Everything that you look for in a community is here! Small businesses, lots of fun activities/events and homely feel in the middle of the concrete jungle. Fishcakes always got something going on but they're known for their crafts and ceramics. If you're in ward area, go check them out!

2025 was my first introduction to Fishcake in Kaka'ako, Hawai'i. A shout out to Prolific Yelp Elite buddy Irene M. for introducing this very cool place to me! Fishcake focuses on promoting over 250 local artists, rotating test cafe vendors, vintage finds, designers, and so much more! It's a women owned business that also highlights culinary test pop up vendors such as Aloha Matcha and Bintana; Art and design hub featuring local artists, craft classes, and more! A hodgepodge of trendy pop ups, artists, workshops and a great place to hang out with your friends and family! This is a trendy, unique artsy place where you can grab a table and munch on delicious food and beverages made by new and upcoming local chefs. Parking may be a challenge on special event days. Free self-parking on Kamani Street or in store parking lot (very limited parking spaces) PHONE: (808) 593-1231 A bathroom is available within the premises. Fantastic service here! Value priced unique artwork, craft beverages, and chef culinary meals price right.

How cute and odd to have a furniture store doing food and drink service pop-ups! I personally loved it because after eating you can kind of explore and walk off all the good food you ate. Anyways, we came when Yuji Ramen was running his cold specials. It was absolutely delicious. It felt a little taboo since we were eating cold ramen with fruits, raw fish, and noodles. It surprisingly worked really well. We ended up moping the whole thing and it didn't leave you feeling bloated, rather clean!! If you ever get the chance you should try Yuji's ramen! It's such an interesting take. As for Kynd tea we tried 3 different drinks and the one I recommend is the Guava princess. It didn't taste too creamy, it was pretty thick, refreshing, and just yummy overall. It's difficult to explain but trust me! If you love guava you would love this drink. Overall, Come visit fishcake!! It's so cool to see food/drink vendors! As well as all the art and furniture in the store. They also have classes for pottery and other stuff! I'll definitely be back for all the food Pop-ups though!

Artsy furniture store? A venue for small foodie businesses? An event space? Fishcake is all of the above... Located in the industrial part of Honolulu's Kaka'ako district, you can find jewelry, tables, plants, pillows, etc. Just walk around and browse... it's good to get ideas and see creative works! I came here twice - mostly for food. I had Shave ice on a Saturday and Jian Bing on a Tuesday. Also, mabuhaylicious made her debut with mochi banana bread on 8-6-24... CONGRATULATIONS!

When I first heard of Fishcake in Kakaako, I assumed it was a restaurant or kitchen that specialized in fishcakes. Sure enough, I was wrong lol. The name is very deceiving and the place is an unsuspecting furniture store that hosts pop ups or events to keep things interesting in the area. I've been here twice already for pop ups and both times, it was a memorable experience. Sometimes there is parking in front (depends on the pop up or event they are hosting at the venue). There are about 4 stalls but other than that, parking is wherever you can find a spot. Sometimes you'll find a free stall, other times you'll have to pay to park in a garage or street metered parking. There's a lot of no parking signs so make sure to read before you park your vehicle. You don't want to come back to a citation or your vehicle being towed. Customer service from everyone has been quite pleasant and the place is kept clean. There are several tables you can dine on inside if you wish to dine there. The floor is quite organized and well lit. Cool spot to check out for furniture, a pop up or an event being hosted there.

Fishcake is an artist haven with all sorts of artisan goods. What makes this place popping is the test kitchen in the front serving up a daily rotation of delicious treats. On Saturday, we enjoyed udon noodles and shave ice! The curry udon was great. Homemade and prepared fresh. Highly recommend checking instagram because there are options to make a reservation for your bowls in case they run out. The shave ice is also so good and so melt in your mouth. Love an absolute smooth ice that is almost creamy! The hojicha was my favorite but we also got the matcha and strawberry. Before leaving, couldn't leave without picking up a few lattes from the fridge. Everything here is cash or Venmo, so be prepared! The only challenge here is the parking. The street has really limited parking and there's currently construction going on that makes it worse. Do not park illegally or you could risk being towed! Most people move in and out quick so just be patient.

i love fishcake and how multi-purpose this building is! There is 4 parking stalls in the front of the shop. otherwise good luck with street parking if there is any available. In the front there is a little kitchen space where they have rotating vendors. Sometimes they have about 2/3 vendors per day. Check their instagram to see who might be popping up. In the back of the store there is art and they also do workshops (mostly ceramic classes i think). Sometimes they do little events at night too and bring a whole bunch of different vendors in which is really fun.

Went to Fishcake to taste the Kaya Toast at their pop-up, Lovejoy's Bakery. I also tried their Miso Soba Cookie which was Yum. Kynd Tea was there, and I highly recommend the Lilijoy Refresher. I don't taste calamansi in drinks enough! Such a great space to enjoy new foods and look at local art.

Fishcake...grounded fish and or other seafood mixed with a binding item along with any ingredients that may otherwise be thrown away which then is usually fried or steamed and is a great meal or an accent garnish to add that flair...not quite! This uniquely artsy furniture and home decor shop is home to various artists including the current Maneki Neko show which I absolutely love being Japanese and have been educated throughout my childhood of it's representation hold very dear to me and seeing the various visions of different artists is breathtaking! This review is actually celebrating it's 15th birthday...what!?! Seriously yes and what a celebration as many of it's friends all came out and embraced this lovely place. Honobono sampler bites and sips, @hawaii_an_napua stunning sweets, @sweetie_hnl, Dj @fernsnstuff and a bunch of local artists made it a night of amazing inspiration. They not only have items for sale in their shop they bring in creative minds in every thing you can't imagine that they do in their Fishschool! @fishschoolhawaii is their Instagram page is a must as they post all classes online and it goes FAST! Did you every want to make jewelry, pottery, tapestry or just painting and don't know where to begin this is a great way to pick the instructor's brain as away and learn. Walk away with a piece of your own creation. You are your own inspiration and the incubator cafe is a place I'd love to have the opportunity to enjoy. Like making fishcake It's the little things brought together creates the greatest joy. Thank you!

So much fun in Bonnie's cookie decorating class! Not only was it fun and educational but the cookies tasted amazing! I plan on taking more classes with her!

Went to see our family friend's art (Chiho) on display for the Just for Now exhibit. My company made the decals for the show door so I went to the opening to show my support. They had a very strong female Japanese presence (since that's what the show was showcasing) and I loved it! Can't wait to see the new shows and check out the food showcases (there is a different vendor daily).

I always drove/walked by Fishcake, wondering what the heck this place was. I'd hear that they did pop ups on weekends and finally had a chance to check it out when Shima's had their noodle pop up there. First of all - parking is difficult. They only have maybe 3 stalls right out front & besides that you're left to fight with the UFC gymgoers for street parking lol. Luckily we found one maybe a block away so it wasn't too bad! The inside is so cute! They have tables where you can enjoy your food, cute artwork, clothing etc etc. Very boutique vibes. While we were waiting for our Shima's order, we grabbed some amazing shave ice from Chillest & kept on walking around fish cake. The store extends back and also a bit to the right, so lots of explore. Unfortunately we didn't buy anything this time. If the parking wasn't so unfortunate & maybe we went on a busy less chaotic day I would've enjoyed myself more but I will def be back for another pop up!

All my friends call me the bag lady, haha. Anyways, I recognizes these bags right away. They're from Eden in Love. They have the cutest bags ever. This is the biggest collection that I've seen. They probably have all the design and sizes. Most places only carry the medium size as it's their most popular. Here they have it in small, medium and large. I couldn't help myself and had to get one. I got the medium Sushi Crew bag $18. Service was ok. The cashier was nice. The sales guy working the floor seemed irritated when I asked him to help me locate the bag.

Some of the designs have Aloha themes like local grinds... such as okazuya, pineapples, and laulau! Service is very friendly and positive! There was a young man who was sincere about wanting to help me find whatever I was looking for! Thank you! Anyway... it turned out that my friend wanted to get me a Bowl Hugger. It's like a potholder that goes around your bowl when you place it in your microwave, so you can protect your hands from the hot bowl when it comes out from the microwave! Clever, thoughtful gift, right?

That said, here are some suggestions you may consider to help manage or improve the condition: Use a wood filler or repair putty to smooth out the split area, followed by a light sanding and touch-up stain. Apply furniture wax or sealant to protect the wood from absorbing excess moisture in the future. Maintain stable room conditions by keeping the furniture away from direct sunlight, heaters, or damp areas to minimize further expansion or contraction.
