This is a brand new, sparkling clean Five Guys in the outparcel of Pompano City Centre. The first Five Guys opened in 1986 in Arlington Virginia when the four Murrell brothers were ordered by their parents to ""Start a business or go to college." They decided to go the business route with a quick service restaurant selling hand formed and grilled burgers and fries cooked in peanut oil. There are no freezers at Five Guys, only coolers. By 2001 they had five locations in the DC area. In 2002 they decided to franchise. Today there are more than 1,700 locations across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. I was starving and it was way past lunch time when I discovered this newly opened Five Guys. I ordered the cheeseburger which comes with assorted toppings, your choice. For me it is ketchup, pickles, onion and tomato. It was a massive juicy patty cooked perfectly. I didn't have room for fries but they looked great and then even list on the board where they come from, somewhere in Idaho during my visit. Drinks are from a fun Coca-Cola Freestyle machine. Staff are super friendly and they have both indoor and patio seating. This is a great addition to the Pompano quick service dining scene.

The entire area is very well lit, and there is a menu board outside along with two staff members assisting with orders before you even reach the pickup window. This keeps the line moving efficiently and creates a very smooth experience from start to finish. The staff members are consistently friendly and welcoming, which always makes the visit even better. And of course, the food is a 10 out of 10! My husband and I absolutely love their chicken tenders and fries. They offer several combo meals depending on how many tenders you want, and meals typically come with Texas toast, fries, and coleslaw. One thing we appreciate is how customizable the meals are, allowing you to swap sides if preferred. Their fresh-squeezed lemonade is also a huge favorite of ours, along with the famous Cane's sauce. We always order one or two extra sauces because they are just that good! Overall, this location does an excellent job with both food quality and customer service.

The fried....oh my...the fried!!! Perfectly crisp on the outside and mash on the inside. One of the best parts, the toast. Get the heck outta here!! It's buttery and has the perfect grill on it. The platters are reasonably priced for the amount that you get and the place is spotless. The service is wonderful and worthy of restaurant vs fast food a quality. Everyone has a smile and you can't help to leave with the same. We have a much closer chicken spot but will gladly drive the extra 7 minutes too get to Cane's. Great job to all!!!

The staff here at Pollo Campero are very nice especially Marisela. She was so very friendly and when my food order was ready she walked it over to us. This restaurant was neat and clean and they have a good amount of tables if you want to eat in. I placed my order for takeout only. A customer who had eaten here 19 times told me to order their Fried Chicken.Everything is made fresh. Based on his recommendation I did. I placed my order for 3- 3 Piece Meals that consisted of a Breast, Thigh, and Wing. It came with a choice of a side. I chose 2 of their Campero Rice side, and 1 of their Baked Beans side. I also ordered an order of Chicken Nuggets, a side of Coleslaw, Yuca, and Sweet Plantains. I thought the sides could've been bigger, I'm used to bigger sides, and you definitely need to get multiple sauces for dipping the chicken, and Yuca. The Yuca was very a bit plain and needed a dipping sauce. I'm used to a garlic dipping sauce. They also sell Roasted Chicken, Chicken Nuggets, Chicken Sandwiches, Chicken Empanadas, and at some locations a Campero Bowl. If you order a 4 piece meal you can order 1/2 Fried Chicken, and 1/2 Roasted Chicken, or you can order just Fried or Roasted Chicken. The Fried Chicken was really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had a crispy exterior, and the inside was very juicy and good. Even the Chicken Nuggets I tasted were delicious. They were all White Meat and some of the best i've tried. ( I highly recommend along with the Fried Chicken.) FYI make sure you ask for dipping sauces, It wasn't offered and I didn't know to ask. One isn't enough. My bf got their Campero Sauce, and their Ranch Sauce, both were good. If you have kids order their Chicken Nuggets and Fries. For Drinks they sell Horchata, Mango, and Jamaican along with Soda and Bottled Water. Pollo Campero has plenty of free parking. There are a few Handicapped Parking spaces and this place is wheelchair accessible. I want to try their Roasted Chicken and their Chicken Empanadas, and of course their Fried Chicken Sandwich. What I especially love is that they partner with Saint Jude's Children's Hospital. They are very community oriented. Pollo Campero also does Catering. I will definitely be returning

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The environment is fun, and there are plenty of clever artifacts and photos to engage the eye. On to the food... we ordered the Southwest bowl and the lox bagel. As you can see from the pictures, the portions are sizable and the value for this area was decent. I think the total bill was around $30 for two entrées, a tea, and tip. The bowl has beans, tomatoes, avocado, potatoes, eggs, and cheese. It comes with a Mexican sauce and sour cream. We used a little of the sauce, as we found the dish a bit bland. Both eggs and black beans needed a little salt to enhance their flavors. While it was good, it was very soupy. The beans were not drained well, which I'm guessing--combined with the tomatoes--caused it. The lox bagel was beautiful but very hard to eat. The owners might want to consider dicing the tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers, as there's no way to eat this without deconstructing it. The salmon was good quality. Next time, I'd get a seasoned bagel instead of plain--it would probably be epic on an everything bagel. There are many other options for breakfast or lunch, and we would probably come back to try something different.

Hands down, some of the best authentic Mexican tacos I've ever had!…read more I stopped in for lunch at Habaneros Mexican Taqueria in Pompano Beach and was absolutely blown away. This place is the real deal. The tacos are cooked to order, so yes--it takes a little time. But wow, is it worth the wait. I had two tacos: asada and carnitas. Both came out hot off the grill with generous, juicy portions of perfectly seasoned meat. The flavors were rich and fresh, and the texture was spot-on. What really set them apart, though, were the homemade corn tortillas--warm, slightly chewy, and clearly made in-house with care. Just fantastic. I skipped the cilantro (not my thing), but the freshly diced onions added a nice crunchy contrast. And the salsas--oh man. They brought out two squeeze bottles, one red and one green. The green salsa was my favorite: cold, zesty, just the right amount of heat (about 5/10), and full of flavor and texture. The red salsa had a deeper kick and great flavor too--definitely not shy on the spice. A final squeeze of the lime wedge brought everything together perfectly. If you're in the area and love tacos, this spot is a must. I'm already planning my next visit.

Despite that, we decided to order food and planned to sit outside to avoid the odor. We paid for our meal and then waited... and waited. The employee behind the counter was calling out order numbers, but ours was never called -- even though many customers who ordered after us received their food before we did. After standing there for quite a while, he finally asked if we needed help. I explained that we were still waiting for our order. He checked with the kitchen staff, and they responded dismissively in Spanish. We continued waiting while more orders were being called, but no one seemed to care about us or follow up. Eventually, I went back to the cashier and asked to cancel the order. He responded with irritation and said our order was canceled in a rude tone. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant, where we received great service and excellent food. Overall, this was a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Poor service, lack of communication, and an unwelcoming atmosphere -- I would not recommend this place.
