The Vault is a total vibe. The dim lighting and funky music gives you Roaring 20s energy, making it a nice spot for a night out in Pompano Beach. The staff is super welcoming, and the kitchen doesn't play, the food hits the table fast and has lots of flavor. Im a sucker for fried pickles and they're hands down the best thing on the menu. While the mahi portion on the sandwich felt a little small, it still tasted good. Pair it with one of their stiff, well-crafted drinks, and you're set for a solid evening.
I love the story behind this establishment! The atmosphere is great, but it's a super small space with the bar taking up a lot of the space. We sat at a table in the back which was right next to the open servers station which is quite the eye sore if I'm being honest and it felt chaotic watching the servers in the hustle. Anyway, the menu itself is pretty decent, we really liked that the appetizer could be used as shared small plates, they all had the option for a single or shared size. We opted for three apps which were all good the best being the short ribs and the bruschetta. The cocktail list was great and I enjoyed the upside down martini. The service was pleasant but quite slow. Overall, good experience! Parking is plentiful with multiple public lots and street parking!
Stopped by The Vault in Pompano Beach during happy hour while I was in the area with my son before his baseball practice. We decided to try a few things and had a great time! We tried the deviled eggs, infamous Mahi Fingers, and Fortune Fries, and all three were delicious. I also tried a "Giggly Water" cocktail, Flapper's Fizz which was so good and definitely lived up to its fun name! The restaurant is on the darker side, but it really works with the 1920s speakeasy vibe and adds to the overall atmosphere. It's a fun spot for happy hour, especially if you're looking for something a little different. Plenty of parking across the street. Positively enjoyed our quick stop at The Vault and would come back to try more from the menu!
LOVED IT!! This place is GREAT. We love the unique dishes!! Everything went choose tasted very good. The atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant. Our server, Gilbeto, was awesome. He handled our group of 10 with ease and a smile!! Definitely a place to return to.
One of our absolute favorite neighborhood spots in Pompano Beach! We keep coming back to The Vault for one main reason: the smash burger. Hands down, the best we've ever had, and it never disappoints! The restaurant itself is just as impressive. Located inside a former bank, it has a really unique speakeasy-style atmosphere with plenty of character and charm. It's such a cool setting for a meal. On top of that, the staff is incredible. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and makes the experience that much better. We genuinely have nothing but good things to say about this place. It's become one of our neighborhood favorites, and somewhere we'll happily keep coming back to. If you're in Pompano Beach, do yourself a favor and try the smash burger!
This was our second time dining at The Vault, and it was just as impressive as the first. I ordered the smashed burger, while my boyfriend had the blackened chicken pasta. Both dishes were fantastic, but the burger truly stood out--it was hands down one of the best burgers we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, packed with flavor, and absolutely delicious. I also tried the raspberry iced tea, which was refreshing and full of flavor. The service was attentive and friendly, creating a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. Great food, great drinks, and great service--we'll definitely be back!
Great spot for dinner with an eclectic menu. The decor is speak easy and the building is an old bank. The history of the restaurant is on the menu and the original vault is pretty cool to see in person. The service was wonderful. Everyone was very personable and super friendly. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend trying whatever sounds good as it was all wonderful. The highlights were the wings, they were so flavorful and fell off the bone and the short rib egg rolls. The gravy dip sauce was a must have. The drinks were well made and a nice variety to choose from.
We sat outside in their large alleyway area on a beautiful evening. We caught happy hour (5-7 pm) Drink specials for HH, no food. I had a cocktail made with gin, elderflower and prosecco. We had the buffalo chicken egg rolls, which were delicious and the grilled shrimp.
The Vault is one of Pompano Beach's most unique dining spots -- a beautifully restored historic bank turned into a stylish restaurant with incredible food. We came for HH before it got too busy. We loved everything from the seafood gumbo, grilled shrimp, crispy smashed broccoli, to the shrimp cakes, award-winning smashburger, and the perfectly crafted Chocolate Old Fashioned. The seafood dishes were fresh and flavorful, and the bread pudding was the perfect finish. I also appreciate that they have 2 options for small plates: shareable or solo. I can try a bunch of things this way. Service from Gilberto was warm and attentive. A must‑visit in Old Town for great food, great cocktails, and a true sense of local history.
It has nice atmosphere and it's easy to have a conversation. There is Free parking next to the restaurant. There is a large bar. Staff was great. The menu is a mix of small and large plates. Everything tasted fresh. The Mac and cheese was creamy and delicious. The short rib was tender and not fatty. It was served over delicious potatoes. The bacon wrapped green beans with balsamic were also delicious. The smashed broccoli was more like a pancake made with Parmesan cheese. I didn't see any broccoli in my portion of the dish. I wouldn't order this again The wings were good, but there was nothing unique about them. The espresso martini was served in a beautiful glass. It wasn't filled to the top. It was not a creamy martini. The warm bread pudding for $8 was delicious. I do wish it was served a la mode. They comped my dessert since it was my birthday. It would have been nice if they added a candle to it since they knew it was my birthday. The restaurant seemed like it should have cloth napkins instead of paper.
The Vault lives up to its name, a hidden treasure located in the historical First Bank building. I consider myself an amateur historian and knowing the historical significance of the Vault building added charm to the dinner experience. The restaurant is cozy and most patrons were huddled by the bar area which added to the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. The service at the Vault is great! The staff take pride in the food and their enthusiasm to provide great service shines through. I stared with the Bees Knees cocktail which I would describe as having a spicy sugar cane taste as the hot honey and spiciness is alway present. The Flapper's Fizz gin IMHO is the perfect summer cocktail, a berry delight that is also super refreshing. For dinner I went with the award winning First Bank Smash Burger the burger was perfect, gruyere, caramelized onions, mushrooms and a burger that was cooked to perfection. I ended the meal with the Pineapple Upside down cake which was also stellar the warm spices used in the cake accented the moistness of the cake perfectly. The Vault is open and you don't need a key to get in. The Vault Restaurant is one of those hidden special restaurants in Pompano Beach that revitalizes the community. All patrons would agree that The Vault is a special restaurant that has an added element of historical charm. I hope you enjoy Vault too!
Friday night crowd. Service was excellent. Sat at the bar and only ordered appetizers. The short ribs egg rolls were stuffed. The seasoning kind of threw it off mark. The brazen hot honey tips were dry very tough to eat. The Rangoons was probably the best of the 3. Will try other items next time.
Definitely a hidden gem! The food was delicious and the $10 lunch special is a steal!!! The decor ties perfectly into the history and story behind they location. The service was great and it was nice meeting the baker who makes that delicious bread pudding .
The Vault is a true gem that I discovered while exploring the historic Old Town neighborhood of Pompano. It is housed in the refurbished bank building built in 1922 as the First Bank of Pompano. The bank closed during the Great Depression but the building remained. Gilberto was my server/bartender. He was attentive and pleasant. He let me taste several of the craft beers before I selected one. He highly recommended the First Bank Smashburger with home cut fries. He informed me that the burger won first place at the Boca Burger Battle in 2025, making it the best burger in South Florida! The burger was spectacular! It had melted pepper jack and Gruyère cheeses with sautéed onions and mushrooms in a bourbon sauce. It was sweet and saucy. The fries were incredible as well. Wedged cut with skins on, the serving was hardy and delicious. I inquired about their superior taste and learned that they fry them in beef tallow. As you know, tallow is largely saturated fat but it has gotten better health reviews lately and it definitely adds great flavor. I enjoyed my lunch and I will be back! This neighborhood is definitely on the upswing with lots of renovations and new places to try. read more

10/14/26- went for lunch. All the parking in that area is free as of when we where there. We were greeted when we first walked into this historical bank building with the vault still in it. They couldn't move it cause it was so heavy they say. I had to Smashburger and G had the chicken sandwich. I ordered the RAIFORD EGG ROLL, but it was not delivered Grey the server genuinely was so upset for me . Halfway through our lunch Grey the server came out with that Raeford egg roll. He said it was on him. I was so upset I wanted to pay for it. He was so kind so generous he just kept saying he wants everybody to be happy. It looks industrial on the inside couple of tables on the outside and then then there's big hale like behind it. All the service were very nice very friendly very helpful more water more this read more

Terrific speakeasy ambiance in a VERY cool district of downtown Pompano. Service and food were also excellent. Ask about outdoor seating...it's sort of out back across a small alleyway 5 star ambience: inside the main building, it still has a vague bank building vibe and a cool speakeasy bar theme. Outside there's a neat covered seating area behind the main building. This part of Pompano is a community redevelopment district with great street art and lots of free bands etc on most weekends. Parking is also free...perfect for cheapskate Joe. 5 star service: our server was amazingly nice. He even brought over the owner. My two friends arrived a little early and they even gave them a bit of a tour. 5 star food: I had something called the Outlaw Bowl ( the former bank on the same spot was robbed, there's a fun story on the back of the menu). Outlaw Bowl is sort of a teriyaki chicken stir fry with coconut rice...amazingly good and highly recommended read more

Greeted and immediately seated. Cool little restaurant off of Dixie Highway in Old Town pompano Beach. It used to be a back (the original vault is in display) Hubby got. Short ribs Mac n cheese (he said it was ready good) I got some kind of chicken veggie and rice bowl to absolutely die for! White coconut rice next to perfectly sized cubed chicken, broccoli, walnuts, red pepper, onion, drizzled with honey and some other magic flavors that are yelling at me to eat more, even though I'm stuffed. The service was great, the prices were reasonable. (Did not get dessert) read more

So we decided to scurry on up to Pompano Beach for an adventure and decided to do lunch at The Vault. I'm told that it's an old bank building and found it to be open and bright. There's a busy bar and the tables are in the front, adjacent to the bar and in the back. Our four top was too close to the very noisy kitchen, which the day we were there, seemed to have a few loud mishaps that were jarring. Other than that, service was hit and miss but we weren't in a hurry. To the food: three out of four of us ordered the well reviewed smash burgers. Not a complaint from anyone. Very good they reported. The accompanying french fried potatoes got mixed reviews. Fresh cut and covered in some sort of whatever, we thought that they would be better plain. Me being the outlier, I chose the mahi plate which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The fish was prepared perfectly, moist and delicious. The sides were okay. About that broccoli: The Vault does love it. There was broccoli cheddar soup, a smashed broccoli cheese appetizer and the only side dish was...broccoli! I did notice that the bar was packed on the day we went (Saturday). Day drinkers having fun. We had a nice leisurely lunch at The Vault. read more

Amazing! I was looking for a place to grab a quick dinner with friends and the menu looked like it had a good variety. When we arrived we were seated promptly. This was Sunday evening around 6pm. I imagine at other times there would be a wait because it was not a very large restaurant. The building has cool architecture and a unique story described on the menu. All of their appetizers come in two sizes, small and large, so they are great for sharing. We started with the smashed broccoli which was made with cheese and breadcrumbs and served with ranch dressing. For my meal, I had the smash burger which was flavorful. My husband had the King of the Glades chicken parm sandwich with added ricotta and he said it was delicious. We also got some deviled eggs and mac and cheese for the table. Every item was served, fast, fresh, and flavorful. We were so hungry I forgot to take pictures! However I did get a picture of the most important thing, dessert! The bread pudding was the best ever and served warm. It was a huge portion and we got it with a side of ice cream. I would most definitely go back to the Vault for dinner and drinks. read more

The Vault in Pompano leans into its name with a cool, historic-inspired atmosphere that actually feels intentional, not gimmicky. It has that old-meets-modern vibe that makes it stand out right away. The food definitely holds up to the setting. The chicken wings were the highlight fall-off-the-bone tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Easily some of the better wings I've had. The egg rolls were crispy with a rich filling, and the mac and cheese was creamy and satisfying without being too heavy. Drinks were well-made, and the overall experience felt polished but still relaxed. It's one of those spots where the ambiance and food actually match, which is rarer than it should be. Definitely worth checking out. read more

I always go there for their lunch and it's a small menu but it's only $10 and worth it. I've had most of the menu items on there between the chicken sandwich, Laura croissant, and smash burger all of them are delicious. The decor is very 20s and I love the vibe especially sitting in the back where it's a bit darker. With the cute little lights. All the servers are very nice and even rush our food a little bit more because we are always in our work uniform. If I had to pick a favorite so far it would be the Laura Croissant. read more

On Monday, 2/9/26, my husband and I went to celebrate his birthday at the Vault. We arrived at 5:30 and able to choose a table. Our server, Reece, was welcoming and helpful with menu suggestions. I ordered a HH cocktail. Flapper's Fizz which was light and tasty. We both ordered the Braised Short Ribs with potatoes and gravy. It was Amazing!! The meat was so tender no knife was needed and perfect spices for a delicious meal!! Very good choice. By 6:00 pm it became busy, For dessert we split a banana pudding dish and enjoyed it thoroughly. The vibe here is a Speak Easy theme. Thank you to Reece for being attentive, cheerful, and helpful. We will return ! read more

I had a lunch date with my husband last week and sat at the bar. The service was very good considering that the bar tender was also the server for the whole restaurant and the food runner. He definitely kept busy when the restaurant filled up. The lunch menu for $10 is probably the best option for price and food quantity. Most people took advantage of the burger special. We opted to get a little more bang for our experience since we had never been here before. We order a bunch of appetizers or what they call small plates which were also very small portions. The menu has two prices, one for a very small portion and the larger price for a double portion which would serve two people. We started with the Buffalo Chicken Egg rolls which were my favorite. The outside was crispy and the inside was creamy. We had asked for both the ranch and blue cheese dipping sauce on the side but they only brought us the ranch. The Meatball was no bueno, One meatball was the size of a golf ball and it was cold in the center and needed to be sent back. The Mahi fingers were well cooked but we asked for them to be blackened but they were mostly grilled. The deviled eggs were very good and the small portion is shareable. The Cheesy smashed Broccoli was good but I was hoping for more broccoli for the price. Most everything we thought that the portion size was too small for the prices outside of Happy Hour. They do offer a menu with Happy Hour options after 4pm which might be a better time to dine here. read more

I thought I had already left a review for here! It was very good experience with delicious food and I absolutely love the old-timey black and white videos playing on the TVs.
