Like the original 1956 Mike's store in the state of New Jersey, each Jersey Mike's Subs restaurant serves submarine sandwiches, which are made to order with slicing the meats and cheeses as needed, not sitting in cold bins like other restaurants. Feb 2024, place is clean and staff friendly, and service was quick. We purchased two Subs for a Super Bowl Party we were attending. Sandwiches were great tasting, except my friend received the wrong Sub. She asked for Turkey and they gave her a Pork, but is was too late to return the Sub since we left the Jersey Mike's for the party. Pretty good Italian sub. Love the hot pepper spread on it. However, the Vegetarian portobello and onion sub was very skimpy. Probably 25 calories worth of mushrooms and onions. This sandwich needs to be stacked more. The flavor was very good. I left the cheese off. More vegan options would be great for us vegans. I hope they take my advice. Once again I didn't get what I ordered. Was going to bring a friend of mine a philly sandwich. About a week ago, I ordered from Jersey Mike's in Pompano Beach. I ordered two sandwiches one was a club sand and the other was a tuna sandwich. They screwed up the order and only delivered and charged me for the club sandwich. I called them and told them that they erroneously, left out my from my order my tuna sandwich. I gave them my name and telephone number and they told me that the next time I ordered, they would make it up to me by giving me a giant tuna sandwich today I ordered from Jersey Mike's and they found my order but they said you only paid for the sub sandwich, and I said I know that, but you screwed up my order and you told me you'd make it up to me. I know this is not a big deal, but I have Parkinson's disease and I can't go over there. They did offer me a coupon, but I told them I had no way to pick up the food because I used DoorDash, long story short. They did not do what they said they would do. I love Jersey Mikes and have been a customer for a long time. This was my first time going to this location and I will not be back. There was 3 workers on duty at the time I was there. It took a while for me to be even acknowledged because all the workers we tending to the postmates deliveries. Finally when I got served the lady stop doing my sub and went back to tend to the postmates which I thought was rude. One of the men that was working said a slick comment about me being a loyalty member and was shock I had as much points that I did. Its bad to judge a book by its cover because I am a regular Jersey Mikes customer and spend a lot of money there. Lastly, the look of my sub was displeasing. They slices up the sheet when cutting my bread and they didn't professionally slice my bread as half of the bread was off the meat which left me with no bread at the end of the sub. The lettuce wasn't fresh and the whole sub didn't taste good as it usually does. My husband loves coming to eat here. They are good with cold subs but don't ask for anything else. He always orders the Italian. Today, we tried something different. We ordered their Philly cheesesteak and a Chicken Philly with mushrooms. Let me tell you it was the most disgusting and terrible sandwich we have seen. The Philly steak was overcooked and had a strange taste. As for the chicken philly, it was given to us cold with only the chicken cooked and cheese thrown on top of it and they even forgot the mushrooms. The chicken was dried up and shredded which I have NEVER seen that at any other restaurants that we have eaten at. We threw away the sandwich but I think the garbage doesn't even want it! Picture this...September 17th, 2015 - It's day one, opening night for this brand new location and customers were swarming the place in the promise of a free sub. ANY FREE SUB of your choice. Yes, a free sub. Who doesn't love free yummy food? I have no complaints. I pulled up expecting a zoo and at least an hour of wait time. The place was packed full of hungry demanding folks that were standing, eager and ready for their promised goods. While the line was long, their team exceeded my expectations. I made-up my custom order, was greeted by a well-manned and extraordinary staff that had me in and out with my meal in under 10 minutes. Even under the pressure and excitement the staff remained cool, calm, collected and personable. They were friendly and made the crowds intense devouring rush a fun one. While everyone was stellar, one employee especially stood out, Matt. Which I've deemed, "Jersey Matt" my new pal at this location. Let me first start off by saying yes, my sandwich was good no complaints on that but as I'm sitting here eating my sandwich, I am watching the employees work and this is during the lunch rush the employee who is slicing the meat she's wiping down the machine with the rag or cloth that they use and then she goes right away to handle the bread and meat without changing her gloves. Unbelievable then we go to the next station for the employee who put the condiments on your sandwich he was doing the same thing as another rag was wiping down the oil and vinegar And salt and pepper shaker and then went right away to grabbing the buns and the condiments put on your sandwiches. Not sure if the bread was old or they tried to toast it but a cold Italian sub should not be toasted, it cracked and fell apart. I tried to save it by using my own plain white bread but as it turns out that didn't save it because the sub didn't have enough dressing. In the end I made a PB&J and called it a night.
