Crab cakes
Janette C.

This is a hidden gem. We have been here several times. The service is good. They don't rush dinner on top of appetizers so that you can enjoy your food. Everything is delicious. I can't pick my favorite sushi. The crab cakes are the real deal and you can't go wrong with the wahoo parm. The place is clean and up to date.

Linguine with clams

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how good this restaurant was. It's a nice looking place inside with a nice ambience. The staff was very friendly and we didn't have to wait for anything. They came to the table several times throughout our meal and made us feel very welcome. We started with their Clams Casino and I have to say this was probably one of the best versions of clam casino that we had . Great flavor super fresh. The melted cheese was a brilliant addition and the bacon was super crispy. For dinner, I had their ocean roll with no jalapeños, and my wife had the linguine with clams. The role was excellent. I love the Seabass on top and the lobster was fresh and tender on the inside of the role. My wife's linguine with clams had a great flavor. The only negative I can say is that it was a very dry dish. There wasn't a lot of sauce to dip bread in our to pickup with the past. Definitely going to return to this location we enjoyed ourselves .

Sushi boat for birthday amazing

The best sushi I have had in a very long time. I will be back asap! You can tell the quality and taste in this roll is worth every dollar.

Special rainbow, lighthouse point and jb roll

Exceptional! I'll be honest, my fiancé brought me here and I wasn't sure about it because the menu seemed all over the place and somewhat limited. I'm gluten intolerant and with their menu, we didn't have many options to pick from and they don't have gluten free soy sauce. We ended up ordering 3 rolls, the JB Roll, lighthouse point roll (added cream cheese) and the special rainbow. All 3 rolls were incredibly fresh and the ratio of fish was impressive! We eat sushi regularly and this is the first time we ate every single piece. Absolutely delicious and highly recommended!

Here is how GOOD it was!

It's been years since I reviewed this restaurant. It's been enlarged! The food is still fantastic. Comped homemade bread was served. We started with the shrimp cakes. Delicious!! For the entree, I had the Snapper Florentine (mkt price). It comes with a side. I choose Angel hair pasta, but instead of red sauce, I requested the sauce that comes over the fish. It was the best that I ever had. You can't go wrong here if you are looking for a fantastic meal.

Cheese Burger. $14

Update: Chef Dee's has expanded their space and added a full bar service with seating and additional tables as well as a few tables on the sidewalk. I've o my had sushi and cheese burgers but they are both really good. Some nice new upgrades look fantastic.

Shrimp Cakes Oyster with Bacon

What great hidden gem of a Seafood restaurant. The Oysters and Shrimp Cakes were delicious. The Sushi Dinner was so fresh and delicious. The Pumpkin Swordfish dish was amazingly excellent! The Shrimp cocktail and two huge lobster tails dish were fantastic. All and all, my only regret is not to have known about this place sooner. I live less than a mile away from this place; and one night while conversing with friends about the subject of seafood, I was made known about this location and boy, oh boy Chef Dee is the " real deal " Please find out for yourself; I'm sure you won't regret. Of course, we cannot leave Masamune without having their Magic Sweet Potato dessert!

It was a Saturday night around 8 and it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. I ordered a scallop sushi, Mexican roll and salmon basil roll. The scallop sushi was so fresh, and melted in your mouth. The party I was with ended up ordering one each for themselves as well! The mexican roll was simple and enhanced with a little wasabi and ginger. Perfectly bite sized pieces. The salmon basil roll was unlike anything I've ever had before. Pretty much tasted like a caprese in sushi form! Salmon was incredibly fresh, again super tender and melted in your mouth, no fishy taste. The party I was with also ordered three pieces of uni. Was $14.50 a piece, so pretty steep! However the uni was incredibly tender, very similar to butter, however the tail end did have a slightly fishy taste, but it is sea urchin so that's not uncommon. Someone ordered the tempura udon, they said the broth was a little bland, the udon were cooked perfectly, but of course the tempura gets soggy as it's sitting on top of the udon. They also ordered the fried JB roll, the hot mama roll, and an eel and salmon hand roll. While I can't comment on those things, everybody was incredibly satisfied with their meal and everything was reasonably priced. I didn't pay for this meal, so unfortunately I can't comment on the bill, but I can say this is not a cheap sushi restaurant. The prices are a little higher than average, but you're also getting what you pay for. The quality is spot-on and is exactly what you hope for when you have a sushi craving. The service was fast and they made great recommendations. Their sushi roll selection is not huge by any means, but their menu has a lot of diverse options on it. The only thing that I can't stand, but is of course very common with Sushi and Asian restaurants, is having canned soft drinks. This is a personal preference and didn't impact my rating at all. Overall, I would definitely come back to try other things!

Small, intimate space (in the old AlleyCat location), but done right... cozy without feeling cramped. The chefs were fantastic and the fish was top tier. The uni was unforgettable. The tuna was incredible, as expected. I'm not big on raw shrimp, so I asked them to torch it and they nailed it. Exactly what I wanted. Only thing I'd skip is the Big Mac... a little too much going on in one bite. Perfect date spot and honestly hard to compare to anything else in Boca. Bonus: easy parking at Royal Palm just south of Mizner. Expensive, but memorable.

This is good value for what you pay. The place is really small and when you first walk in there is a general seating, waiting area while you wait for others to finish and then to turn over the tables. After they are ready for you they will seat you at the bar and they will serve you the food. I will agree with a lot of the other reviews. I wish it was a little more roomy. You are elbow to elbow like on a spirit flight. I think removing one seat from the bar would give a lot of room for the others. Which is kind of poor design because the waiting area is quite large compared to the bar too where everyone is served. Sushi by bou has a pre set menu so it's technically not true omakase since it means "I leave it to you," the chef. But everyone gets the same thing so it's not really different if you go again. With all of that said, the food is still great. The quality of sushi is high and the cuts are solid. Service is great because they are right in front of you so you can just ask if you need something. Seems like there are more workers than customers really. Would definitely go again if I wanted some good sushi.

They removed the plates as necessary and checked on us to make sure we were happy with everything. The waiter informed us there was gratuity added on our bill because of the size of our group. The food, the ambiance, and service was out of this world. The fish tasted like butter. The sashimi was unlike any sashimi I've ever had. Taki Omakase in Boca Raton is fine dining at its absolute best…read more This intimate, small restaurant offers a true omakase experience with a private chef, making every moment feel exclusive and personal. Reservations are required well in advance, and there are 2 seatings daily, 6pm and 9pm, each hosting roughly 7 couples, which keeps the atmosphere serene and intentional. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the entire staff and seated immediately. We were the first to arrive, so I took the opportunity to admire and take pictures of the space before others arrived. The interior is stunning, breathtaking, and transports you straight to Japan! There's a beautiful private room the back which holds up to 8 guests and the personal chef and low to the group Japanese style seating. On the night we dined, we enjoyed an 18 course omakase tasting, paired with 4 sake tastings. The four sake selections were all exceptional, smooth and refined and unforgettable, even though I regret not capturing each of their names. The meal began with one of the most delicious bites I've ever had, king crab served over a warm and decedent custard. From there each course built on the last. We tasted a variety of salmons, tunas; some completely raw, and some aged to perfection for 14 days. Along with snapper, beautifully grilled Chilean sea bass, and many other crafted dishes. I tried Uni for the first time, and I finally understand why it is referred too as 'ice cream of the sea'. The taste, texture and aroma were all exquisite, creamy, delicate and truly memorable. The experience ended with a warm miso soup, followed by a refreshing melon wedge, and a red bean ice cream sandwiched between two very flaky wafers. Every single bite left me in awe. The chefs knife skills, the precision, the presentation, the simplicity of certain dishes which still packed powerful flavors, it all showcased the artistry of true Japanese fine dining. This was more than dinner, it was an experience. My absolute favorite dish? The A5 Wagu. It was heave on earth, melt in your mouth perfection. If you appreciate fine dining, exquisite flavors, culinarily history, and the craft behind aged, cured and meticulously prepared food, Taki Omakase is an unforgettable experience that you will love from start to finish.
