! Servers are super nice. I did ask for a dessert menu and was waiting on it quite a while. We ended up asking for the check because about 30 minutes passed and I never got the dessert menu. Besides that, great spot. I really enjoyed it.

    Not agnolotti

This place is great. Great drinks and great food. The wait staff is on it and the kitchen puts out amazing food. My only complaint is we ordered the agnolotti and got some odd shaped ravioli. We will be back!

    Steelhead with Lobster risotto, Delicious

When we choose a night out, we almost always at least consider coming here. It is a favorite and always delivers good service and food. My personal favorite is the Filet. Tender, juicy, always cooked perfectly. However, I really enjoyed the steelhead with lobster risotto tonight! My husband always has the same thing, the Fried chicken. Crispy and delicious every time. They have good appetizers. Great burgers. I haven't had anything I didn't like. The staff is friendly and attentive. It is a little loud in some areas but not overwhelming. I highly recommend this for your next night out!!

Woodfired Brussels sprouts and polenta crostini

Located in Old Town Eureka, Five Eleven is an upscale restaurant with a casual environment and fantastic food. We had reservations for 7:30pm on a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't super full but there were a decent amount of filled tables. Service was prompt, professional, and attentive. We ordered two cocktails: a gin tarragon collins (a special) and a dirty gin martini. A small bread basket arrived to the table in short order. For food, we settled on two small plates: woodfired Brussels and polenta crostini. The crispy parmesan and caramelized onion in the Brussels were particularly good, though they could have been warmer. The polenta crostini was a real show-stopper, with delicious mushroom marsala that may have been my favorite part of the dinner. For my main, I ordered the mushroom and butter bean cassoulet. It was very good, though I will say that it didn't feel too dissimilar to something I would make for myself at home. Also a little salty for me, but in a way that was really delicious, just a little bit heart rate increasing as well. My dinner date (my mother) ordered the filet mignon because YOLO. She asked for medium rare and I would say, in my inexpert opinion, what came out was closed to medium well, maybe medium in the center. Still, she enjoyed it tremendously and had no complaints. Delicious dinner with a nice view of some very cool old buildings in an area of Eureka that has clearly seen a good deal of investment in the last few years. Before tip, it was also under $150. Reasonable prices, great service, great food. An overall fantastic experience.

We had a wonderful time No reservation on a Saturday -great drinks and good food. Our server was attentive, nice, and made our experience easy going. Will definitely be back.

As we got here, a nice lady gave up her counter top seating so we would not have to wait, THANK you! So today we got the following: Dirty Beto Burger - My daughter's option, and it was a home run; well ALL of our dishes were a home run! Bolo Pasta - My wife's order, another good dish. I just would have preferred more. Just being greedy. LOL. And I got more wings for my dinner (had wings for lunch also at Viethai in Santa Rosa; see other 5 star reviews). Actually, these wings were even better (slightly better). The flavor, slight kick, etc. And to wash it all down, I got the local Mad River Brewing Steelhead Extra Pale Ale. So smooth and refreshing, especially in a frosted glass. All orders were made to order, so please be patient. Ambiance - Very small local business. Service - 6 stars. From Matty, our very experienced waiter to the owner chef. Matty was so professional, I actually enjoyed watching him work. Work the tables, train the day-one waitress, communicate with the chef, etc. So impressive. Price - $65 + generous tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since opening in mid 2025. We will be regular customers but next time we will make reservations ahead of time. BTW - You are the talk of the town! Congrats again.

Smalls has such a flair in the kitchen for amazing food and amazing service…read more Me and my wife were looking for a dog friendly place to eat and Smalls was gracious enough to let us come in with ours . Mind you our dogs are very well behaved so we were just grateful for them allowing us. They even brought out a dog bowl for water . The vibe was just really beautiful and decorated beautifully. It's perfect for date nights or family dinners. Service was amazing, we had Emma and Matt, between them both we were taken care of from all angles. The food was pretty delicious , I got their chicken artichoke... the sauce was amazing, the chicken was tender, the shrimp was delicious. My wife got the eggplant parmigiana, she absolutely love the eggplant and but she said the sauce and the pasta was ok. She did enjoy it overall. We closed it all off with their Colombian coffee creme brulee. The flavors were there but the custard did not sit appropriately... so it was a little more liquid and warm. The flavors were there so we enjoyed it. We love the heart that Smalls has in its ambitious nature and know they will only grow from here. If we lived in the area this would probably be a regular for us to go to. It seems like the chef loves to try new things and have new specials so you just can't go wrong with that.

I found this restauraunt on Yelp and we reserved it for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the sunset and bay. Upon being seated we were served some bread with some whipped butter mixed with some sort of seafood I believed? I forgot, but the butter was delicious. Our first round of bread however, was average at best and was very dense and doughy. The next rounds of bread were significantly better though, so maybe there's an inconsistency with the way they bake their bread in-house. I ordered the seafood penne pasta and my boyfriend ordered the king salmon with risotto. Both were "specials" and were not on the menu. However after digging into reviews here, it seems they are not so much specials since both dishes have been served here for the past 7ish years. Seafood penne pasta: I would rate a 3/5, maybe a 2.5/5. The pasta itself was not al dente which was disappointing. The "star" of this dish was supposed to be the scallop, which was severely undercooked! It was super soft and mushy. The shrimp was alright...some were overcooked. The salmon was also dry. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the mussels, clams, and the sauce. The sauce had some curry with a small kick to it. This dish was just okay. Escargot: We ordered as our appetizer, I'd give it a 3.5/5! The escargot was a little soft but paired wonderfully with the bread. Creme brûlée: 3/5. Our waitress kindly put a birthday candle on it for my birthday. :) I enjoyed it, and it was very custardy! The downside was that the sugar on top was too burnt. I can't speak much for my boyfriend's dish, I did have a bite of his salmon and it was alright, maybe a bit too salty. The service however was wonderful and our waitress was super kind and helpful. Maybe I would come back to try another dish if I'm back in the area.

I apologize for not reviewing sooner because this was not our first time here…read more It is a big deal that we actually came back When we travel out of town we hardly ever go to the same place twice. This is an exception Pepe was the best waiter that we've had anywhere in the longest time. Excellent suggestions excellent service and really listened. Not only did he pass that on to the kitchen absolutely accurately they performed what he asked for. He was the first line of connection and communication so I give him credit for sure and special things to the kitchen for performing the exact. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the start, the person who helped us was rude and dismissive. I understand people have bad days, but her attitude was unacceptable. When I simply asked if they had cider, she laughed and caught an attitude. I requested a sample of a strawberry option they had on tap, and when I then asked to order that drink, she said, "I'm sorry, I can't possibly remember everyone's drink when I pour drinks all day." That comment was disrespectful and unnecessary. As a human being that works with the public, it's a no brainer to say that is not how you talk to people...perhaps something along the lines of "Remind me what that was again"....I could never imagine talking to people that way. The best part though, is that while charging us--despite saying she couldn't remember everyone's drink--she somehow remembered my husband's order just fine. The inconsistency and tone were frustrating and soured the entire visit. We only came to Eureka for this spot, and it turned into the worst birthday experience. I had hoped for a fun, friendly celebration, but the service made it anything but. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend this location based on how we were treated.
