I had a free meal offer from a previous Yelp event, and decided to brave the chilly evening to redeem it at this Pompano Beach location. With only a few people coming in to pick up their orders, the restaurant was not that busy. I was greeted by a pleasant employee who took my order for a honey butter chicken sandwich meal, consisting of Mac and cheese, a drink, and a side of honey bbq sauce. After handing the employee the free meal offer and providing my name, I was instructed to wait a few minutes for my order to be ready. The dining area was spacious, offering plenty of seating and a relaxing atmosphere. Soon, I was handed my order. The chicken sandwich was hot, well-prepared, and truly enjoyable. The chicken was tender and lightly breaded, complemented by the honey butter, honey bbq sauce, pickles, and sweet brioche bun. The Mac and cheese was deliciously cheesy, and the drink was cold and refreshing. I am definitely looking forward to coming back. Visited to do a dine in and when I got to the order area there were 2 kiosks to place my order. Im not a fan of kiosk ordering for many reasons and prefer not to visit these type of establishments that use them. I was here and tried but the the sun was shinning through the windows and I could not see the menu options clearly and other issues adding more items so i decided to pack it up leave to go somewhere else to eat. I like your food but hate those kiosks. they are bad for business and you should consider allowing customers to place orders with a staff member to increase sales. if I make a negative number review, I would. The first time I ate here I ordered through Uber eats it took about 45 minutes to get here nonetheless whenever me and my wife ate the food. It was soggy to all hell. Fries were shit. Thank God they at least have a decent sauce. I tried to give this place a second shot today, first off the drive-through is confusing as all hell. My order was a Nashville chicken sandwich but honestly, it taste like it came from Alabama. It was terrible. Chicken taste like it was barely cooked. Disgusting. I hope I don't die. I've only ever ordered this place as delivery through one of those services, but every time, it comes out perfect. Waffle fries are always crispy, even after sitting in the car for a few minutes. I order their crispy chicken sandwich and spent a few dollars more to convert it into a meal. The chicken was all white breast meat and had a nice crunch on the outside. It came with lettuce and tomato on a soft bun. I left off the mayo and pickles and added some honey mustard sauce instead. The fries were thin and crispy. I helped myself to a drink from the multi choice coke machine. I don't know if it means anything, but there were a lot of police, firemen, and police diving team people eating here for lunch. Not sure if they get a special discount or what. But it was certainly a safe location to be dining at... Plus a nice bit of eye candy at the same time. I'd like to start by saying this is one of the more confusing drive thru's i've been to. I drive a 1-star compact car and i felt like at any point I was going to be riding a curb. I feel bad for normal size cars or bigger trying this obstacle course. That and where you order and pickup is just a bit odd. for 2 sandwiches we were told to circumnavigate the building to a spot which made exiting an issue. But stuff happens. I've gone through with bad plans before just like they have. Their chicken rocks! It's an alternative to CFA that in my opinion is better. Their staff seems overworked but they're also quick. And the Q of PDQ is a thing - their quality is apparent. We recently tried their fried turkey sandwich which is seasonal, and honestly, it tastes like chicken. It was kind of bland. I've been carrying around a comp card that was given to me for about 2 years. So I finally decided to dig it up and come in for some chicken. I decided on the 12 piece chicken nugget meal. They were kind enough to let me get half spicy and half regular with waffle fries and a drink. It was after 3 and we still hadn't had lunch. We spotted this restaurant as we drove by a shopping center and quickly pulled in. When we entered the restaurant we saw paper menus near the door, a video screen with the menu and plastic panels of the menu by the counter. We stopped by the video screen and considered our choices. We walked up to the counter and gave our order to a very friendly counter rep. I ordered a grilled turkey breast sandwich and cole slaw and hubby ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and fries. At the beverage area I selected the unsweetened iced tea. I loved that they had 3 types of teas in glass beverage dispensers with spigots. There were 2 soda machines flanking the area so people could make a custom concoction without having to stand in line. We sat at a table and the same counter person brought us our food. The whole restaurant was clean and the service was spot on. ENTREES: My sandwich had some kind of sauce on it that I didn't love. It also had a slab of cranberry sauce from a can (I expected a relish and not the gelatinous canned type). Hubby liked it so we swapped. I liked the grilled chicken more than the turkey (it was more juicy). SIDES: His fries were delicious - I restrained myself to only eat a couple of long, lean and crispy pieces. I just didn't get the concept of the blueberry cole slaw. I ordered it for hubby - I was put off by the idea of blueberry cole slaw but he was intrigued so I ordered it for him. I tasted it and it was better than I expected but I didn't love it. I really like cole slaw and I really like blueberries - I just don't like them together, especially when garnished with poppy seeds. I just don't get it but if it sells and people like it, who am I to say? DESSERT: Hubby ordered a chocolate chip cookie. I passed because it was prepackaged and looked like it'd be crumbly and just ok. I tasted it when he opened the bag. My assumption was spot on. I bet the shakes would've been killer. I have eaten at PDQ a few times and just do not like the chicken. It tastes like it is pumped full of salty chemicals. It reminds me of the frozen chicken breasts from the grocery store that are high in sodium. It is served with iceberg lettuce, which is another downfall....put some dark green romaine on there please! They slice up a few cherry tomatoes, shred some carrots and radishes, & dried sweet cranberries for toppings. The milkshakes are AWESOME!!! I had an Oreo with dark chocolate chips added. The fact that the chicken is fresh, never frozen and they don't add any hormones or steroids. No mystery meat here. I mostly get a salad when I go but I have had the tenders and sandwiches and everything has been enjoyable and tasty. This visit I ordered a crispy chicken salad which is a hand tossed mix of salad greens, chunks of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, mixed cheese and croutons and a nice amount of chunks of chicken. I add avocado for $1 so $8.29 all in, not a bad deal. It only takes a few minutes to put the salad together and then they call you up to the counter by name to grab your order. The tables and restaurant are always clean and there's always someone walking around wiping stuff down and checking on you to make sure everything is okay. They have 10-12 salad dressing options to choose from including a few you've probably never heard of like blueberry ginger or sweet siracha, I always go with classic caesar. In addition to the many food options they also have hand spun milk shakes & homemade cookies. PDQ is a hidden gem; I have been around the area but never stopped here to eat. I love how the food is fresh and tasty! I decided to be a little healthy today and get the grilled chicken salad. It came with a blueberry vinaigrette dressing; the dressing was tasty but it was someone thick for a salad. (I would put it on toast lol ) I got a side of honey mustard instead. I love this place! When I lived in Pembroke Pines I'd drive all the way to Fort Lauderdale for their original location. Then I moved to Parkland and they opened one in pines.. so whenever I was going to pines I'd make a point to stop in. This pompano one is much closer just out east. I keep telling the manager to open in Boca :) The staff is always nice and the place does seem very clean. I love their chicken nuggets. Best part- their sauces! Sweet sriracha and honey BBQ are my favorite for the chicken and I always get creamy garlic for the fries.
