We were in the mood for some seafood, We arrived before seven to try to beat the crowd. We waited about 20 minutes. The menu has an extensive selection of mostly fried seafood. Our server came quickly. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We both enjoyed our meals which were Fried Oyster Platters.

Loved this place! I was looking for a cool local spot and I think I found it. Very fresh seafood and delicious batter. This place is a winner. Everyone was happy with their food. They catch all the fish in the am, when it's gone, it's gone. Was able to try wahoo fish here, delicious. Staff was great! Will be back when we return.

A small bar and restaurant in a strip mall. How good could it be? Very good. The service was wonderful and the fresh fish was cooked perfectly. My wife had the grouper sandwich and onion rings. I opted for the grouper platter with dill pasta salad and fries. I just wish I wouldn't have ordered my grouper with the garlic butter. The garlic overpowered the fish. Otherwise a very good experience and I would recommend stopping in.

It's a small, dark spot near Publix and not very eye catching from the outside. There is no outdoor seating and the windows are tinted. Once inside, the staff is friendly and greets you right away. We sat at the bar and I ordered the grouper tacos, one blackened with cilantro lime sauce and the other with chipotle. The chipotle was my favorite. The fish was cooked perfectly and the portions were huge. They don't serve spirits, only wine, beer, and seltzers. It's not really a vacation vibe spot, but the food was so good it is absolutely worth a visit.

I've been going to this place for years and will continue to do so. Their new location is so much better because there are more tables and plenty of parking. My husband is a fish snob and is always impressed by the freshness and variety. Not many places carry hogfish and wahoo like Fish Shack does. Servers are always friendly and ready to answer questions or give suggestions. Ambiance is fine, it is casual and what you would expect from a fisherman themed restaurant. One thing of note is that this place is super clean! Nothing ever smells fishy. Bathrooms are spotless. (There is a diaper changing station in the women's bathroom. Some small places don't have that and I really appreciate when places do.) Fish Shack won a local news award for a perfect score on a food health inspection, so you know you are in good hands here.

Another good fish experience in the books! Had the cracked conch, hog fish, and wahoo sandwiches. Loved the cucumber salad and dill pasta salad. The remodeled space is really nice!

Food was delicious . I ordered grilled plain wahoo fish sandwich w/ no bun with coleslaw side at 20.95 ( a little cup of honey mustard on side 25 cents . ) spouse ordered grilled plain yellow tail snapper platter at 33.95 with 2 sides - fries and cucumber red onion salad . Said very soft fish and delicious . Service was efficient and fast . Ambiance is fish shack ! Lots of pictures nostalgia in walls ..

I heard Fish Shack in Lighthouse Point was closing after tonight for five weeks of renovations. Just HAD to have that fried grouper sandwich one more time! Buffalo Shrimp, Clam Chowder, and Coconut Crème Cake to go I was so stuffed!

Stopped by again. This time I decided on swordfish. Fresh not frozen. Decided on blackened with garlic butter plus that yummy rice and perfectly steamed broccoli. Quite a filling lunch. The Fish Shack never fails me.

Feel like a local and enjoy great fresh fish! You'll be surprised by how delicious everything is, but the reviews don't lie. Try one of their daily catch options as a sandwich or platter. The old bay fries are spot on.

The food was generous and delicious but the owner/waiter was very harried. He has to hire more help. I can't wait to go back.

We came in for a quick bit me and a beer and wound up staying for three hours. Our server, Danni, was truly awesome! She kept the beer cold and flowing! The food was delicious. We ordered the shrimp po-boy, fish sandwich, and the Mediterranean chicken wrap. All three were flavorful and beyond reasonably priced. I also love that they generously salt their fries. Highly recommend coming to Lucky Fish! They also have ample parking in the garage.

Our server, Jula, had a visible attitude from the moment she approached the table. The most frustrating part was the lack of basic communication. We asked to adjust an umbrella for the sun; our server spoke with the manager, who looked directly at us, said something, and then simply walked away. The woman followed suit without ever giving us an answer. We understand it was busy due to the Jazz Fest, but being flat-out ignored is not a valid excuse. There are too many dining options in Pompano to waste time and money on a place that treats customers like an inconvenience. We avoided this business for the rest of our trip and won't be returning.

The ambiance is very upscale, welcoming, and sets the tone for a memorable visit. Joey the bartender was very professional, kind, extremely welcoming and very apologetic for the Happy Hour lounge being closed the day I visited which was bit disappointing. However, my friend and I still decided to stay and enjoy a cocktail. As we were leaving, we met Tommy the manager, who was just as nice & gave us a tour of the dinner area which I would love to try one day. He briefly chatted with us and gave us his business card. Everything about this place was top-tier. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a classy night out with exceptional service or just a few appetizers & a cocktail.

From the moment we walked in and were handed a glass of prosecco, it was clear this would be something different. There was an intentionality to everything--the pacing, the ambiance, the way each course was introduced. It didn't feel transactional. It felt ceremonial. Each of the six courses represented a different European destination (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece), and what made it extraordinary wasn't just the quality of the food--which was exceptional--but the way the environment transformed alongside it. Lighting, visuals, sound, and narration worked together in a way that made every dish feel contextual and meaningful, rather than simply plated. Every part of this immersive experience contained instruments working in harmony to amplify the meaning of each course. The courses were beautifully composed and balanced. Nothing felt excessive or forced. Each plate served a purpose in the broader narrative, and each wine or cocktail pairing elevated the dish rather than competing with it. What stood out most, though, was how present it made you feel. In a world where most dinners blur together, this one didn't. Time slowed down. You became immersed. Fully engaged. The service was impeccable--attentive, warm, and deeply knowledgeable without ever feeling rehearsed or overbearing. You felt guided, not served. Tommy (the owner/proprietor) and his staff were unquestionably five-stars. By the end, you remembered how it felt to be transported somewhere else without ever boarding a plane. It's worth every moment.
