    Smash burger
    Steven W.

So we decided to scurry on up to Pompano Beach for an adventure and decided to do lunch at The Vault. I'm told that it's an old bank building and found it to be open and bright. There's a busy bar and the tables are in the front, adjacent to the bar and in the back. Our four top was too close to the very noisy kitchen, which the day we were there, seemed to have a few loud mishaps that were jarring. Other than that, service was hit and miss but we weren't in a hurry. To the food: three out of four of us ordered the well reviewed smash burgers. Not a complaint from anyone. Very good they reported. The accompanying french fried potatoes got mixed reviews. Fresh cut and covered in some sort of whatever, we thought that they would be better plain. Me being the outlier, I chose the mahi plate which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The fish was prepared perfectly, moist and delicious. The sides were okay. About that broccoli: The Vault does love it. There was broccoli cheddar soup, a smashed broccoli cheese appetizer and the only side dish was...broccoli! I did notice that the bar was packed on the day we went (Saturday). Day drinkers having fun. We had a nice leisurely lunch at The Vault.

Lunch wings "Vault Style". Amazing wings and the fries we big and cooked just right with great salt and good crispy skins.

This place looks very nice. Great bar and staff. Food is amazing and fresh to order. Prices are very good. Highly recommend.

We sat outside in their large alleyway area on a beautiful evening. We caught happy hour (5-7 pm) Drink specials for HH, no food. I had a cocktail made with gin, elderflower and prosecco. We had the buffalo chicken egg rolls, which were delicious and the grilled shrimp.

The Vault is one of Pompano Beach's most unique dining spots -- a beautifully restored historic bank turned into a stylish restaurant with incredible food. We came for HH before it got too busy. We loved everything from the seafood gumbo, grilled shrimp, crispy smashed broccoli, to the shrimp cakes, award-winning smashburger, and the perfectly crafted Chocolate Old Fashioned. The seafood dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the bread pudding was the perfect finish. I also appreciate that they have 2 options for small plates: shareable or solo. I can try a bunch of things this way. Service from Gilberto was warm and attentive. A must‑visit in Old Town for great food, great cocktails, and a true sense of local history.

Amazing! I was looking for a place to grab a quick dinner with friends and the menu looked like it had a good variety. When we arrived we were seated promptly. This was Sunday evening around 6pm. I imagine at other times there would be a wait because it was not a very large restaurant. The building has cool architecture and a unique story described on the menu. All of their appetizers come in two sizes, small and large, so they are great for sharing. We started with the smashed broccoli which was made with cheese and breadcrumbs and served with ranch dressing. For my meal, I had the smash burger which was flavorful. My husband had the King of the Glades chicken parm sandwich with added ricotta and he said it was delicious. We also got some deviled eggs and mac and cheese for the table. Every item was served, fast, fresh, and flavorful. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures! However I did get a picture of the most important thing, dessert! The bread pudding was the best ever and served warm. It was a huge portion and we got it with a side of ice cream. I would most definitely go back to the Vault for dinner and drinks.

Friday night crowd. Service was excellent. Sat at the bar and only ordered appetizers. The short ribs egg rolls were stuffed. The seasoning kind of threw it off mark. The brazen hot honey tips were dry very tough to eat. The Rangoons was probably the best of the 3. Will try other items next time.

We had our first but not our last dining experience at the Vault. Met friends half way who drive from Aventura. The food and the service were excellent. Ryan is a terrific bartender and Camile is an attentive server.

This was delicious and a great way to celebrate my six months of sobriety! I love the decorations and the ambience as well.

It has nice atmosphere and it's easy to have a conversation. There is Free parking next to the restaurant. There is a large bar. Staff was great. The menu is a mix of small and large plates. Everything tasted fresh. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The short rib was tender and not fatty. It was served over delicious potatoes. The bacon wrapped green beans with balsamic were also delicious. The smashed broccoli was more like a pancake made with Parmesan cheese. I didn't see any broccoli in my portion of the dish. I wouldn't order this again The wings were good, but there was nothing unique about them. The espresso martini was served in a beautiful glass. It wasn't filled to the top. It was not a creamy martini. The warm bread pudding for $8 was delicious. I do wish it was served a la mode. They comped my dessert since it was my birthday. It would have been nice if they added a candle to it since they knew it was my birthday. The restaurant seemed like it should have cloth napkins instead of paper.

Very cute place . Bartender was super nice. Since it was our first time he told us the history of the restaurant. Tuesday they have smash burgers for $12 . Service was good . Need to come back and try some of the their stuff this time it was only a drink and burger

The Vault lives up to its name, a hidden treasure located in the historical First Bank building. I consider myself an amateur historian and knowing the historical significance of the Vault building added charm to the dinner experience. The restaurant is cozy and most patrons were huddled by the bar area which added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The service at the Vault is great! The staff take pride in the food and their enthusiasm to provide great service shines through. I stared with the Bees Knees cocktail which I would describe as having a spicy sugar cane taste as the hot honey and spiciness is alway present. The Flapper's Fizz gin IMHO is the perfect summer cocktail, a berry delight that is also super refreshing. For dinner I went with the award winning First Bank Smash Burger the burger was perfect, gruyere, caramelized onions, mushrooms and a burger that was cooked to perfection. I ended the meal with the Pineapple Upside down cake which was also stellar the warm spices used in the cake accented the moistness of the cake perfectly. The Vault is open and you don't need a key to get in. The Vault Restaurant is one of those hidden special restaurants in Pompano Beach that revitalizes the community. All patrons would agree that The Vault is a special restaurant that has an added element of historical charm. I hope you enjoy Vault too!

Definitely a hidden gem! The food was delicious and the $10 lunch special is a steal!!! The decor ties perfectly into the history and story behind they location. The service was great and it was nice meeting the baker who makes that delicious bread pudding .

Terrific speakeasy ambiance in a VERY cool district of downtown Pompano. Service and food were also excellent. Ask about outdoor seating...it's sort of out back across a small alleyway 5 star ambience: inside the main building, it still has a vague bank building vibe and a cool speakeasy bar theme. Outside there's a neat covered seating area behind the main building. This part of Pompano is a community redevelopment district with great street art and lots of free bands etc on most weekends. Parking is also free...perfect for cheapskate Joe. 5 star service: our server was amazingly nice. He even brought over the owner. My two friends arrived a little early and they even gave them a bit of a tour. 5 star food: I had something called the Outlaw Bowl ( the former bank on the same spot was robbed, there's a fun story on the back of the menu). Outlaw Bowl is sort of a teriyaki chicken stir fry with coconut rice...amazingly good and highly recommended

My chicken and rice dish... half eaten, sorry)

This was our second time dining here; the first time being shortly after they opened. The restaurant is really beautiful inside with accents of green and gold and white. Outdoors, there's plenty of table space, a bar, and a stage for live music. It looked like it has been expanded since my first time there. I'm glad to see this restaurant doing well in Old Town Pompano. Our server was very friendly and assisted us with our questions about the menu. As we were there for brunch, we settled on fried green tomatoes Eggs Benedict, steak and eggs, and shrimp and grits. The fresh biscuits sounded so good that we ordered them. We should have asked for them to come out early, so we could enjoy them while we were waiting. However, we took them home and enjoyed them the next day. We also made the mistake of ordering a side of potatoes. That was definitely not necessary because two of the entrées came with potatoes, and we had more than plenty for the table. Again, something we enjoyed the next day. We were all impressed with what we ordered. Everything came out hot and cooked just as we had asked. My shrimp and grits were absolutely delicious. I also thought it was also nice that our server asked if we wanted to take our refilled drinks to go and prepared to go cups for us. This restaurant has been consistent for us, and I definitely plan to be back. Next time, I'd like to check out their live music scene and get a table outside when the weather gets a little cooler.

We managed to slide in just in time for happy hour, so the wife kicked things off right with a great cocktail. To keep the kids happy while we looked over the menu, we started with the mozzarella sticks and corn dog poppers. Both were total crowd-pleasers--crispy, melty, and didn't last long on the table. For the mains, the family spread was a massive success. The kids went with the classics: a juicy cheeseburger with golden fries, and crispy chicken tenders with perfectly fried tater tots. Both got total nods of approval. The wife and I went the salad route, ordering the Cobb salad and the Caesar salad, both topped with blackened chicken. Let me tell you, that blackened seasoning is the real deal here! It gave both salads a smoky, savory punch that elevated the whole meal. At the end of the day, Legends serves up **classic bar food done absolutely right**. The vibe is fun, the food is unpretentious and delicious, and the service was on point. It's a fantastic, reliable spot that I'd highly recommend to anyone in the area. We will definitely be back on future visits!

Very disappointing experience…read more We arrived for lunch with a group of 8 people and, from the moment we walked in, the hostess made us feel like she was doing us a favor by seating us. She repeatedly told us she was "making an exception" for our party. Then she lectured us about having to sit at two separate tables with two separate checks. What really crossed the line was when she said, "If I see you passing food between tables, we'll stop serving you." That comment was unnecessary, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate. We were paying customers, not asking for free food or special treatment. There's a time and place to explain restaurant policies, but the way they were communicated made us feel unwelcome before we had even ordered. Hospitality is about making guests feel valued, and unfortunately, that was completely missing here. We chose to leave rather than spend our money somewhere we clearly didn't feel wanted. There are plenty of restaurants that appreciate their customers, and we'll be supporting those instead.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.
